She is an amazing woman, bringing us closer to freedom.Showing women that's it's okay to break the barriers and go beyond. The Queen
Very true
Absolutely! She's a true inspiration.
New to this space, I am loving the conversation.
There is a new bill released sometime on 4th August called the Marriage (Amendment) Bill 2023.
This bill comes to introduce divorce by mutual consent or agreement.
It aims to remove the blame game and fault based nature of divorce in Kenya.
Time to champion for this bill to assented into law.
The Marriage (Amendment) Bill 2023 is a big development. It would definitely streamline the divorce process and reduce unnecessary conflict.
Feeling represented, thank you so much for your openness..."Its not what you call me,its what I answer to" what a powerful phrase
Most welcome

Jagero's conversations are easy and flowing. I love how an interviewee ends up being the lead but always on topic. I love it. Amakove, the doctor, I love this woman. So eloquent, and got such an infectious laughter. Personally, I love your view on Kenyans, relationships, social injustices and to top it up, SYS series. This was nice.
Amakove is definitely a gem, glad you enjoyed the SYS series too.
Strong woman!!proud of you gal...emotional abuse is worse than physical abuse...you speak for many women especially in our African setting.
Thank you so much! Your support truly means a lot. Emotional abuse can be very difficult to deal with, and I'm glad her message resonated with you. #StrongerTogether
Wow, such an intellectual conversation.I love how you guys argue out especially on the visa issue and learning so much as an IR student.
You're welcome!
Its only that in kenya nepotism, tribalism and corruption is the order of the day. However, this Lady genuinely deserves to be an Ambassador.
You're right, Kenya has work to do. But let's not overshadow Dr. Wala's well-deserved accomplishment. What are her qualities that make her a great choice?
An alfa man is intentional and never intimidated by independent thinking or the so-called career women. They recognise and respect these calibre of women too.
Intentionality 🙏
I love everything about this lady. Very knowledgeable. I bumped into this channel and am already trapped here🎉❤
So glad you found the channel! Welcome to the DWJ community

So glad you're here! Doctor Amakove is pretty awesome, right?
I love the way the woman talks about it. I know of women going through this and it's true but nobody cares when it's a woman
That's why we have a conversation about it at DWJ
Being whole as yourself is something we all should embrace, so that we don’t give power to people to control us
Embracing who you are is the key to feeling confident and authentic. When we project that strength, it becomes much harder for others to control us. #BeYou
I recently discovered your channel and i love it. Keep up the good and enlightening conversations going. All the way from South Africa 🇿🇦

I am a new subscriber, I am here to listen to Doc Amakove. She is one woman I respect she has helped us in speaking up about the US embassy and how hard things are.
So our case( by our I mean a group of over 500 families) is different. We are all married to US Citizens and have initiated the process of filling for a visa to join our partners in the US and let me tell you Maina we are being frustrated. We are having to wait for 16months plus just to get an interview date. The process is a little diff from the other visas, we don't get to choose a date from the calendar like other visa category applicants, we have to wait for the embassy to send us an interview slot and it's been a long unnecessary wait that they are attributing to the rona pandemic. The visa we have all applied for is called the CR1/ IR1 1 visa it's a spousal visa.
Hi there,
Welcome to the channel! Doc Amakove is fantastic, and we're glad you're here.
The wait times for CR1/IR1 visas can be incredibly frustrating, especially with large groups. The pandemic has definitely caused delays, but 16+ months is a long time.
I loved the conversation! Very informative and i enjoyed the parts you made Jagero blush and laugh😂😂😂
Thanks for watching

SOME OF US HAVE BEEN REUFUSED VISA 3 TIMES AT THE US EMBASSY. WITHOUT BEING TOLD THR REASON AS TO WHY IT WAS DENIED
I feel you ❤
Embassy visa decisions can be frustrating because they often don't provide specific reasons for denial.
Sexcapade 💞💃🏽! It's a new one to me!
Now you know
Very inspiring 👍
Glad you think so
From TikTok to here
Welcome to the fam
I love her
She is a darling. Thanks for watching
You can now (2023) agree to divorce in Kenya
Yes
Asante
Karibu sana
We African should not have to have a visa to travel to other African states or what you choose to call countries. The Europeans came and decided us and we accept and pressuring our own brother while them, they are travailing without visa
Free movement across Africa would be incredible. There's so much we could achieve together. Hopefully, with more collaboration between African nations, we'll see progress towards that goal.
The Kenyan government needs western world than they need Kenya! It’s poverty that’s making this restriction more difficult. As long as unemployment is over 100% in Kenya there is no way Kenyans can have visa on arrival in Europe. So if we want to be treated badly Kenya has to improve its economy so that people don’t run away to this countries. African citizens have been treated so badly that why should outsiders treat you right?
It's true that economic development is a key factor in visa restrictions. Kenya has made strides in recent years, but there's definitely more work to be done.
😊
Thanks
Great interview only thing is thank God for "western religion" because it's unkind to expect a human sacrifice to save anothers marriage what if said husbands' relative is in love and happy but is now expected to self sacrifice lol. Yes let's carry our own crosses. Otherwise an eye opener indeed!!!!
Thanks for your comment! The concept of sacrifice can be interpreted in many ways.
Men are so mean.
Using 'some' is actually a better idea. Thank you.
Generalizations might not be cool after all
Are this guys flating or interviewing each other.😂
Surely 😂
Jagero......WOMEN ÀRE DENIED SEX IN MARRIAGE. it's rampant. Not married but I hear alot of it. Whuuueeeehhhhh
True
Let's hope that's not true in all marriages. It is unsettling
The interviewer talks too much.
It's called directing the conversation. This isn't an interview but a dialogue!
Yes way too much
Too much about himself. I was here and there. I was here. I went there.. boo.
For fucks sake it is a dialogue..not an interview
True
I disagree with her about the African social traditional setup, there was no homosexuality in traditional African society. Sex for fun? The conversation was great until after 1hr, she leaves a lot of gaps, Her ex-husbands need to be brought into this dialogue.
There's definitely room for more discussion on this topic. African traditions around sexuality are complex and have evolved over time.
Why are you interested with her ex?
How I wish I get to find you and we talk
Send me message about the ideas you have
These two they have a chemistry for each other
They do!
