Hi James, I understand that this video is very long ago and i don't know if you'd reply to comments but have you tried using the Topaz Denoise AI tool for your bird shots? I have tried my friend's one and it was actually rly good to save the noise from high ISO (im using a crop sensor so pushing to 1600 is already "bad" per se but 3200 is true killer for image quality). However sometimes it also introduces some weird artifact distortions so it isn't exactly foolproof per se.

Hello, thanks for viewing my video clip and yes I still do reply to comments to my older videos if I am aware or notified of one. Yes, I do know of Topaz and its family of enhancement apps including Denoise which I used long ago but now that most of all the same features are already in the current or latest Photoshop CC that are now all geared towards Ai renderings so I don't use outside 3rd party apps any longer. But being a birder rather than a bird photographer, I am not too concerned with getting the perfect bird photos. What's the difference between a Birder and a Bird Photographer? Perhaps you like to see my explanation from my view of this at my other video at this link:- ruclips.net/video/Jq-vV2MIzRI/видео.html Watch from 14:09 onwards. Thanks again for your comment.

Hi James. I am interested to listen birds singing, for hours. Is there a place you know of that I can record these without any interruption of civilization noise? No cars, nothing but the birds' singing? Thank you in advance!

Not likely anywhere in Singapore. Try Panti Reserves at Johor.

@@JamesTann Ah that's sad. Thank you so much for the reply, James! Brilliant video! I'm going on a walk from Faber to Kent Ridge later. Will keep a lookout for the RBBM =D

Hi James, lovely video, do you have any idea of the background call between 3:35 to 3:50 in your video

I believe it was a Barbet. There are many Lineated and Coppersmith barbets found there.

I saw one in June, Seletar Hills. I asked my wife if it was a blue jay in Singapore 🤔 beautiful bird. The little finches were very active, but now we haven’t seen any in two weeks. Why is that?

From the Alexandra Arch, walk along the metal skybridge/walkway till you get to a right junction with a pier heading out. It's about 300m from the start of your walk. Walk to the end of the pier on the skybridge.
