That's not true ! I'm part of this program and their father is involved in their lives it's for mothers who do not meet any programs or need further fianical assistance and it's private funded not from the government. This program has helped me tremendously to survive here at NYC and I make just 48k which is nothing in NYC and I pay everything myself. sooo I don't see how this is systematic racism or how we dont need fathers ? My kids are with their dad because daycare is insane ! While i work full time !!!!. I can't apply to any support because the government considered i make to much to meet anything so this is super needed for families trying to survive and make it out. I work In soical services helping vulnerable populations giving back to communities so I'm not just here trying to collect a dollar doing nothing. I'm a hard working mother who appreciate this relief and I am happy people want to spend their own money to help mothers like me. You can't make more then like 55kish to be part of this program and it's a lottery so I don't get why make a comment like this without researching.

I have kids and I can afford it perfectly fine without any assistance. However this assistance is a nice added bonus for me and any mother in the program. I went to college. I'm getting my master and because of this program I will be able to finish my master ! Why doesn't no talk about how crazy expensive it is to live in NYC where there's no rent regulation. You can 1 lease pay 1800 the next lease pay 3000 like stop It. It has nothing to do with affordability it has to do with women with children are a vulnerable population that barely gets any support from anyone !! United States is one of the only advanced countries who doesn't even have paid leave ! When I took maternity I had to get only portion and I took that sacrifice to bond with my child and this program helped me during those times. So no cut it out. Let's be real life is expensive weather you make 48k or even 100k. You know how much taxes NYC takes out of a paycheck ???? Like come on. It's really not this simple. Lol

Thier are many people in society that could benefit from such a program. Especially our Seniors. We really need to focus on the family unit all of these children have fathers why aren't they exspected to assist financially toward the daily needs of thier own children. Programs like this won't last forever I get it especially with the cost of just feeding your children but history has showed in the end these programs just make families more dependent on the Government which doesn't help families to movd up in society. Thats the way the Government controls masses of people so much so that they become fearful and remain in the exact situation as thier passed generations leading them back into poverty. Money can't solve society's problems. Education is the only way out of poverty. I'm all for giving 1000 a month towards education I wonder if these mothers are working Moms. I will have to ask my sister who has been working 2 jobs so her child has a better life and find out if she is eligible odds are not.
