Love your videos Lisa but I have a difficult time comparing my dry skin with your dry skin since you are 20+ years younger than I. Have you ever considered using older models on your RUclips channel occasionally? I am a new subscriber and follower. I was searching for a dry skin foundation and stumbled into this video. I have spent a fortune purchasing about every department store foundation and brush trying to find one that doesn't just sit in my fine lines. I took a huge leap and purchased the brushes you recommended, the Kjaer Weis foundation and blush, primer, oil etc. This is zero exaggeration - it has completely changed my appearance. Absolutely flawless and amazing result. I am over the moon. Thank you!

Grabbed the sampler kit, thanks! I have dry, 58 year old skin and I loved the tip for oil in the foundation! I also wanted to tell you that your brushes are amazing! Best I have ever used!
The oil and foundation has been around for a long time. Wayne Goss mentioned it years ago. You can mix your favorite facial oil with any dry skin friendly foundation without having to buy new products.

I have been using KW for about 2 years and it is one of my favourite foundations on my dry mature skin🙂 I also like Shiseido synchro skin glow and Chanel n 1.
Yes a video dedicated to us with dry skin 😍 haven’t tried Kjaer Weis yet. I’ve heard you and Tati talk about it but I’m very intrigued by the brand after this video
I bought my sample pack the other day, so happy I did! The formulas are so gorgeous & love how buildable the color is. All of the products are making my skin look so glowy & healthy! Going to buy the full size Blossoming blush & Primer when I run out of this sample!
Hi Lisa as someone with super dry, mature, rosacea and eczema prone skin, foundation can be a struggle. I need some coverage for the redness, but many foundations look dry/cakey and powder is not my friend (nor setting sprays with alcohol). I really like the Mac F&B as my quick base, but I have found a way to make my others work. I do my normal layered skincare and spf then wait about 20 mins to allow the spf to set up. Now is when I prime and I use two primers - one for the nose area to help disguise pores and then the Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base (or the Revolution dupe superbase) on the rest of the face. I smooth my foundation over it with fingers and bounce a sponge on thereafter to ensure an even blend. Buffing with brushes is not the best for rosacea (no matter how good the brush is) and fingers/sponge is more gentle. This gives me an application that isn't dry or cakey with foundations I was struggling to make work eg GA luminous silk and Sephora best skin ever (both supposedly great for dry skin). A tiny dusting of powder around the nose/pore area (I use either the by Terry or the Hourglass powders) and I'm done. I don't live in a humid place and my foundation doesn't really need set as I'm so dry. I also don't need to set my concealer as I use the most tiny amount I can get away with. For touch ups I carry a small amount of foundation and the Laura Gellor balance n brighten to cover any redness that peeks through. At 51 with a lifetime of dry skin that has only become drier with age (it is so so dry), this is my best application technique. Having super dry skin is like another skin type, as it's so much different to the more standard normal to dry. I use body creams as moisturiser as most face creams are not rich enough, so I hope that can help others out there struggling with severe dryness. Best wishes.
Ordered the sample pack! I have been struggling just recently with dry skin. I turned 43 in February and I also had an accident that has left me confined to my home and it seems the combination has triggered my skin to a very dry condition so I am super excited to try these products!
Thanks for the video! Would love to see your actual weekly skincare routine. Not dedicated to a specific brand or anything but what you use & rotate as i know different days/nights change for skincare.
One of the reasons I do not watch many of your videos is because the high-end prices of your recommended products is unrealistic for most people. The oil you recommend here is $145.00! I love you and your makeup tips, but remember, times are tough right now. Thank you!
I ordered the sample set and the liquid foundation. The cream looks great but I am quite a bit older so not sure how it would look on my skin. Excited to try the new products!
I was skeptical at first, but after using dermalmd glowing serum serum for a few days, I can honestly say that my skin looks brighter and more radiant.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing this same result using a POWDER foundation someday. I'm turning 40 this yr as well & have dry mature/maturing skin. I have a TON of redness on my 4head, cheeks, chin & nose that NEEDS coverage. Recently I've shifted back N2 the liquid/cream foundations BUT EVERYTHING I try either looks cakey when I set it or my setting powder moves the foundation underneath (because the formula of the foundation is so hydrating) after I've built up the ideal balance of coverage that has my preferred finish on the skin. I NEED ALL the tips & tricks I can get!!! LOL. I'm currently using the Wet N Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator & setting it w/the Hard Candy Translucent Sheer Envy Loose Powder. While I LOVE that combo, it makes me look dry. I was using the Hard Candy Tinted Moisturizer w/the same Hard Candy Translucent Sheer Envy Loose Powder but it moved the foundation underneath as I said earlier.
Try PUR foundation & setting powder. I have eczema & rosacea and wore this combo for my sister’s outdoor wedding 2 years ago (in the summer). It lasted all day through sweat & tears. (Her wedding was in southeast Ohio, so you know it gets muggy). I loved the coverage & it never made my skin feel really dry. I did use Urban Decay “All Nighter” setting spray too. Let me know your thoughts.
This is a great video for us with dry skin! I would love to see a budget friendly version of this! I have to try out the sample set that's a no-brainer! 🩷
Thanks for an informative video, Lisa! I have been using Kiehl's face and eye moisturizers lately and loving those. I love the Hourglass products and some of the Kosas ones that are light and airy, letting the skin breathe. I'm also a Philosophy girl, and I've been using their cleansers, exfoliating masks, etc. for 25 years.
Love this thank you. Not sure if this brand is available in the UK 🇬🇧?? Have always loved a cream foundation but so many brands add minerals/ powder it is hard to get the right consistency and also colours.

Some of the products I love for dry skin are the Hourglass Ambient palettes, Josie Maran argan oil and now the MERIT serum oil, what a difference big time! Cream products mixed with finely milled powders are my go to. BTW I had to get ready quickly this morning so I did your quick GRWM and loved it, thank you Lisa!
