Hi mate. Love the videos. Your belts will 99% be just dirt making them more rigid and not allowing the springs in the mech to retract. Pull them all the way out (a sandwich bag clip keeps them out fully so you can work on them) put the whole belt in a bucket on the seat with detergent to soak. Then use a nail brush to clean with sides bit by bit. Dry with a rag and leave out for a day to dry. Hey presto - working belts!
