The backlight is actually better on the Skmei than the G-Shock plus the Skmei also has the larger capacity CR2025 battery versus the CR 2016 on the Casio.
There are some advantages to it, hard to tell on battery life right now will have to see. The larger cell might last longer, depends how efficient the electronics are.
@@etow8034 Have to see how it holds up, it's not bad for the price but I don't like the negative display much! I'll try the normal one some time in the future
It costs less then that the cheapest Casio isn't that nice really kind of flimsy, this is OK just get the normal version if you want to be able to see it!
@@rockygabriel7096 Yes, the buttons on my Skmei are also rusty, but only on the wrist side, possibly due to sweat, I wore them while working on a construction site in the summer.
Most negative displays are pos - even Casios - The display on regular version is ok- maybe digits aren’t as bold as the Casio but all you do is tilt your wrist a bit more 😅

@@MrBazReviews Supposedly the Skmei 1628 uses an Q&Q module from Citizen.

Your review is best
Glad you think so!
That little flashing indicator that comes on and off is what keeps me from buying one, I wish they would fix that
Don't know why they do that it doesn't do anything!
@MrBazReviews exactly, and that is why so many people don't want it. Skmei needs to fix it, and they will sell tons of these more so than they do now.
They already sell tons of it because of its price,...crazy value for a beater....
I got it for about 5.30 $.. Talk about bang for buck. My casio 5610u cost me 105 $ 😅
It's pretty good overall just skip the negative display one (IMO)
I would compare this to a budget casio from Walmart $>20

@@MrBazReviews I really like the 5600
@@chriskelly509 It's good but depends some people want something cheap and the Skmei is that it's not bad but the Casio is of course better.
@@MrBazReviews the cheapest Casio I can find is at my local Walmart for $16, 50m wr. I would compare that to the skmei or sanda watches
@@chriskelly509 The cheap Casio is usually the F91-W it's a slim model different to this.
The buttons on the Skmei rust over time, no such thing on the Casio.
I'll keep a look out for that strange they didn't use stainless steel
Did you experience that yourself?..
@@rockygabriel7096 Yes, the buttons on my Skmei are also rusty, but only on the wrist side, possibly due to sweat, I wore them while working on a construction site in the summer.
i have this model skmei ....display piceofshit
I don't know what the normal display is like, but the negative one is pretty poor. It's unreadable at many angles

It looks to small to have the negative display,on a bigger display the negative display works.
@@Jaysonbc1234maybe they forget there is a light there 😂
