    This looks quite different from what I've grown up on as shirini nokhodchi / nan nokhodchi. It's supposed to be super soft and crumbly and very sensitive to the touch. But I'm sure this twist is also delicious :)

      I made it a touch different, a bit more close to a westernized cookie :)

    I used to be a big bikkie fan until i had to give up sugar. These look soooo yummo. Could I make them with stevia powder instead of sugar? I seem to recall that for an equal sweetness, you use less stevia than sugar by volume or weight.... (not sure about that).... if that is so, then what would I use to bulk out the dry ingredients? An extra Michelin Star for these!! AH... Just noticed Ponte Vedra's comment.... looks promising.
