In total honesty, this is much better than anything I heard of Permanence. That album sounded like a Memphis May Fire cover record. This has some originality to it. I really dig this direction.

As far as letlive. you're right, I hear Mr. Butler in that chorus, but there's no post-rock, experimental influence in this, this is hardcore all the way. Just because his vocals sound similar to Butler, doesn't mean it sounds like letlive. Have another listen, and pay attention to these instrumentals. There's more to music than vocals.
This is not original. it is almost 100% Letlive. Not just the chorus. And especially 1:58 onwards.
