Thanks for this! I struggled to get the gaskets holding the muffler up off when working under the car. You can stick a couple of screwdrivers through the hole in the middle and use that to create leverage to pop them off.
We have not heard of clearance issues with this hitch when approaching inclines. You will want you accessories to have a raised shank so that you don't risk dragging. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C11406.html
On my 2015 fit, on the passenger side, there is not enough bolt exposed to thread the nut onto, and with the no way to secure the back of the bolt, I am unable to thread the nut onto it
If you are having issues with exhaust rattle after installing this hitch, you may try bending the exhaust hanger bracket in a direction that will hold the exhaust away from the hitch. You can also get shorter or longer exhaust hangers to avoid making contact with the hitch. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C11406.html
This hitch is capable of handling 200 lbs of tongue weight and 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight capacity. Depending on how much your bike and the racks weight you may be able to do it! I would recommend going with a 4 bike hanging style rack because of the low ground clearance of this vehicle. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Curt/C11406.html www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Hitch_Bike_Racks-sf-Hanging_Rack.aspx
This is hugely helpful, thank you! Great quality and concise

You may need to wiggle the fish wire to get the bolt to fall through the hole in the frame.

I’m having issues with rattling between the hitch and exhaust. Any one have the same issue?
