Love the videos, but I would make a suggestion for us hearing and or visually impaired. 1) list everything you’ve reviewed under your video and 2) after introducing each whiskey do a quick edit/cutaway of a close up of each bottles label. I am a very visual person and seeing the label, UP CLOSE, would be awesome. That’s it. Keep up the good work!
Agreed. Thse two are too busy clowning around and mugging for the camera to speak clarly. I had to rewind several just to get the name of the bourbon they were talking about.
The list is literally in the comments. Plus I'll assume you haven't watched a lot of our stuff to know that we actually do put b roll in about all of our videos
Again, watch newer things. We put b roll that has close ups of every bottle now. Look at the two newest list videos of whiskey to hunt and not to hunt for.
I bought the Old Forester 1920 for my very first high proof whiskey. I did not enjoy it at all at first. It was so hot that I had trouble enjoying it. However, I am not a quitter, so I finished the bottle over the next week. I found that I really missed it when it was gone, but the darn store was sold out when I went to get another bottle. Finally found one and am really enjoying it. Thanks for the education.
Counting Blanton's original I have tried 3 of those bourbons and still have a ways to go. Good, I hope to live a long life. 1920 is my favorite bourbon and it will take a Hell of a bourbon whiskey to change my mind.
I live in Kentucky and have literally tried everything. The best bottle of whiskey I ever had was an Angel's Envey Cask strength. I can't remember if it was a 2017 or 2018 but it came in a wood box. I know it's a barrel finish and this and that but the truth is the truth. You can literally name any whiskey and I've tried it. That bottle was something on another level.
I really wish you would put the list in your old descriptions. I’ve literally taken 40 screen shots from your videos today alone trying to do some research and I can’t see half of the labels. I love your work and suggestions. Just wish I could use your videos as a better reference. Thanks and love from Cincinnati
welp after getting hosed on the OF birthday bourbon last month, today I got a Willett 4 year rye, a Buffalo Trace store pick, HW Midwinter Nights Dram and a 15 year Knob Creek that was both a store pick and 120 proof.
I stared at a bottle of Blade and Bow for awhile the other day and passed. I wasn't sure about that aging process, but now that I've read up on Solera, I think I'll give it a try. Only about $41 here. I've heard Dan mention it several times. I ended up getting a simple BT, which is just now becoming available again. I've been drinking bourbon for about 4 years now and I've never tried it, lol.
You guys are from my future home state. I enjoy you talking about local stuff. Gives me some hope my environment will foster a great Bourbon collection.
Got to do a High West tasting a while back here in MN and immediately fell in love. Haven't had that one yet, but I've loved the Campfire and Double Rye so far. That may be the next thing I have to get.
Great Video guys! I've been on the fence about buying a bottle of WLW because of the high price tag but this sealed the deal for me. Birthday has been on my bucket list forever and I like their regular bourbons so I can't wait to find it one day.

I just keep hearing great things on old forester. I think I need to purchase a bottle. Based on several of your other videos I have seen, I need to look for higher proof, single barrel, or bottled in bond or anything like that. I will be looking for that 1920 you have in there. Thanks for the recommendations!
Nice rundown guys. 10 bourbons, 1 finished bourbon, 1 rye, and a finished rye. You guys need some scotch on your shelves lol. I'd say the Stagg is the one bottle in your lineup that stands out from the rest. The King of bourbons imo. 2014 GTS is my favorite bourbon ever. Seriously though get some damn scotch. Cheers fellas!
Solera method originates in Spain and Portugal. Especially used for Port, Sherry and Spanish brandy as well as some high end vinegars. There are some Solera aged rums out there and certain wines, mainly sweet, aperitif and fortified wines that also use the technique, but it's really most famous for Port wines and aged sherries. The problem, at least for whiskeys, is that a good Solera takes decades and decades to get going. We're talking sixty years and up. Since it's a new/experimental thing for Bourbons and American spirits it's more of a marketing gimmick at this stage of the game. Just my opinion, of course, your mileage may vary.
Just discovered you guys a few days ago 😁. Been semi binge watching your shows. Enjoying more than binge watching streaming TV 😂 The 🐈 meowing in the background makes it real. Several years ago my daughter was at Total Wine looking for a b-day gift for me and was perplexed looking at the KY Bourbon's knowing I wasn't a fan. A rep asked her what I liked and she told her (rep) I liked JD. The rep recommended Buffalo Trace stating most JD drinkers find the overall taste similar. Knowing my disdain for KY Bourbon's back then she was going out on a limb. When I opened it and saw Kentucky Bourbon her heart sank when she saw my expression. I immediately opened the bottle, poured a glass and had some. I gave her a big hug and told her she did well (for a 22 year old).
I actually agree with y’all. Buffalo, old forester, I’ve only ever had regular blantons, my bar that I manage we have high west but not the midsummer, I’ve only tried the original angels envy, I have tried stag(love it) and I’ve never had pappy(because it’s very hard to get) but I have had rip van winkle. Just happened to come across y’all’s videos and had to subscribe. Y’all are awesome.
@@BourbonJunkies Buffalo Trace is a favorite and I'm a big Forester fan too. Blade and Bow is the only other I've had in that line-up. Had Willett and Blantons, but not these. What do you think of the Maker's cask strength?
Dont bottle flip Angel's. I had a bottle in front of me and the sales person dropped it on its face on the counter and the bottle completely shattered. Now I never wanted to slurp anything off of the floor before but I panicked.
I have officially given up on Old Forester Bday bourbon. Have been trying to get a bottle the last 3-4 years or so and have come to the conclusion it doesnt exist. Out of all the phone calls and the "Let me know and I can get it for you" promises, and trips to various stores, Ive never seen one nor had the opportunity to taste any. So, out of that list I personally would replace that one with OWA or Elijah Craig BP. That is a really good list though you all put together.
Some of this lists is a "try at a bar" type of whiskey. I can't put OWA on this list with Weller full proof being better and woodfords new wheat whiskey being very close, not allocated AND cheaper. Cheers!
@@BourbonJunkies agree to disagree on Full Proof. I have 2 bottles and for most itll be unobtainable and the finish is very very thin whereas you can find OWA in bars firly easily and again, Bday Bourdon - never seen it.
