This is awesome! You can send/push (frozen, tempered) rockets back with the whiplash, too-I don't know if it will still instakill, though. (Edit: Blue rockets will not instakill if returned with the whiplash (nor will you get the "round trip" style bonus).)
sadly no it doesnt instakill them i even tried to get the guttertank to go in front of the rocket and drag the rocket with the whiplash so the tip hits it and it doesnt work
Magnets do attract GTank rockets, even if they’re stuck in the ground! But you will still need to ride the rocket at some point for it to detonate on the GTank; otherwise the rocket just kinda pokes it and sits there until the magnet breaks for some reason. I’m guessing it’s a bug. UPDATE: Yup, 'twas a bug. An GTank rocket will now explode on contact with it's Tank regardless if it's been ridden on or not! That said, their rockets will now only supercharge if they've been ridden on, so do still consider jumping on them.
Rockets turn too slowly towards magnets for this to work. magnetting the guttertank just gimps the rocket's range so it can't hit v1, though it sometimes explodes near other enemies if they have the magnet
Magnets attract rockets, but break after 3. Hope this helps! Edit: also I was trying to hit a Guttertank with the like 5 rockets at once with this trick since they turn towards The magnet while frozen, it doesn’t seem to activate this “round trip.”
Thank you for the spoiler warning Sadly thats too much to ask for some people nowadays (I already scrolled past a video where the boss and its name are in the thumbnail)
Use a nailgun magnet on the guttertank to guide the rocket automatically. All you will need to do is step on it, and it will instantly kill the guttertank in an easily repeatable manner.
i swear to god violence's level should be something similar to advanced wars type of gameplay, only that it uses the existing machines instead of tanks or stuff like that
I am not sure about this but to me the guttertank seems like it has less heath or dies easier than the gutterman which to me seems weird cause you see it lator and has an upgraded name.
Gutter tanks are less defensive and more offensive. I put the two against each other using the new infighting feature in the sandbox and the guttertank won every time.
I would guess not, seeing as the requirements appear to just be "hit it with its own rocket", but even in the sandbox having a situation where it shoots itself without redirecting the rocket might be hard.
On the current build: yes, you have to ride the rocket for it to detonate. You’re also able to get the rocket to hit the tank if its got a magnet stuck in it, but the rocket just kinda pokes him and sits there until the magnet breaks. I’m guessing it’s a bug, but there’s no confirmation from Hakita that I know of yet. UPDATE: Yup, 'twas a bug. An GTank rocket will now explode on contact with it's Tank regardless if it's been ridden on or not! That said, their rockets will now only supercharge if they've been ridden on, so do still consider jumping on them.
I love how ultrakill players develop more and more stylish combos... Just to never use them in real game. No blame to video creator, finding stuff is fun to see. This may be hot take, but how the fuck would you allow yourself to stay perfectly still on a fucking rocket that can explode to anything for more than a second (+ maurices will specifically target rocket if you are riding it). In a game where there will be more than 10 things already aiming towards you every time and Guttermen who REQUIRE you to keep strafing. And alsoyou must turn that rocket with presicion towards ONE SPECIFIC MOVING TARGET, otherwise you made all that buildup for a fucking nothing and potentially took multiple explosion damages. I feel the same about railcoins tbh. Either you do regualar railgun and deal damage, potentially to multiple enemies. Or you throw a coin up do do 14% more damage (regular 7 vs coined 8) to one enemy, having chance to hit a random stray and completely losing ability to hit multiple targets. Or you spend several seconds to do multi-coin-ultra-ricoshot to hit single target several times, having to stand perfectly still; and EVERY enemy that you would want to do this agaisnt have several ways to launch you away, ruining combo.
I could see this tech being developed to something like: wait for the rocket to come close, pause it, and redirect the rocket. you could use this to set up traps. this has its use in at least the library fight of 7-2, so far. same with railcoin, it's a situational tech. using it on multiple enemies would require masterful coin flipping. you never see people use cool tech because not everyone dedicates every fiber of their existence to a game, nor do everyone feel compelled to share their efforts online. or maybe they are busy backseatting others instead.
Its not a combo its a cool secret way of defeating a pretty beefy enemy. Also it has potential in some cases where the enemy is alone. And the railcoin thing is pretty much a skill issue sorry dude
