Bad Company consisted of four seasoned musicians: two former members of Free, singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke; former Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs; and ex-King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell. The band signed to Swan Song Records/Atlantic Records in North America, and with Island Records in other countries. (Island Records had until that time been the UK home to both Free and King Crimson, as well as to Mott the Hoople for their first four albums; Atlantic, in turn, released King Crimson's and Mott's early albums in the US through a licensing agreement with Island). Atlantic/Warner Music would later acquire the non-North American rights to the band's catalogue. ( from Wikipedia

I was here for this as a teenager….. Slash walked through the crowd on his way up to the stage as Bad Company was finishing the song before it, and brushed up against me, leather jacket, top hat and all….. I looked at my father and said “Oh my god, I think Slash just bumped into m, and he looked at me like I was crazy”….. Then this happened

"10 from 6" wuz just a compilation album IIRC
Certainly WAS NOT one of their 'regular' studio releases - I'm old enough to've bought them ALL - (1st-time around) - I started with "Straight Shooter" (their 2nd album), then, retrospectively bought their 1st-album (debut) with "Ready For Love" & "Seagull"
I can still remember buying "Burning Sky", "Run With The Pack" AND even "Desolation Angels" in the 1970's
Only 1980's BC album I bought was "Rough Diamonds"
      That was back in 1982.
In other words, I bought ALL of their albums when "new" & always upon 1st-initial-release (except 1st)
Should also explain that I was a fan of "FREE"
Bad Co, were FAR more successful in the U.S.A
      Many Brit' record-buyers had 'poor-taste', sadly !!!!!

Instead of waiting until the end to sing the higher pitched words of "wishing well" Paul brings it in earlier...when you mix that with the slightly more distorted guitar it works out perfectly, and sounds amazing.

My .....Lord....SMH......Just absolutely blown away by the preservation of what was the Greatest Rock Voice of the 70's.....I have to look at who is really a challenger to the claims of Pauls Fans that deserves the title of Greatest Rock Vocalist Of All Times..
.It's a very short list when you start back in the 70's.
    You got...
Robert Plant...and no doubt popularity matters...But how long was RP able to duplicate his studio work on stage??.... If he ever could...that's a night I haven't heard but I would love to...
Ronnie James Dio...Pretty much the same age group as Paul...Powerful as hell... On stage...RJD was even better and he didn't peak until the early 90's...But even the Golden Throat had to back it down in the 21st Century...And the voice evolved over time...Paul is crystal clear like day 1.
Steven Tyler......I don't know...He still has his moments of greatness to this very day...But could he do a show like this as flawlessly as Paul does.?
Mick Jagger?...Lets not even go there..stage presence and personality.is a different category
Ian Gillan,,,,, Worn out by 1985.....Purple is better today than they were in 1985...But consistency has to count for something...
I don't know Folks.....Since Freddy Mercurys' time was cut short....and Paul surprising held his own with Queen so many years after...and Freddies Catalog is no walk in the park at all...
I gotta say...preferences Aside......(R.J.D.. forgive me man R.I.P.)...I have to say...
Paul Rodgers is indeed the Greatest Rock Vocalist Of All Time ....So far....and I don't see any serious challengers out there....
What do you people think?.....Did I forget anyone???

Ian Gillan bought the house down in 85 when I seen him. Incredible. Ronnie James Dio kept his voice his entire career. So has halford . Joe Lynn turner still sounds good. Sammy hager still sounds good. Phil mogg lasted pretty good for quite awhile as well

Saw Guns and Roses live but never Bad Company. Paul Rodgers was one of the greatest performers/vocalists of any generation.
