Here's what I understand the plot of the MV to be: The girls "kidnap" SHINee and take them to Thailand so they can escape from their idol life for a little while. They try to stay out of the public view while they're there (running out of the convenience store when they see themselves on TV, Jonghyun pushing the camera phone aside). Their company sends the police to look for them (Taemin looking in the car and then everyone running away, the sirens at the end). That's the basics of what I got from watching the video like 15 times. :P

But like Onew he didn't like the girl and stuff...so yea. They went to different places, kind of trashing every place they went to...and a girl messed with minho's "girlfriend" so he got hit with the freakin bottle *idk what the hell that was suppose to be but damn* and then...they like went to this layer and stuff...and then the cops found them. sooo the main theory is: the girls represent fans of SHINee. so they kidnap SHINee to have fun with them..and well.. the members notice that its fun to be outside and take a break so they go along with it. But SHINee is not liking all the things the girls do: taking pictures and being to intimate with them (sexual) On the other hand SHINee (Minho) protect the girls..when he gets hit with the glass - and they just have a good time together. And in the whole video they are dancing in normal clothes (not really stage clothes) in the same room and at the end you can see how they turn around and smile, so they danced in front of the girls/the fans the whole time. So all in all it shows the realtionship between SHINee and Shawols (in symbols of course ^^)

I was really impressed with this song; I'm normally not a big fan of shinee's music because I find it quite child like and heavily synthesised but this was so much better than what they've done before. :D

All these songs are no where near child-like description . u may (i say perhaps ) consider COLORFUL a child-like song , but this is a bubbly song that puts u in a good mood - all K-grps , even GG put out songs like that . don't get me wrong i'm not hating on ur opinion , it's respected . i just was surprised by the description " child-like" coz i don't see anything childish about their music . ***** my 'child like' reference wasn't necessarily a bad thing or referring to the fact that only youngsters may listen to them, it was just referring to the fact that they're songs (in my opinion) have been quite synthesised especially their earlier songs such as 'replay' 'lucifer' and a little too predictable with no real musical colour to them. Some of their songs have a repetitive quality which a lot of k-pop groups do in the beginning which goes hand in hand with the fact that these songs are easy to make, get stuck in your head quickly plus the groups haven't established their group sound yet. I think this is the first album of theirs in my opinion which really establishes them as a real artist which can mach on par with say a billboard hot 100 artist. Ill definitely be supporting in them in their promotions for this album.

This is my theory okay, they were kidnapped by the girls after their concert and they ended up enjoying the time they were spending with the girls because they felt free. They were sick of being treated like idols and wanted to feel normal. Which is why Jonghyun didn't want to get his pictures taken & onew did not want to do anything with the girl after taking him into her room that was filled with their posters. However, since it was fun being with the girls they keep running away from the cops because they don't want to go back to their idol life & they just want to play with the girls. Also, they grow to like the girls so that's why it shows Minho defending the girl. But later on Minho is unsure whether or not he wants to be with the girl since he doesn't know whether she likes him for his real self or his idol self. At the end, it seems that the cops finally finds them and they have to go back.
Some of the comments below are right, but I'd like to add some things. Basically they're being kidnapped but it's for their own good, they do not suffer from stockholm syndrome. You can see the girl putting on the mask AFTER she talks with Minho, they know who the girls are and it's part of the plan to take them out of their idol life for a while. That's also why the cops were chasing them, the girls pretended to kidnap them but the boys did know about everything.They look a bit confused at first, of course, but they get comfortable and start to have fun when they realize the girls are reliable. The girl with Minho in the bathroom was taking care of his wound with her shirt, she took it off in front of the sink, if you pay attention her shirt is in her hand pressing the wound on the back of his head, where the random dude hit with the bottle. The girl with Onew make it obvious that they're all shawols, since the wall is filled with posters. I assume the end with the police finally finding them represents they have to go back afterall. :)

so what i read was that the girls faked the kidnapping bc shinee just wanted a break so they like arranged this 'kidnapping' so people didnt think that they were just slacking off or something but in reality they were just having fun and swimming and stuff w a group of p chill girls (and there were sirens at the end because the cops had been looking for them the whole time bc they thought they were kidnapped and thats what they were like running everywhere) and thats the thing i saw that made the most sense to me bc i was confused when i first saw it too

hello! my theory is, SHINee staged their kidnap with those girls who r most probably ShaWols since they wanted a break from their idol life (the part where the girl whispered something to Minho) so after they came out of one of their schedules and pretended to get kidnapped. at first they were unsure but eventually started to get more at ease with the girls (see they were all wearing blue contact lenses to show they were idols in the first part, then while they having fun with the girls they had no lenses, indicating they were just being themselves and not idols) the boys had a LOT.of fun with the girls, did illegal stuff, lived like there was no tomorrow, just trying to escape their idol life which kinda followed them everywhere (the bit where SHINee was seen on the old tv in the shop, when this randomer was trying to take Jonghyun's picture, where the ppl from the company in that car saw them even though Taemin tried to hide his face then they all ran away) they went into the pub, had crazy fun. Minho got bashed in the head and the girl took the oportunity to get *cough* close to him (and about the Onew and the other girl part: Onew seemed to like her, just wasnt ready to *cough* get that close) (that part of the song was kinda sad-ish, and gave us the feeling that nothing lasts forever) then they break into a dusty werehouse where the boys r completely at ease with the girls. they even dance for them. but then the end of the vid (where the cops come) show that they r found by the cops sent by company and that their fun ended. I kind of saw it as SHINee's long-distance girlfriends (i-fans?) took them away for a vacation and break. And SHINee is running from managers/paparazzi/the public eye but inevitably they will be found and brought back home because Idols are not allowed to party, get drunk, and get it on with girls.
I think they were in Thailand for a fan meeting or something like that and those girls make it seem like a kidnap and just took them away from their busy and exausting lives and jus have fun

Negative- There was nothing wrong with the mv its just it didn't sort of suit their style the way they use to have it which was unique in its own way, this one somewhat has an american vibe to it. Positive- But I really like this song alot simply because it represents the current age shinee are now, they are young adults and I think this mv interprets the current stage shinee is now not as singularities but as a group. And I will keep watching them as they progress.

oh my Goodness dylan where did your mind go to , its like you were into some telenovela drama. its a simple kidnapping from paparazzi idol life style to go have some fun. the reason that kept running and hiding was so as not to get caught (the people in the car, their faces on tv ....) the end with the cops well that part im not certain cos they broke into someones home sooo im guessing cops will come for that, then again they would have been presumed missing so the cops could have also come for that.

hello! my theory is, SHINee staged their kidnap with those girls who r most probably ShaWols since they wanted a break from their idol life (the part where the girl whispered something to Minho) so after they came out of one of their schedules and pretended to get kidnapped. at first they were unsure but eventually started to get more at ease with the girls (see they were all wearing blue contact lenses to show they were idols in the first part, then while they having fun with the girls they had no lenses, indicating they were just being themselves and not idols) the boys had a LOT.of fun with the girls, did illegal stuff, lived like there was no tomorrow, just trying to escape their idol life which kinda followed them everywhere (the bit where SHINee was seen on the old tv in the shop, when this randomer was trying to take Jonghyun's picture, where the ppl from the company in that car saw them even though Taemin tried to hide his face then they all ran away) they went into the pub, had crazy fun. Minho got bashed in the head and the girl took the oportunity to get *cough* close to him (and about the Onew and the other girl part: Onew seemed to like her, just wasnt ready to *cough* get that close) (that part of the song was kinda sad-ish, and gave us the feeling that nothing lasts forever) then they break into a dusty werehouse where the boys r completely at ease with the girls. they even dance for them. but then the end of the vid (where the cops come) show that they r found by the cops sent by company and that their fun ended. BASICALLY they wanted to escape their idol life for a while. they had a lot of fun. but in the end, the good times came to an end, just like they always do. i hope nonsensical stuff i wrote trying to describe my theory could actually b understood xD sorry for the lack of organization of ideas there. hope u have a good day and i hope u continue to enjoy SHINee's music and support SHINee. thank you ^_^

I kind of saw it as SHINee's long-distance girlfriends (i-fans?) took them away for a vacation and break. And SHINee is running from managers/paparazzi/the public eye but inevitably they will be found and brought back home because Idols are not allowed to party, get drunk, and get it on with girls.

Negative- There was nothing wrong with the mv its just it didn't sort of suit their style the way they use to have it which was unique in its own way, this one somewhat has an american vibe to it.
Positive- But I really like this song alot simply because it represents the current age shinee are now, they are young adults and I think this mv interprets the current stage shinee is now not as singularities but as a group. And I will keep watching them as they progress.

its a simple kidnapping from paparazzi idol life style to go have some fun.
the reason that kept running and hiding was so as not to get caught (the people in the car, their faces on tv ....)
the end with the cops well that part im not certain cos they broke into someones home sooo im guessing cops will come for that, then again they would have been presumed missing so the cops could have also come for that.
