It was never used in the movies because dark implies that there is light (it’s completely meaningless with it), but also because the Jedi serve the will of the Force, which sometimes means doing bad things like maiming and killing, while also trying to keep even your positive emotions from clouding your judgement. In that sense, Jedi aren’t strictly what we would call lightsiders, they just avoid the path to the Darkside.
He has reached his full potential. This is something I wanted to see in a long time.

Anakin's conception was the Force striking back against Plagueis and Sidious when they shifted the Force towards the dark. Plagueis knew this when he said "Have I undone us?"

That’s not exactly what happened. Their aim to shift and corrupt the force to aid the sith was successful and without repercussion. It was when Plagueis tried to artificially create life with the dark side that the force reacted and created anakin to defeat them.

I hear either two responses from older fans about Dave Filoni’s Ahsoka series. One side says it’s too unrealistic / childish, then another side says it gives them the feelings they had watching OT / Prequels Star Wars.

I really love that, in canon, Anakin has now had a post-Vader positive influence on a current character while having the classic Episode III appearance!
It really shows that the real Anakin outlived Vader's grip.
He always was the most powerful with a higher midichlorian count than anybody. It was brilliant seeing him again in ahsoka.
He always had the potential to be the most powerful but he didn’t reach that potential while he was alive. As a jedi yoda and mace were more powerful and that was by the time of ROTS. As Vader palpatine was the only one more powerful than him by the time of Rotj. He could’ve surpassed palpatine but in new canon he didn’t because of his inner conflict but in old canon and legends canon he didn’t because of the injuries he acquired on mustafar
Anakin had the potential as measured by Midi-chlorian counts. But he received the same training curve as any other Jedi. And his effective power was capped at 20% less than Palpatine’s after his injuries on Mustafar and being imprisoned in the suit instead of allowing him full medical treatment and the time to heal. So he never realized even half of his potential in life.
By Return of the Jedi, Luke (who was born with the same potential) was more powerful than him. Who under Lucas canon, would’ve gone on to be the most power living Force user in history, reaching very nearly the full potential of the Chosen One.
After death, we still have to official explanation or idea about Anakin’s status or powers and abilities or anything about him other than that he became a Force Ghost.

when he briefly merged light and the dark within him and used it to defeat dooku in his "zonakin" state ,
another powerful moment was when he managed to throw the emperor down the shaft to save luke
because he again used all his emotions (love and hate) at once .
while anakin is using both the light and the dark to his full advantage nobody can beat him .

I like this show because now Anakin is 100% the chosen one. He can tap into both the light and the dark and switch between the two like it's nothing. He is at his full potential, his absolute prime. He is truly The Father.
I enjoyed every time you called him 'Master Anakin'. However, for me, this Anakin is beyond Jedi, Sith, Light, or Dark sides. He isn't a Jedi, Sith, or even a Mortis god. He no longer needs the titles of Darth, Master, or Grandmaster; they are meaningless to him. The only title greater than all others is 'The Chosen One,' which he possesses. He is all-powerful. I used to think that Legends Luke Skywalker is roughly 80% of what Full-Potential Anakin is, but now I would say that even he is too weak, compared to this Anakin. It is said that in Full-Potential, Anakin is twice as powerful as the Emperor, but I believe he surpasses even beings like Abeloth and the Ones. Ultimately, for me, only the Force itself is more powerful than Anakin. I love this character, and this is my opinion. What do you think about it?

I really hope we get to see Anakin interact with his son Luke, or in the darkest hour when Luke is confronted with an evil higher being or against imposable odds his father Anakin arrives to fight by his side.

You know had the sequels been directed by Dave Filoni about a disturbance in the cosmic force by Palpatine coming back and having Master Anakin confront him in the world between worlds while Kylo and Rey just stopped the army trying to bring back palpatine would have been one sick movie.

In the deleted scene of the Mortis Arc, Revan says "He who controls Skywalker he who controls everything" to the Son. That's why The Son wanted to leave with Anakin.
The scene was deleted because Revan and Bane as force ghost didn't make sense but it was written directly by Filoni and Lucas so the idea stands, Anakin is the literal god of SW.
Anakin has ALWAYS been my favorite character. He has the classic Greek tragedy hero arc, and it's nice to see Hayden back. I have to watch vicariously through you and SWT, since I've been done with Disney for years now. Great take man!
This is him in his prime top of the line. THE CHOSEN ONE mastering and utilizing all 5 techniques. He was literally not even trying , it was more about the lesson than the win for him.
I was talking with customers at my shop about Anakin's power level in the Force at the time of the Ahsoka series, and IMO he's now The Father, plus even more. I'm not sure he even has real limits, and the only beings close to being in his class are The Wills and perhaps Abeloth.
Palpatine literally "somehow" came back from the dead so he's stronger. He also got whooped by Rey so she's stronger

I feel like Anakin has become more enlightened in death. Maybe not more powerful. He always had this power but it was hidden from him due to his shortsightedness. If he had Qui-Gon as a teacher, maybe he'd have mastered both the light and dark and delivered the galaxy from turmoil. But Sidious was strong enough to throw off the will of the Force and thus we have the story that we do--minus the sequel trilogy.

@@TerryKashatNah Qui Gon fucked up, it was Qui Gons will that made Obi Wan into his Master, if not for Qui Gon, they would have appointed Mace Windu as his master, who would have definitely showed Anakin both the light and the dark side, taking away the one thing Sidious had to tempt him.
I like to think enlightenment comes with power as well, specially in anakin's case, the more in tune you are with your true self the more powerful you are, and in anakin's case, being a direct creation of the force, well, true potential means he's literally awakened as the embodiment of the force, so, he's invincible now.

Disney now have a great opportunity to tell some amazing new Anakin stories.
Just want to see Anakin using his lightsaber as much as possible, his Perfect Form V is exciting to watch insanely overpowered, felt like he let Ashoka win
He definitely wasn't even really trying, putting enough in to push Ahsoka but compared to what we've seen he's capable of (as Anakin, freshly fallen Vader and armoured Vader) he wasn't even warming up.

This version of Anakin not being a Force Ghost is actually better because he can actually actively help those he cares about (just as he always wanted to do before his fall to the Dark Side). The only thing missing is Ahsoka calling Anakin "Skyguy" if we get that, then I'll be happy.

Forget about Rey: we should’ve had Anakin assume a physical form to defeat Palpatine at the end of episode 9; would’ve been a much cooler ending to have Sidious defeated in such a way after he thought he had found the route to immortality lol

Anakin's newfound power kinda brings up question I asked a little while back. The World Between Worlds is a place that exists in a place outside the natural flow of time and can allow free movement through it for those able to gain entry. If Anakin has indeed been made the guardian of WBW, that would mean that he can at the very least see across all of time. This makes me wonder if perhaps he manipulated some events to ensure the balance of the Force was maintained.

Anakin is a force being that could probably manipulate matter to resurrect himself into the corporal world if he wanted to but doesn’t because he no longer has a need to.
He wouldn't exactly be welcomed by the galaxy at large in that form. Anakin likely knows that he would do more harm than good if he suddenly reappeared. The bumbling New Republic would want to put him on trial and the remnants of the Empire would try and suck up to him, thinking he's there to take up Palpatine's mantle.

Yes, life and death are insignificant really next to the power of the force. It permeates both, and is of neither. The force, like Anakin now, exists outside of such constraints. It is a higher dimension, a higher level of being really.

Honestly I really did just miss Anakin/Darth Vader, and did indeed feel that his story was a bit incomplete. I'm glad we finally got some canonical closure with him.
Loved the episode! It's amazing seeing a fully matured Anakin with his ROTS appearance... he's the real Anakin with the perfect light/dark side balance and in an enlightened spiritual form. Himself minus the attachments the brought his suffering (e.g. Padme and domination).
This is full potential Anakin. He's the guardian,keeper of the universe. Ahsoka needed to live. She needed to feel purpose,love,compassion again. Anakin is absolutely the most powerful being in Star Wars. May the Foirce be with you too :)
Two things, 1) Anakin was always the most powerful being in Star Wars canonically, 2) Anakin is canonically one of the force Gods like the Priestesses, the Mortis Gods, Bendu, etc. he was always amongst them, he was just newer if that makes sense.
Anakin had the highest confirmed midichlorian count in the story, but that isn't nearly the same thing as him being the most powerful character. The most powerful version of Anakin AS A LIVING PERSON was on ROTS. Yoda and Sidious were both > Anakin at this point, and Anakin lost to Obi-Wan.

I always believed a higher being is able to manifest itself into our plane of existence and live like us but originally is not of us. I like to think this falls in with anakin. He was born of the force and returns to the force with consciousness and experience of our world so in my eyes it makes sense why and how he is

I always connected with Darth Vader and Anakin. He's someone who lost and lost again. Sometimes by his own mistakes and by others. He went down a dark path fuelled by fear of losing people he loved and ended up losing them because of it. He then lives his depressing life always reminiscing over his past again digging him a larger grave of depression and sorrow. I feel like you can take Anakin finally creating a balance between the force (Vader = Dark Anakin = Light) as a literal example of how to deal with your thoughts. You may have bad thoughts similar to Vader and also good days similar to Anakin and its finding a balance between the two allowing for proper peace knowing they both exist but not straying too far away from either one.

It's telling when you look at this vs almost any other fight he had once he came into his own much less became Vader (apart from maybe when he was playing kid's gloves with/testing Luke) that here he's not even trying and yet he easily pushes Ahsoka to her limits.

IDK if its been mentioned in comments or in the video (still watching as I type this) but I like how his flashes of Vader coming through, is an idea that was scrapped for Episode 7 (or was it 8?) Originally, force ghost Anakin was gonna make an appearance, and it was gonna phase between Vader and Anakin. Showing both of his personas still lived in this state.
Seems this ran with that idea.

So if anakin has now become 1 of the gods, then he obviously has responsibilities and helping ashoka is clearly 1 of them. In other words, anakin has a job. I want to know how he lives outside of "working hours", in between godly responsibilities. I'd like to know how he lives in his "own time". Particularly, i'd like to know if he is back with Padme or not. Otherwise, it makes his story even more tragic if he STILL can't even get back with her!
Maybe he doesn’t even want to back with her. I’d like to think being in the state he is now he accept that everything he went through (including loosing Padme) was all necessary for him to fulfill his prophecy.

I just think it's unlikely if u go by the nature of the characters personalities, e.g. obi wan Kenobi would fit that description perfectly but the odds are against anakin fitting that description so I would fully expect some kind of spiritual reunion with Padme since that's what he has wanted the most for the vast majority of his life, he wanted it so bad, he chose the darkside to get it

If I had to guess HOW he got this power it has to be the fact he was born if the literal force, so when he “died” his cosmic side was kinda reabsorbed into the force itself making him a god like now 🤔
He formed an identity as Anakin/Vader but probably felt he was returning home in a sense far truer than most upon death. Immaculate conception and all. He might not have even technically needed "help" to become a ghost.

I have a theory about this. I suspect that the world between worlds is where certain Jedi go after they die. After all, it is a place where every time and space can be accessed from. They just exist there and when they move to affect the outer world, that's when we see them with the ethereal blue glow. So I suspect that Yoda, Luke, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are all there somewhere too among others.
I am not awfully fond of the idea of a being that was created by the Force to balance itself being just another Jedi Force ghost in death.
But, I'm a realist, and this is probably what Disney is going to make of Anakin, regardless of all else. Got to make sure Rey Palp... I mean Skywalker stays the Chosen One.

You referring to Anakin as "Master Skywalker" has introduced an entirely new concept to my head, one that challenges all of the memes. Mace Windu had no authority over whether Anakin was a master or not, only the force. If Windu still exists as an individual in the cosmic force at this point, there would be no doubt in his acknowledgement of Anakin as "Master Skywalker".
I love this too and always felt the council were out of place using Master as a rank but it relates to real life for me. From Masons to the Royal Family giving themselves names like Grand Master of the British Empire I have always thought of Mastery as a transcendence of the typical hierarchy we have in human societies. It’s quite deep and the idea of Anakin truly Mastering the Force on a level the Jedi or Sith couldn’t even comprehend is definitely an idea that could resurrect Star Wars for me! I want to see Him fight Abeloth maybe use some White Force Lightning make it all biblical and shit. I don't know if it was me but I saw some very similar lightsaber moves between baylin and anakin watch the dual with ashoka and baylin he seems to push ashoka back when they where in blade lock similar to anakin when they blade locked he pushed her back with the saber so it possible anakin used the same style as baylin to prepare ashoka for the showdown with baylin and shin

Anakin was not controlling reality. He and Ahsoka were going through specific memories that _she_ recalled. Anakin was there to help her make sense of why she thought of those 2 battles. As awesome as those scenes were, ppl are making way too much of it by claiming Anakin achieved some new lvl of power. He's been dead by those point, and dead ppl can't grow more powerful while they're dead.

In the comic series following revenge of the sith, darth vader with the use of the mask of momin, he actually managed to open the door to the dark side in Mustafar which he met padme as anakin but later was forced out. He then destroyed the gate and never tried it again
