My Mothers most loved person was her majesty Queen Elizabeth. It took me 50 years to understand why. She set an example to the world and the world loved her automatically .. because that oath she took all those decades ago was sincere from heart 🙏💛🙏
Her majesty was, as you know, a regnant queen, which was, imo, why she became so beloved.

"Her whole life shall be devoted to your service" is another way of saying that she wants her servants to be devoted to her for her whole life... gotta love english.
Still don't understand? It's because 'your service' is ambiguous as to who it is referring to. In fact, it's the same exact line from The Twilight Zone episode 'to serve man'.

At the King’s Coronation, he said “I have come to serve, not be served.” This shows the role of monarch is of service, not luxury and being served.
I don't see what's so wrong with asking how dark the baby will be. The royal family is a white family. It's a normal question to ask
