Brian Hawke was a COMPLETE GENIUS physically. he was more talented than Takamura, Itadaki, Wally and Nekota combined but he did not use his talent, but the very fact that he became the world champion, fought with Takamura on equal terms and could use “endless punches” is incredible because to be able to hit from such positions You need incredible body preparation, much like Ippo did when he tried to do the Dempsey 2.0 rotation. he trained his body very hard and Brian was able to push his body even more despite his lifestyle. Wally's talent is that he has a good reaction and he is a genius in that he easily comes up with the most complex techniques on the fly, in this he is even more brilliant than Takamura, but Wally's agility and speed are not talent, he just lived in the right conditions
Facts! Wally and Hawks are NOT the same. It's disrespectful to Wally, a genuinely hardworking boxer (pre Ricardo fight he trained like there was no tomorrow and it was clear from his fight that he was far more experienced and came in with an actual viable and intelligent strategy against Ricardo) who enjoys and respects the sport. Hawks was a pure monster who could barely even be considered human. To put this into perspective, he had Mike Tyson's natural physical superiority, Muhammad Ali: the greatest's reflexes and agility, Smoking Joe's inhuman stamina, and top of all of that he was also a prodigy who could copy his opponents technique mid match (he basically used the same speed of hell takamura used purely to show off seconds after his opponents used it on him). @@MasterMisterRobloxhawk still has insane talent. He pushed takamura at his utmost limits with no training in his whole career whatsoever. If hawk had trained for his entire boxing career. Yeah. No. Lights out to all middleweights.
Hawk is talented due to the fact he has good reflexes, speed and a good build. Muscular, strong hitting and flexible in a sense, he can swayback pretty far back. He also as some 'in built mode' where if he hits enough time or gets hit, he goes to bloodlust or ecstasy. So in general, hes talented, but WAY too cocky and arrogant of his own strength, while also being violent. Meanwhile for wally, he was raised in the jungle, played around with natural animals like monkeys which his body then adapted to move, react and bend like one. His stamina is by far MUCH more higher than most, if not all the characters in hajime no ippo. Being able to dash and run around ricardo for quite some time, being able to jump around really high and dodge consistently. Body is also naturally more flexible, being able to do a literal 90° swayback. In 3 fights, already claimed the title of Indonesian champ. Naturally, he has almost everything. Only downside to wally however, is that first, physically, he cannot take as much hits as he wasnt 'trained' or able to due to his body build, and second, he takes boxing as a light sport, and more of a way to have fun instead of actually 100% into it. If hawk vs wally would happened, Wally would win, simply due to how much more talent wally has over hawk. Swayback, smash punch, flciker jabs, INSANE stamina, ability to use the ring against hawk, and also punches like hawk, unpredictable and in all angles. Hawk may be fast but remember, wally outsped basically all of his boxers, and has similar, if not better footwork than miyata.
Hawk is like the yoriichi of hajime no ippo but if yoriichi lived a degenerate life style with no discipline Hawk had a body that was pretty much granted by gods, it was perfect, even with his life style he became a world champion and still gave takamura an insane beating, had Hawk had the same mentality as someone like Takamura he'd have been the strongest man on the planet. If Hawk didn't get punch eye and got a wake up call from his loss against takamura, and actually gained discipline, Takamura would have lost his world title to him if they were to fight again, thats probably why he was given punch eye.
