My father was an abusive and an alcoholic... He used to be very physically... aggressive with my Mum and she would tremble and shake with fear whenever she saw him... It was horrifying to witness as a 3 year old.
After a couple more years my maternal side of the family had enough of his abuse and they had to take me and my Mum away from my father because my Mum was too physically weak to do anything.
She filed for a divorce and pressed charges against him... Atleast we are safe now....

I wish I had someone like you at the time I needed it. I had anxiety and I would harm myself but when my parents found out they would yell at me and threaten me. They got me a counselor and I would refuse her. I won’t be detailed, I know they just didn’t know how to handle it… but I wish they handled it like you. Thank you for this audio❤
I had a similar situation, I still have counseling but I avoid it as much as I can, and i had to go to MHRC which is a mental hospital, I was there for four days. Ngl it was kinda fun cuz we got to go outside and do stuff. But they were strict at the same time. I'm so sorry for what you've been through. I wish you well💛

I once saw my biological father at my big sister's wedding after years. He didn't even ask if he could hug me when he saw me, he just went right ahead, and did it anyways. I felt so uncomfortable, he knew what hell i went through, he knows i hate physical touch through other past trauma, but he doesn't care about my feelings. I ended the hug quickly when he started to freaking cry! Uh uh! No way in hell was he gonna pull out that card, no! He doesn't bother to even send birthday cards, or even a phone call to see how I'm doing. Nothing. And you know what? I'm fine with that. I'm actually happy without him in my life. I have a new step dad who treats me right, treats my mom right, and treat my siblings right when they come to visit. I don't see a lot of the Campbell's especially in my papa's side of the family, I'm sorry to use this kind of language, but a lot of them are scum bags there's a few who aren't, but if you met them tho, you'd definitely agree with me. They're horrible, and pretty mean, and they are very manipulative. I know i have the last name Campbell, but I'm actually gonna change it soon. That's how much i hate it due to a lot of past truama, and dramatic family history in my family. I am so happy i didn't end up like any other of the Campbell's in my family. Even my siblings and mom changed their last names when they got married so they wouldn't have to be attached to that last name any longer, and i don't blame them. I can't wait till the day i can too. Sorry this was long, i just needed to vent. This is pretty much therapy for me, and helps out in a way. my dad was mentally abusive and has forever fucked up my mind and my families life. hes tried to kidnap us so yeah thank you, if anyone stood up to my dad i would be so fucking scared, i would want them to be fully armed ready to fight, hes so unpredictable its terrifying.

This hits hard, harder than anything, because it's almost my exact life. My mother divorced my father when i was 8 months old, and he almost never showed up for visitations, although my mother never remarried, my father's ex-bestfriend, who i grew up calling uncle was always there for me no matter what even though he and his family lives 2 hours away from me. My father is a dead beat, no good narcissist. Who texted me that he missed me and after i said if he wanted to see me he has to contact my mother and in text to me his exact response was "i will not talk to that c**t" i have now blocked him. I don’t know who will walk me down the aisle when i get married. I know for a fact that i will never have a father daughter dance because i don't have a father. As a kid, i wished i did have a father because i always felt alone and out of place like i was a mistake. I thought i was a mistake because thats what my own father saw me as.
