- Jamie Hannah is one of the most impressive young players in our game, you don't often see forwards with the skillset and game awareness that this kid has as well as the engine and toughness to boot. He is one very impressive player.
He is also a massive lad as well, growing up in North Canterbury living the good life on the farm riding motorbikes and playing footy.
Some key points in this episode were..

- The challenges of maintaining weight and strength.
- The valuable lessons he learned from experienced players like Sam Whitelock.

Jamie is an outstanding young man. I've had the pleasure of watching his rugby journey along with a lot of other talented young men, and I can attest that I have never seen him play a game where he didn't give it his absolute best effort. All the best on your journey Jamie 👊🏾
💯
I was hoping to see more of this young player this season, just so unfortunate. Go well Jamie, enjoyed watching your game.
Me too! However a full season is tough on the young body, have a listen to Norm maxwells episode and it makes you realise we need to look after this young guys to get the most out of them
@@whataladpodcast Will do, thank you
A future legend in the making! Might be a bit early this July for him to make the ABs but his time will come!
💯
Reminds me of a young Norm Maxwell. I wrote for Rugby News for years, and picked a few. And I'm picking this guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he.gets a call up tomorrow but if not next year. I'm maybe leaning towards Darry, but who knows.
Haha yea a young Norm Maxwell is a great comparison! I think you’re bang on!
Future star for sure!
@@jackdarby8904 💯
Good luck for the future Jamie. Also - Jimmy --- I don't know you, it's great you are a humble kiwi rugby head and that, but CMON YOU PEOPLE GIVE THE PODCAST A LIKE & SUBSCRIBE, JEEZ LOUISE ALL THIS RUGBY ROYALTY --- {someone's gotta say it!!} 🏴
Wow. You don't know James Marshall? Or his brother Tom? Both were talented NPC and Super Rugby players.
Haha oh I appreciate that message and the energy! You are a true lad!
@@whataladpodcast haha I'm a bonafide lass tbh
@@jarrettmcgregor1001 Yes, but I meant personally, & said so because I didn't want it to seem like I was "hatching a plot" with him 😇
I put your vids on when Im doing stuff. My broken laptop is hooked up to my TV. I do like Rugby and that, bought up with 3 older brothers, but my favorite part is at the end - the advice from the guest, as it is from the type of person I would take advice from . Actually the only type of person I would take advice from, OMG I've just realised the only type of person I will listen to are All Blacks !! (no joke)
Be great to see and hear from some of the old legends laying low. Like Richard Loe, (no pun) Terry Wright, Taine Randall just to name just a couple. John Gallagher, Bull Allen! heaps more Todd Blackadder John Schuster, Walter Little, they would have a few good bits of advice Im sure haha!
All massive contributors to our country's proud rugby history. You'd be the right guy to host them, well that's me ending with my piece of advice anyway. Thanks again 🏴
He got the hammer this year
one of the greats
🙌
Good intro to the man, hope he doesn't make ABs yet - he will in the future but I think he will be better off as a player and person with another year or two developing skills and game knowledge at NPC and Super level
That’s fair!
Good head on his shoulders that young man
💯
I hope he makes the All Blacks team this year.
I reckon one more season of super, and he'll crack the abs
Future sam whitelock
That would be awesome! I think it might be the end of year tour or next year but he can play!
Was impressive in a less than average Crusaders pack.
Sure was!
