Weird era in band's history and clearly boys don't feel comfortable without Graham being there, though it was Graham's decision to quit and band's decision to carry on. Still "Think Tank" is a great record in its own right, very sad, candid, romantic and experimental.
They kicked him out themselves. Graham said in an interview he got a call from (not sure who) someone from the production team that the three others didn’t want him to come to the studio.

Kudos to Simon Tong for playing with Blur and quietly doing a great job. Not trying to be Graham; I reference Beetlebum outro - similar to Graham’s riff, but not exactly the same. I saw them twice during this era and both times the Think Tank material sounded incredible; it’s a great record. As good as it could be without Graham. Really it’s Alex’s Record Id say. Brave of them to play older material and it’s ok, but nothing compared to when GC is in the band. But as I say, fair play to Simon Tong. Good job. And he got to be in The Good The Band and The Queen probably because of this, and play on Gorillaz albums.
Great performance and set from the legends as us big Blur fans realise. However, so empty without Graham via Harmonies and mainly guitar. I have seen Blur live myself on (now) two documented shows which themselves + the media said was historic. First being their headline spot at Glastonbury Festival 2009 (on their first comeback with Graham that year/reunion) and the 2nd being a 180 capacity venue in Wolverhampton, to which was a secret VIP show for charity back in 2015. Both amazing!
I love Blur so freaking much but excepting Out of Time I don't feel the sound at all, Graham is such an amazing guitarist and 2003 era wasn't their "best best" glad they're back and with new music, they're ace!!! ✨🙌
I like think tank, not my favourite Blur album but it's good but live without Graham is not the same..it's impossible to replace him, and the prove is this concert..
Yeah most probably what u can hear is the backing singer's voice, to whom the camera cuts shortly after Dave and Damon. Not saying Dave's shit singer either put his job among drumming is to back the backing singers here, hence u don't hear him very clearly.
The fate of Blur was a sad one. Had Coxon been part of Think Tank, the music would have maintained classic power. Had Blur continued onward from 2003, they could have reached the status in the States that they missed out on. The UK Indie scene grew huge as soon as they went on hiatus. Poor timing, really... I'm happy to see everyone together for the first...time in LA. Cheers!
+rock2dream That is. This show was fantastic but sad at the same time ; I was there and "Sweet Song" was the most hurtful moment for all fans but esp. Damon whom had a very hard time to recover after singing Battery...... as this song was the last Graham did, missing terribly ... Hopefully back "home"...
The UK indie scene was far bigger in the 90s than it was in the 2000s. The 2000s indie scene in the UK was/is often referred to as 'landfill indie' because the bands where seen as a pale imitation of the indie/britpop bands that had made a far bigger impact in the 90s. Blur had zero chance of breaking the US at this point no matter what, but they were always massive in the UK. Not a bad fate at all :)
+Betti B Is it an extended jam from the 2 release? Its awesome, but totally not what is being played. Took me a while to realize! I just thought his mic was off, ha.

thank you 💕
Battery in Your Leg is sadder than anything. My god. Damon looks like he's on the verge of crying.
I thought you were exaggerating but uhhhhhhhhhh
Damon Albarn, my favourite singer.
It doesn't matter anymore, lads. The band is back together again!
Thanks Haidren
It doesn't even matter In the end

Dave Griffiths more like damons record. He was really getting into World music at the time.
I concur with Think Tank being the Alex James show, some of the most fun bass lines in their discography.
aww poor Damon seems upset during sweet song🥺🥺cause its about Graham i think😔💔
45:20 scared the piss out of me
thank you! i love this band
Tanya Sparrow Have Other videos in My Account well, please visit
Rodrigo Bustamante 1:13:46 not sync tho ^^
sweet song ...
Ouch
The sad thing about Blur live in 2003 is that Damon was at his best vocally by some distance but Graham wasn’t there to compliment it... what a waste
Simon Tong of The Verve is playing guitar.
hearing Tender without Graham's guitar and vocals felt sad, wrong and weird
Tender gets me every time. Every. Time.
All the concert are insane. Battery in your leg

Tambien es mi favorito junto a modern life.
Y actual guitarrista de The good the bad & the queen 😉
The VERVE :D
weird without Graham
How much he s influenced generations and still hasn't stopped thanks mr 👍

It’s so hard not seeing Graham
sweet song 30:05
Dave is insane respect,

Tender just isn't the same without Graham.

what a concert! great setlist! shame on me, that i missed that tour ;-( ... These times they don`t play so many songs of one album...

41:03 Dave singing

He was singing quite good , more powerful
looks like it's more backing singer than Dave

Blur did continue on... sorry you've missed out
1:06:19 battery in your leg
man i love that! great Damon, great Blur band :D
This june they`ve been in Paris at the Zenith and 2003 Bataclan - special meaning these days...
Damon's voice sounds great.
It's mad though, you remove Graham, & it v. quickly becomes a Damon Albarn project as opposed to BLUR.
Aww! Just a baby!
1:10:15 damon's water bottle theory
1:09:22 now that's a good crowd..
The guitar player isn´t a patch on Graham.
the last concert we could see Damon Albarn intact....with intact voice itself
wdym
you're welcome....
Nah this isnt it. Graham is so important to their sound this just sound like the played a gig without a guitarist
in this theater terrorists kill people quietly enjoy a musical act
rest in peace all those who died in the attack

really great era for Blur, they seem more mature without Graham.
Wtf have I just read
@@Allex-yp6hs also i'd say it's their most authentic era. I feel like Graham was a great pretender and chameleon.
@@mynameismark25 ok, it's your opinion but you can't denied that graham was the main impeller to quit the Britpop
i hope ur kidding,,
