Yes Corrie M. I noticed that too. Yet he was able / willing to sing! I honorably admire, asny other, such an entertainer, who can & did sing, under such memoriys & pressure. + Good man Shaun!
I had Shaun on one of my flights back in the 90’s. We (SWA) took him from Dallas to LA. He gave me a transcript that he autographed of a tv show he was on and had just finished in Dallas. He was very sweet and still very cute.🥰
Shaun was one of my teen crushes, I was very fortunate to get his jacket at the end of one of his concert , I was in the first row with my cousin she took me. He sang the last song to me n gave me his jacket cause I was shaking with cold. He still has a wonderful voice. I watched him on Oprah Winfrey and I loved what he said. This came across my feed and I am so glad I did! Not only a tribute to his older brother, but also a modest show of Shaun’s bonafide talent, legacy, and love.
Truly incredible. Shaun is very talented and seldom got the near record accolades that his brother David received. The similarities in their voices is unmistakable. R.I.P. David. Great job Shaun.

Really does. So much talent in that family. Patrick is another good actor and Ryan looks a lot like David and Jack. I love Shaun's sense of humor. Great to see him out there again.
This is so amazing to watch, I love that Shawn and David were so close and love hearing real life stories from their youth...I miss David Cassidy, he was so talented 💗💗
I'm sorry but he really sounds nothing like David's beautiful breathy voice, Shaun has a more theatre type of voice, still very nice but not like David. xx
David Cassidy was my first concert in fourth grade my mother took me to see him at the Civic Center in Baltimore Maryland and I was so high up he looked like a little dot wearing that white outfit with all the fringe but boy was I in heaven that day watching him run across that stage singing. For the longest time when he sang Brown eyes I could’ve sworn he was singing to me.😀 I would daydream during school about David rush home put his albums on and lay there and stare at all his posters on my wall. Couldn’t wait to the tiger beat magazine came out to run and see the new photo in there because I always knew he would be there somewhere. Definitely my first childhood crush and Friday nights were long awaited for that amazing list of TV shows the Brady Bunch the partridge family the odd couple love American style!!
Saw David & Petula Clark twice in ‘Blood Bros’ 1994 New Haven, CT, such a great musical, David did a superb job in his role! I was so impressed with his performance, but forget who took over Shaun’s role…would’ve loved to have seen him perform with David in that show…
Beautiful tribute to your brother David. I had Teen Beat posters of him all over my room, watched Partridge Family faithfully because of David and loved his songs! Gone but not forgotten.❤️
I was fortunate to see them in Blood Brothers in NYC. It was a dream come true, as I loved them both as a pre teen and teen! What a beautiful tribute.. ❤️❤️

And now I'm crying - like really crying! - at the most wonderful, beautiful, moving "memorial" being shared of one brother's love for another. Can't get any more simpler than that. And the whole thing - the stories of them growing up, the memories he shared, David's health difficulties towards the end .... and Shaun with that magnificent voice. I don't know where you are in the midwest, but the shows are fairly broad spaced across the US. I hope you get to go.
@@mjtallon7101 - I did check out his tour schedule after posting that comment and discovered he will be a couple of hours away. But I am handicapped and cannot travel a long distance. But my dream nearly came true. I hope the people who are attending know how lucky they are as I never thought Shaun would tour again. Very special times.
@@shyman99 I'm sorry to hear he's not coming anywhere close enough to you. I hope you will get another chance sometime.

Maybe now is the time to call in favors. They probably have special access at the venue. And I bet there will be other fans there who are men, not just "the husbands."
Wow what a powerful rendition. Wow It looked like Shaun had tears in his eyes talking about David
Shaun Cassidy was really close to his brother, David. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Class act all the way
Yes Corrie M. I noticed that too. Yet he was able / willing to sing! I honorably admire, asny other, such an entertainer, who can & did sing, under such memoriys & pressure. + Good man Shaun!
What a great eulogy you did for David! I had tears. I'm sure David was up there watching and he and your family are so proud.
I have loved Shaun since I was in the 2nd grade. But now I love him even more. Sweet tribute to David.
What a sweet, dear man! He’s a treasure.
That he realizes he gave special moments to his fans n still can see the little teen age girl in the 50yr old woman. When I hear him sing I to remember my teen age heart.
No one got the accolades David Cassidy got
Well Sometimes it’s hard to play second fiddle to your older sibling who’s already a huge star he did his own thing and did well enough .
I remember living in Orange County, Ca I was in my 20’s in 1979-80 and I was asked to a teenage girl and her friend to a Shaun Cassidy concert at Anaheim Convention Center. Yes I went! Wasn’t into his music but those teens were !
To this day my friend and I still talk about that concert that I took her too !!
Brotherly love. What a lovely tribute from brother to brother.
He looks just like his mom, Shirley Jones!
He does
He sure does, and David looks just like their father. God bless them both. I often wondered what happened to Shaun after seeing him in concert pback in the late 70's early 80's at the Providence civic Center in Providence, R. I. and he hasn't changed much at all, he's still an awesome singer.
Yes he does
Really does. So much talent in that family. Patrick is another good actor and Ryan looks a lot like David and Jack. I love Shaun's sense of humor. Great to see him out there again.
I think his grin was his Dads.
This is so amazing to watch, I love that Shawn and David were so close and love hearing real life stories from their youth...I miss David Cassidy, he was so talented 💗💗
What an absolutely beautiful tribute. Beautiful.
OMGOSH Shaun sounds like David, singing this song I'll Meet You Halfway. RIP David Cassidy and thank you Shaun Cassidy. 🙂❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'm sorry but he really sounds nothing like David's beautiful breathy voice, Shaun has a more theatre type of voice, still very nice but not like David. xx
Davids much deeper and better
I saw Shaun and David Cassidy in "Blood Brothers" with Petula Clark... they were all fantastic!
Saw David and Petula in Blood Brothers tour.
My friend did the costumes for that show.
Ditto Jeffrey, they were awesome!!
Lucky you! It’s a great show! I played Mrs. Lyons many years ago in a local production.
Saw David & Petula Clark twice in ‘Blood Bros’ 1994 New Haven, CT, such a great musical, David did a superb job in his role! I was so impressed with his performance, but forget who took over Shaun’s role…would’ve loved to have seen him perform with David in that show…
He had and still has a good voice. And I can hear a tinge of David in his tone 😊❤️
Beautiful tribute to your brother David. I had Teen Beat posters of him all over my room, watched Partridge Family faithfully because of David and loved his songs! Gone but not forgotten.❤️
I attended this show. Shaun did a fantastic job and I loved that he did such a loving tribute to David!
Glad to see Shaun still singing. You shouldn't lose your brother so young.
I was fortunate to see them in Blood Brothers in NYC. It was a dream come true, as I loved them both as a pre teen and teen! What a beautiful tribute.. ❤️❤️
Sean got his mother's strong sense of self and steady personality. This is very moving - bravo.
Do y know who his mom was? Not shirley jones
@@jylbartol7233 Sean Cassidy's mother was Shirley Jones, his father was Jack Cassidy. David Cassidy's mother was an actress named Evelyn Wood - she was Jack Cassidy's first wife, Shirley was his second. Shirley was David's step mother. I'm old, I remember this stuff - don't know why but I do. Jack Cassidy was on television all the time, he was a household name and he was very funny. He could sing extremely well too. Shaun got it from both sides.
@@paulascott5701 yes im 58 lol i had Shaun Cassidy pictures all over my wall. I thought the comment was about David i tried to delete but it wouldn’t💕

@@shelby412 You are right! Ward....darned auto correct. 🙂
So hard to believe it has been 40 years. Basically I am same age remember them so vividly. So impressed with his sincerity charisma and love. Class Act of respect.
Hearing him sing, wow, Shaun still sounds like he did on my 45 singles. Even now his voice takes me back to being 7 in the 70s. 🤭💕😉🙏🏻
I loved Shaun's version of the song, the doo run run. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Da do run run run ! 🙂
Love Shaun Cassidy - was my first "crush" - had that famous poster of him , shirtless with the shiny open jacket. Watched him and David on TV - listened to their singing. This brought back so many memories of my youth. Beautiful tribute! :)
Shaun was my first crush in 1976/77. I had his albums and I would kiss his poster every night. Ah, childhood memories.
Shaun is a class act. I love this tribute. Thanks for all the music and memories David and Shaun. Your voice is still so beautiful
I've been a fan of David's since The Partridge Family. I've been a fan of Shaun's since The Hardy Boys. I cried when David died. The one I fell in love with back in the late 70s, and the one that is still so beautiful and strong, years later.
Thank you, Shaun .....and RIP David.
Thank you Shaun for sharing your memories of your brother the late great gorgeous talented David , it is a beautiful tribute to him. xxx
Shaun, your tribute to your brother David was so beautiful! I grew up listening to your brother sing and was saddened to hear of what he went through in his life. He is very proud of you and would love what you are doing. This tribute brought tears running down my cheeks. Thank you!
I'm so glad Shaun Cassidy was my first celebrity crush when I was 9-10 yrs old! 💗 I'm 55 now. This brought me to tears; what he said about David is sooo sweet!
This was lovely. I lost my only sibling more than ten years ago and I understand some of the pain Shaun expressed so well. The song was beautiful. Shaun’s voice is better than ever. I wish he performed more, but he has produced and directed several great television shows.
@@michellecd4722 I know somewhat how you feel. I lost my only brother 2 years ago. I still have a sister but one day one of us will not be able to say that.
Wow still has a beautiful voice !!!! What a loving tribute to David ❤️
Tears are RUNNING down my cheeks with this one! Wow, he Still sounds GREAT!!! Thanks so much for sharing this; Trina! I remember seeing the two of them in "Bloodbrothers" on stage.....will NEVER forget it! 'Say it's just not true' is STILL a ballad like no other.
Richard
I saw that too. I went with my mom. It is one of my favorite memories. They were both wonderful in it.
I’ve rewatched some of David’s performances on RUclips and he actually had a better voice than I remembered. And whoever wrote “I Woke Up in Love This Morning” you are Aces!
"Brand new Me' LOOOVE that one!
Shaun makes my heart flutter🥰. Beautiful tribute to David💕.
Shaun Cassidy still looks good for his age. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Thank you, Shaun!!! I have tears and I'm choked up. You did his songs good!!! ❤❤❤
His voice is just as I remember it. Great tribute to his brother, David.
My first concert was seeing Shaun Cassidy in the late ‘70’s. I still have his albums and an 8 track. I still have the partridge family albums too. It’s nice to see this. 🥰
Me too!!! He opened for Andy Gibb in '79, I was 10, great memories!!!!!
@@kariqualters5908 Wow that must have been some concert!
I took my daughter and her friends to see Shaun in concert for her 13th birthday. Even as a Mom, it was really amazing. They were nuts about him. That was 40 years ago. Never saw David, regretfully. Did see another Cassidy, I believe, Patrick, touring with Joseph and His Technicolor Dream Coat. Very talented young men.
I always loved "I'll meet you Halfway." My dad was a Methodist Minister & once used it for a sermon about trying to get along with others. "Blood Brothers" was brilliant!! Best show David ever did.
Yes it was. I went with my mom. They were wonderful.
This is so great. I loved David Cassidy from the time I saw him on The Partridge Family the very first time through everything and when Shawn first started singing in touring I got to see him in concert and actually say hi to him as he was running up on stage by me. Two very handsome beautiful talented Brothers, and it's awesome to hear Shawn speak so highly of David. None of us are perfect and all of us have problems but it's great that they obviously seemed to work things out and stay relatively close.🙏❤
Thank you Shaun for thinking of David and singing the song as he would
I love you both in the 1970, I was 8 years old and if I could I would of married the.
both of you. Thank you for everything you did for us fans I’ll never will forget how happy you made us feel. Thank you both ❤️❤️❤️
I remember seeing Blood Brit and it was wonderful - seeing these two brothers on same stage. Listening to Shaun talking about David was emotional. Sibling love is special. Thanks for sharing your singing and writing talent, Shaun.
David Cassidy was the 1st Album I ever had as a teen my parents gave in to my requests and bought me a stereo and the Partridge Family Notebook, and I listened to it day and night then, I grew up and continued being an avid David Cassidy fan, as I grew older into my teens Shaun was all of a sudden a big hit. I love both of these wonderful men thank you Shaun , for sharing your love and memories...
I had a scrapbook of Shaun Cassidy....cutout pictures from Tiger Beat and Other magazines....posters on the wall. Da doo run run....and I loved Him and David Cassidy both. They were genuine good men....and wonderful talent. I miss those days!!
Yes yes Sean Cassidy, one of my 70s and 80s favs Hardy boys Nancy Drew Mysteries forever❤️❤️❤️
I got to see you in concert when l was pregnant with my son and it was a honor Shaun. . I wish l had seen David too yet l saw him in my dreams twice. I can see the hurt in your eyes when you talked about David. We who loved him are still hurt too knowing that he is gone yet he's not forgotten.
Well said
Shaun you did a greaatt tribute to your brother. .Your singing is better than ever. . Thank you for that.
Thank you for sharing stories of David Cassidy, who I just loved!! Of course You too!!!
Shaun was my first crush along with Bay City Rollers and then my first ever concert. I watched David on tv. He did this memorial so well. So much respect for Shaun xx
What a lovely tribute to his brother!!
Such a beautiful tribute to his brother.😥💜
Shaun's voice hasn't changed, still clear and strong!😯🎶👏👏👏
Brings back sweet adolescent memories.
I still have his LPs and a poster or 2.😉👍
Amazing ! Tears are flowing but they are happy tears. Always loved Shaun, had all his albums when I was growing up. Beautiful !!!
Wonderful memories! I was just one of millions who had a crush on David. His poster on my wall, every magazine on my nightstand. Thank you for sharing your story Shaun. Sweet💖
Shaun and David both have such amazing voices. I miss David. Both so talented.
Yes siblings are the best 💞🤗😘 my three sisters and I grew up with The Partridge family and Shaun Cassidy. My folks took us to see them in concert at McNichols Arena . My oldest sister DeWana was had over heels for Shaun. Growing up she got the nickname Deanie 💞 so when Shaun wrote "Hey Deanie" of course she was really head over heels. DeWana was the oldest of us 4 girls, I remember when she first got her record player and she had all the good albums and we would sit around just like Shaun and you others I'm certain (the albums always had a sleeve with the words to every song) and we would sing sing. DeWana has passed away and we miss her everyday. Thanks Shaun for the memories 💞👣😘🤗 and we will meet them again God bless you 🙏
I didn’t realize how much this was a part of my life until Shaun sang
.
His voice sounded just like David's voice. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Thank you Shaun. This is beautiful. It’s 2024 and I still remember going to my first concert and seeing you at 13! I had posters of you all over every inch of my bedroom. And I loved David too & such a beautiful tribute to him. Much ❤
OOO My Goodness This had me crying. WOW What a Wonderful Stream.. Thank You Shaun for the concert and to Trina Minnich for sharing the stream.
How beautiful is this?? Being 58 now, I fully was engulfed with David Cassidy/Partridge Family, and benefitted from The Hardy Boys/Shaun Cassidy as well. This tribute was absolutely heart-warming, gracious, and so endearing...Shaun, you are a class act. The sincerity of your words, and musical tribute to David was stunning. Thank you for the memories....
Such a beautiful tribute to David. You both were/are so talented and had a huge influence on my life growing up! ❤❤
Geez, all these years later, I still know all the words to "I'll meet you halfway" Thank you for sharing your memories of David and life.
I’ve missed his voice. Still sounds awesome. Sing for us kind sir. Thank you for talking to us about David. We miss him too. You sound so good here! Awesomeness. Thank you for sharing this with us Trina.
Beautiful tribute. ❤️ 💙 Much talent with you both. God bless you. 👏 👏
Always Loved Shaun and David. They were very close. I am sure he must really miss him.
Shawn I remember watching David on The Partridge Family and thinking what an amazing person you just bought that all back tenfold thank you so much are bringing the happiness and joy of your brother back! As a child watching David in The Partridge Family always made me so happy and watching you talk about David and sing songs just bought that happiness back to me he was so lucky to have a younger brother like you!
I know every word to this song, and I had to stop this video because my tears were flowing ... such a beautiful tribute, Shaun.
I crushed on David when I was about seven. I crushed on Shaun when I was about twelve. I absolutely love this touching tribute from Shaun to David and Patrick and Ryan . My gosh, he sounds so much like David. I love these songs so much🥰🥰
Awesome job, Shaun, David would be so proud, as he always said he was. Thank you
Shaun Cassidy- I’ll never forget him bursting through that big paper circle. The teen girls were all screaming and the flashbulbs were flashing. It was the most noise I ever heard. I loved his singing. And no, I was not one of those screaming girls but I was an adult woman. I enjoyed his performance as much as those girls. It was the only live concert I ever went to and I’ll never forget it.
And, he still has the voice. God bless him.
What a beautiful tribute !
People forget that these Pop Idols were brothers/family. I remember the rave reviews they got for Blood Brothers. This is SO POIGNANT on so many levels!
