Thanks for the comment. If the pipe was perfectly smooth, then there would be no friction between the fluid and the wall. But in reality, this is not possible. Even very smooth pipes will offer some friction, and thus a velocity gradient. Hope that helps?

Bro if fluid is viscous and the pipe is smooth then will the no slip condition seen in pipe or not?
