As a white Hispanic myself (I’m Mexican and Spanish, but significantly more Spanish/other European than I am indigenous), that’s definitely a privilege most of us have. That being said, I can recognize that I’ve probably had a significantly easier time navigating society being a “white” person than a more Indigenous Latin American/Hispanic person has. With her though, you just know that her race depends on who she’s with. If she’s with other white Conservatives, she’s white but in a situation like this she wants to claim the minority label.

I LOVE this channel! Im very interested in seeing peoples views from both sides of the spectrum and getting a chance to see everyones perspectives on many different topics. I encourage everyone to watch this channel because I feel it can help people have a more informed opinion on politics and social topics. I also really appreciate the added sources that are presented for subjects that are brought up in conversation. My only criticism is that very often with the prompts I would find myself very conflicted on whether to agree or disagree based on how they are worded due to them being too much of a blanket statement.

That's the most Republican answer of the entire video. The idea that poor people are lazy or choose to be poor. It might be a single parent household. There might be outstanding medical bills or the parents might have drug problems. Republicans will force a teenage girl to have her baby and then tell her to get a job when she asks for assistance in raising it.
We definitely need more stuff like this out there. Something that can help connect such a divided country.

Exactly, like thats the type of crap ppl dont get. Like we're not saying bad things dont happen to you, just that they dont happen to you bc of something about yourself that you cant change (race, sexuality etc. ) And it just made me so frustrated with the republicans bc while what happened to most of them was bad, they dont understand that just bc 1 bad thing happens to you by a minority doesnt mean all minorities are bad or like that or that only minoritys do that. Like that guy and his sexually assaulted sister. Its terrible she has to deal with that but just bc in her case it has to do with illegal immigrants, doesnt mean its ONLY illegal immigrants that do that nor that all illegal immigrants are like that. Its like he was blaming illegal immigrantion as a whole for what happened to his sister instead of the individual people who did it. They group abunch of ppl together based on that one experience (if they even have that) and base their entire beleifs around it. Also most of the bad things they experienced, they dont realize that minorities experience it at least twice as often for reasons they cant change. Its like instead of someone spitting on you once bc you choose to be a trump supporter, they spit on you every other day bc youre physically different from them and couldnt change if you wanted to.
