      I agree re their style of filming and not needing to "entertain" us with constant comments, etc. Find it very relaxing. Appreciate their "team" work on both of them working side by side and both sweating to get the jobs done on the property.

    What you both done and keep doing, seams like a job for a team of 20 people at least. Many jobs around this project you have never done before and look at the results 😮. You are Amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey and hard work. ❤❤❤

      Well that's what happens when you punch above your weight. They'll do all this and after 2 years put it on the market because maintenance is just not logical

    • @hollywilson5695
      @hollywilson5695 2 месяца назад +1

      @@edgarmwanguhya Did you watch all the episodes from the beginning? Did you see this couple spend most of the first summer digging a long trench for plumbing? How about the concrete feed trough that they chipped away at with a sledgehammer and small jackhammer, week after week, hauling away the bits and pieces in a small wheelbarrow? When their overworked wheelbarrow’s tire blew, did you notice they did not buy a new wheelbarrow but replaced the tire? How about the pipes that were pulled from the barn, cut into stackable lengths, and later used to build an industrial strength shelving unit for lumber storage? Did you see the episode where these two carried a giant stone to the edge of a meadow area by the house, just so they could sit and admire the beauty of the valley throughout the seasons? How about the persistence they demonstrated by collecting random pieces of wood from all over the property? They sorted and stacked this wood and later used pieces for a variety of projects, including rebuilding a beautiful wooden door. This couple had shown patience, determination, and creativity. They are not intimidated by hard work. They are not going to tire and walk away after two years as you suggest!

    BUTttttt. I’m a concrete guy. Tons of experience with wet and dry concrete materials.
    Please look into silicosis poisoning.
    It comes from breathing in the particulates of silica or concrete dust.
    Maybe a mask would be helpful when cleaning or breaking any mortar, grout or concrete.

    The ecosystem at your Italian farm is truly a pleasure for those of us living in suburbia. The views, the meadows, the flowers, the fruit, the LIFE buzzing and chirping and whirring...and Velluto of course for a bit of WILD. Those windows will be welcome when cool then cold weather returns. Excellent work in readying the window openings. I love watching the building emerge from the brambles and weeds and to see the trees in all their glory--still leaving habitat for all the creatures humans NEED for our survival. Thank you so much.

    Every time I watch a film I feel like it only lasted a few minutes, it's so great to see the mountains, the meadows, the flowers, the insects, there's always an unsatisfied feeling. The windows in the workshop will be a great plus, when cold days come it is difficult to work longer in the cold, and the windows always stop the cold coming in. Double glazing in the house will certainly make a big difference and it is very good that the frames can be retained and for aesthetic and financial reasons. Velluto is so beautiful, those wonderful eyes and how calmly he takes them from Bertus' hand. My warmest greetings to you, have a great week and look forward to seeing you again.🐈‍⬛🍀

Im always impressed with bakers who don't necessarily use recipes - or perhaps you know them from using them! I look forward to your films every week. It's a gorgeous place you've settled. You bring such a sense of order and the peace that comes with it. You found chaos and mess; already intelligence and logic are imposed upon your sphere!
    My late mother-and her mother-and her mother-would have so much enjoyed these videos. My mother was half Scotch-Irish, half German. Her female ancestors were all German. I have more Scotch-Irish and German on my father’s side. Somehow I’m the messy one, but I was taught better. My challenge is going through all the stuff that I inherited and curating it down into what fits in our townhome! Watching you deal with a much bigger mess systematically gives me inspiration and hope that little upon little ultimately accomplishes much. Thank you!

    While listening to your ideas about possible changes to your home, I find myself imagining changes myself: wouldn't it be lovely to make that garage a pass-through again? Do you have enough stones to craft a set of wide stone steps leading from it into the back yard? That might be a nice gathering place during rainy weather, and a nice divide between your home and your guests' rooms.
    You mentioned placing an outdoor shower/toilet in the area behind your new workshop. When I look at that spot, I think of its views! It's one of the few places on the back of the house that the warehouses don't block views of the mountains, and it's YOUR view, when it's your home. I'd think a lovely terrace back there with a balcony over top.
    Just my thoughts! I'm so enjoying all you do, and the videos are so well-made. Thank you!
