Hello my friend!! About the drivers, I have a question, can I just delete the AMD app rather than going into safe mode and doing in manually with the DDU? Reply back anytime :). Also, this tutorial is absolutely incredible! I must say, I've never seen anyone come closer to providing such an outstanding guide for installing a GPU. The step-by-step instructions were so clear and easy to follow, and the explanations along the way were incredibly helpful. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us! YOU ARE AWESOME!
Thanks bud, the first part of your comment really upsets me, then you go on to state WHY it upsets me. I am sharing my expertise, and my explanations are easy to follow with my step by step instructions for installing a GPU, why is that 1 piece of information less valuable? At 0:39 I explain why it is important, remember, you like the video because of my expertise right, I feel like I give you a great explanation as to why you should do it, the process takes about 35 seconds. That 35 seconds will save you HOURS of diagnosing issues that could have been avoided,... because you want to save that 35 seconds. Maybe this makes it a little easier: ruclips.net/user/shortsqbKrePI6rvM The question upsets me because I get asked it numerous times a day, from those VERY same people that say the video is great.

There is a difference if I inverted the PCI cable? Here at 9:07 u used the pins that are like 4 and 2, combined them and liked to ur 6600, I supposed that the pins attached to the PowerS is not the separable one. Is it wrong to do the opposit of what u did? I attached 2 and 4 pin to the PowerS and the 6 to the 6600 (sorry for the bad english)

no not at all, you would plug in the VGA cable to the video card instead of the motherboard. And don't worry about newbie questions, I am here to help, thats what my channel is for.
@@izumimusic6836 no, it has HDMI or DP, you would use one of those. Now you can have both cards, the onboard and video card work together but it can become a headache. I stated VGA port, because not everyone knows the differences between the ports, and being that your native tongue is not English's (neither is mine) I was leaning more towards the generalization of the port.
Yes and no. AMD favors newer hardware, hardware being motherboard, cpu, video card even down to the HDMI/DP cable. If you have incompatibilities between them, when you install the newer hardware, it can affect your software, and sometimes the solution is to wipe and reload windows. Placing the older video card back in, doesn't fix it,... easily at least. I Highly recommend, before you install the new card, update windows to the max, till there are no updates left, and update your BIOS to the latest version, then after windows is fully updated (which can take 6 or more tries) then follow my advice on this video. Doing what I show you in this video first will help you: ruclips.net/video/8JuC_Dpm6-c/видео.html, after you do that, then follow what I show you in the video we are chatting on here, and you will be better off.

I did install new driver etc but still no luck. Can I do the ddu and everything all while using the new gpu? Thanks
So you've told me the Mech 2x, but I don't know if its the 6600 or the XT, but regardless of that, they are both the same driver anyway, so yes, the process would be the same. I don't know if there are more or less PCIE connection, but you will need to plug each of them directly from the power supply, with no pigtails or anything.
Hey , I did it with out enabling safe mode . Is there going tobe any issue . I did not understand why did like that . Hoping an aswer soon my cuban friend
well yes and no. While you are in regular windows, windows is using those drivers, all drivers, when you are installing these drivers not only are there video drivers but there are audio drivers, panels, panes, framework, registry, etc, that windows is using... windows doesn't work very well with them, so it will continue to use them, not really removing all of them. In safe mode, none of that is used so it gets removed by DDU completely, I don't understand why everyone fights this, everyone, it's like people don't like performance.
I set up everything but do I need that pci-E? Also my model is different and the lock you have I do not so I'm not sure if it's fully in it would help if you have discord so this can be easier I need help badky. Btw I do not have that pci-E cord in my box so idk what to do
Discord is not an option, I do this as a second job, spending time away from my family, friends, house, dogs, etc, it would make life so much more difficult, if I didn't have a day job, that would be an option. The PCIE thing, is power, the card needs power, you need a 500watt power supply. This has helped thousands of people, it can help you, the PCIE card is on your power supply. If you dont have a 500watt power supply thas has this cable, you need a new power supply.
@@ThisBytesForYou So would you recommend me taking it to BestBuy so they will add in the PCI-E cord? Before I bought this card, they said it met the requirements, but I don't have the PCI cord. Am I able to add it myself?
to help you, aside from the other comment I left, you can find on my Amazon Global Affiliate link, a 500Watt that has all the cables you need, under $50: geni.us/V8jUH
I have a 5600xt, so i put My new 6600xt un the second pci-e x16 slot… start the PC with HDMI connected to the 5600, with Windows running i unplugged and plugged un to the 6600 and done. Allá working fine xD
Like I state in the video, it can be done, but you get more performance if you do it the way I show you, but I understand not everyone cares about performance, walla. It's not like you bought a better video card to get performance and new features your old card didn't have... Oh wait... You did?
From your statement (re-read it) you didn't shut down your machine to remove old card, install new card, and cables and turn on the machine and install drivers, let windows install it's own drivers, your machine must be wicked fast and working.

Nice, you will see an improvement, but to see a real improvement, you will need to uninstall your current games and reinstall them,... To see a 100% improvement, a wipe and a reload of the OS. well, that really depends on so many things. 1. What is the ambient temperature in your house 2. Do you have your PC pushed up against the wall, in a cubby, on the floor? 3. Are the front fans exhausting air or blowing in, and how many fans do you have? 4. Are the Top fans exhausting air or blowing in, and how many fans do you have? 5. Are the rear fans exhausting air or blowing in, and how many fans do you have? 6. what motherboard manufacturer and model number do you have, and cpu? 7. Are you overclocked?
good temps, I am at 18.8C but where is your PC, on the desk, on the floor, against the wall in a corner? The rear, is it out on the open, or against the wall? I asked a few questions before, please answer them.
So that I can help, please list the manufacturer and exact model number of the following components: 1. Motherboard - manufacturer and exact model number 2. Monitor - manufacturer and exact model number Redundant I know, but many people forget to enter manufacturer and exact model number 7. Do you have ALL of the PCIE connections plugged in, and not daisy chained or pigtailed, each coming directly from the power supply? 8. Are you running through HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA, any adapters? 9. UEFI in the BIOS from Legacy. If it was set to Legacy, you will need to reinstall windows to get correct support. 10. Disable CSM in the BIOS 11. Installed latest supported chipset driver?

@@r0sido309 1. update your BIOS to the BIOS found here: www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS/support 2. Once you update your BIOS, make sure XMP is enabled, and your BIOS SHOULD be on UEFI not legacy, that will cause issues. 3. You are running through a daisy chain, that will cause an issue, check to see if you have 2 separate cables to plug into your video card, not one, daisy chained. 4. Make sure the HDMI cable is an HDMI 2.1 cable, the cable probably won't say it anywhere 5. After you DDU the drivers, boot back into windows and do windows update. After you restart from windows update, do update again, and keep doing updates till there are no updates left. If windows update asks you to restart, restarts. 6. Yes, I cloned the HDD boot drive as soon as I got the SSD.
OK good, you want to boot off of the SSD, I don't use HDD's anymore, ever, they make too much noise and generate heat.

@@Adrian_Zgripcea the thing is, you may still not see the gain, you will see the biggest gain with a complete reinstall of windows and the drivers on that SSD, mind you, from HDD to SSD was tremendous, but the clean install is huge too, I format a few times a year my workstation to make sure Everything is perfect.
do you still need to plug in the vga cable on motherboard when you plug in the hdmi on the gpu already? (sorry for my bad english) newbie question
no not at all, you would plug in the VGA cable to the video card instead of the motherboard. And don't worry about newbie questions, I am here to help, thats what my channel is for.
@@ThisBytesForYou thank you i was wandering because the rx 6600 xt doesn't have a vga port
Hi, a question. 1: If something goes wrong with the new card can you just place back the old card and have that work?
@@ThisBytesForYou thanks for this but is it a big problem that i dont want to upgrade from windows 10 to 11? Will that be a big problem IF something goes wrong while upgrading to a rx 6600 xt?

Hello. What do I do? My gpu died.. I put my old one in.. works.. I just bought this... and of course I skip watching any videos and just remove my card and put this one in and turn pc on and good to go.. now I can not detect 2nd screen.. I did install new driver etc but still no luck. Can I do the ddu and everything all while using the new gpu? Thanks
Yes
Quick question, is it better to install it on my c drive or is it better on my 1 tb storage. Thanks
What are the manufacturer and model numbers of the drives you are using.
friend if I want to go from an nvidia brand card to another of the same brand, is it necessary to do the whole process? :3
did you watch the video?
What do I do if I have installed my graphics card and am up to date with all the drivers but I am still getting HUGE frame drop and bad fps
are you coming from AMD to NVIDIA or NVIDIA to AMD?
@@ThisBytesForYou same problem , nvidia to amd. any fix?
Wait I don’t have the sapphire on but the mech 2x would I click the 6600 xt or just the 6600 for the dowbload
Don't take it to best buy, they will rip you off, what is the manufacturer and model number of your power supply?
I just checked the watt max which is 460 is there a way to upgrade it aswell?
You have been great, thanks a lot reelly!!!

sir does this gpu actually use x16 pcie slot? but the gpu specs shows that it needs pcie x8?
they are limited to x8, but a x16 slot is a x8 slot as well, electrically it will run at x8 with no problem so it will only use 8 pcie lanes.

AWESOME VIDEO & explanation...i just got this card for 650$ well see if its worth it...im upgrading from 1070 ti
Nice, you will see an improvement, but to see a real improvement, you will need to uninstall your current games and reinstall them,... To see a 100% improvement, a wipe and a reload of the OS. AMD and NVIDIA video don't play nice together sadly, chipset and graphics are fine, but graphics vs graphics not so much. So happy you enjoyed this video my friend, please do let me know if you have any questions or issues, I am always happy to help. Hopefully you become a real subscriber though, not a Random one ;)
Hello, I have returned due to an issue with the power supply I ordered. When I removed my old power supply and put the new one in, I connected all the cables to the right place, like the old power supply. After that, I tried to turn it on, but it blinks orange. How do I fix it? Please help.
What blinks orange?
@@ThisBytesForYou My XPS 8900 power button blinks orange whenever I plug in the power supply and turn it on. It has a delay of like 3 seconds, then continues blinking. I am not sure what it is, but I am sure everything is in the right place.

@@ThisBytesForYou Just the power button which is small if you look up an image of xps 8900 it is on top of the box. The correct name for it is flashing orange like every 3 seconds.
on this ebay post, there is a 4 pin yellow/gray port above and to the left of the cpu socket (4PIn EPS connection), and a 24pin port all the way on the right and center of the motherboard, is your power supply connected to both of those ports?
DO you have your CPU Cooler, connected to the port in the center all the way on the top of the motherboard?

Great news my friend, very happy for you. Have you watched this video yet?
@@ThisBytesForYou yes I have but you used DDU to Unity drives from a Nivida card ten installed AMD drivers. But you used DDU to stop Windows from installing drivers. This will be a new computer build. Should I just disconnect from the internet when installing drivers
I recommend doing it on a fresh install too as Microsoft loads NVIDIA drivers into the build, so this ensures its clean.
So helpfull thank you

I don’t have a igpu so if I full uninstalled my drivers what would happen, I didn’t do all these steps when I installed my 3080ti from 3060 and occasionally I do have glitches like the screen will go black and if I unplug HDMI and plug back in it’s fine for a while

What are the temperatures of this card? Im getting the sapphire pulse 6600xt too
well, that really depends on so many things.
1. What is the ambient temperature in your house
@@ThisBytesForYou i have 2 frontal 140mm and 1 120mm on the back i dont oc and my room temp is around 25
good temps, I am at 18.8C but where is your PC, on the desk, on the floor, against the wall in a corner? The rear, is it out on the open, or against the wall? I asked a few questions before, please answer them.
@@ThisBytesForYou its on my desk there is a ton of space behind it like 2m
then you should see temps between 60 and 70°C, you should be good.
Hey I'm planning on getting a 6600xt. Will it bottleneck with the Ryzen 5 3500?
Nice choice, and no it will not bottleneck the 3500, the processor itself would be the bottleneck but it won't be a huge bottleneck.
I'm thinking of getting this same GPU, but I don't know if it works with my MB A320M-K...
yes it will work, this video will show you how to install it, make sure you have an HDMI 2.1 cable or a DP 1.4 cable to use it.
I have an msi gaming x 6600 xt. Everytime I try to Install the drivers I get a black screen. I tried everything I dont know what to do
So that I can help, please list the manufacturer and exact model number of the following components:
1. Motherboard - manufacturer and exact model number
2. CPU - manufacturer and exact model number
3. RAM - manufacturer and exact model number
4. Video Card - manufacturer and exact model number
5. Power supply - manufacturer and exact model number
6. Monitor - manufacturer and exact model number
Redundant I know, but many people forget to enter manufacturer and exact model number
10. Disable CSM in the BIOS
11. Installed latest supported chipset driver?

7. now i don't know to much about pc specifics, my PCIE connector is 16 pin split into two 8 pin connectors, i assume this is called a pigtail. and yes it is connected directly to the PSU.
8. i am running through HDMI
9. i am running UEFI
10.CSM is disabled
11. i never really knew CPUs needed driver updates, i am currently installing the newest available on the AMD website
@@r0sido309
1. update your BIOS to the BIOS found here: www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS/support
4. Make sure the HDMI cable is an HDMI 2.1 cable, the cable probably won't say it anywhere
5. After you DDU the drivers, boot back into windows and do windows update. After you restart from windows update, do update again, and keep doing updates till there are no updates left. If windows update asks you to restart, restarts.
6. Update your chipset driver: www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b550
7. After you all all of that, reinstall the video driver,: www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-6000-series/amd-radeon-6600-series/amd-radeon-rx-6600-xt
@@ThisBytesForYou i have no idea what HDMi cable is being used, would changing to a display port be okay? also i am having sa hard time updating the bios, do i need to use a flash drive?
Display port is what I use and it always works, it needs to be 1.4 but 1.4 has been around for a while, so chances are it will be 1.4, HDMI 2.1 is newer. Yes, you need a thumb drive to flash the BIOS. To flash the BIOS, it should be similar to what I show you here on this MSI board: ruclips.net/video/AaFkBQaJDW4/видео.html
