A Weekend of Illinois Trains

In September of 2023, I visited Illinois to see a friend and family along with checking out universities. Here is some train action I caught while I was in Illinois. Enjoy!

I remember my Grandparents tsking me to the Union railway museum as a little kid in the late 1970's. I still have the striped engineers cap they bought for me at the gift shop.

I'm hoping to visit irm myself sometime next year possibly as my family has been discussing on Chicago for our next family summer trip. Not sure if it'll happen but I'll dying to visit irm and see 1630, aka my favorite decapod.

I like steam locomotives too. But why do we see more steam locomotives than diesels/electrics in film/other media?
