The Bowman and the Remus are the only two on your list that are available around Houston. But I am intrigued! I think I may keep an eye out for these. I really have no desire to chase Blanton's. I've not had it, but everything I've heard is that it's not worth the time or money. I'd much rather try to find a Russell's 13 year or a Stagg Jr.
Was finally able to get a bottle of Blantons in Scotland for $90 looking forward to trying it, strangely I've actually been able to find EH Taylor small batch cheaper than Blantons here. Don't know if you get Dyson products in the States but I've heard their cooling fans are pretty quiet, maybe worth a try.
@@bertsrake Ardbeg is great but it's usually about 10 bucks more than Laphroaig around here and I like Laphroaig better. Port Charlotte is about 80 bucks around here but it's pretty damn good. Now that you mention it, think I'll pour a glass now.

For the price of a couple of those higher end bottles on those shelves, you guys could buy a nice little AC unit. It’s Coopers’ not Cooper’s…so we’re not talking about some dude name Cooper. We’re talking about an army of coopers and they’re coming for all of us. Also, you guys nailed it with the JJB SiB…exceptionally similar in my opinion.
When I first tried Coopers’ Craft, 0F 100 was the first thing that popped into my head even before I knew it was also from Brown-Forman. I get a really similar profile from both; perhaps a bit more oak on the Cooper, though that may be the power of suggestion from reading the label about their “chiseled” barrels. So that’s my dissenting opinion. 0F will remain a staple as it’s several bucks cheaper, and I’ll only replace the Coop if I see it discounted when OF isn’t. (Also, while I enjoyed this vlist, it’s not one I would consider similar to Blanton’s.)
Have blinded JJB against 2 different blantons...unanimous among 4 people...JJB won. and it's cheaper...and it's available. :) But really, JJB sucks. Please save yourself the regret and don't anyone buy it.

In the last 6 months I've bought Blanton's at 3 different stores for retail ($62). It's really not that hard if you put a little effort into it (ironically I wasn't even looking for Blanton's 2 of the 3 times). I still like to have it to drink occasionally or for gifts, but I won't pay over retail for it. I hate to be one of those people, but Blanton's used to be better 6-8 years ago, before it blew up. I think it was aged longer than it is now.

Oh no, a reference to Bowman and this old guy is triggered!!! Way back in the day (1976ish), I worked as a T-man and had several assignments to the A. Ponds and peahens (never saw a peacock). But I guess the real estate became too valuable, right there in Reston. They stored their barrels upright on pallets. I never saw that anywhere else.
The only time I break out my Blanton's is to make my friends drink it in blinds and laugh when they put it behind $20-30 bottles that sit in every liquor store in the country.
