- The BEST And WORST Detailing Products Found LOCALLY!! WalMart, Autozone, Advanced, Harbor Freight!! In this video, I personally visit each of these local stores to point out the best and worst detailing products that can be found locally in a pinch. keep in mind, these products are going to be watered down....so to speak as everyone can get their hands on them. All of these locations have detailing products and are within a few miles of our location.

What are some of the best stores locally in YOUR area to find detailing products?
Walmart
AutoZone and Walmart are the best options near me. I prefer Advanced Auto for auto parts but they don't seem to have a very good selection of detailing supplies.
Canadian Tire.
The same you listed above along with O'Reilly Auto Parts who caries the 'Superior' line of auto detailing products. I still use your Tide "Sport" formula on interiors to kill smells. Works great. I have a local Chemical Guys (30 miles) for pads and backing plates, but not a fan of most of their liquid products for summer use.

The Superior line of products found at O'Riley's can be used to start a full business, I would only supplement it a gentle interior cleaner as Superior doesn't make one or a Also suds lab at Walmart has great chemicals and tool
Firepower is what they consider their interior cleaner. It’s essentially just an APC. Follow it up with Aqua Gloss to protect.
Dark Fury works great for wheels and bugs. For a rinse aid, Formula 4 is awesome.
Their facility is about 20 minutes from me, they make all sorts of products. They provide bulk chemicals for car washes.
All I have is Walmart, O'Reileys, and Autozone. Most of the time I have to order on line.

I like the Meguiar's no shine interior cleaner. It's mild and great for someone that takes care of their vehicle. I also use the Mothers wheel/tire cleaner. It works great and is usually BOGO for like $8. I do use the Turtle Wax window cleaner. I like that it's air powered but comes out like an aerosol. It cleans good as well.

Since you're a Central PA guy, I'm sure you've noticed that occasionally Ollie's has good stuff. Hit or miss, of course, but can usually count on some cheap microfiber cloths.
My local Ollie's has the Meguiars Hybrid Paint Coating for 19.99. I bought about 10 cans, Im good until 2030 lol
Autoality and The Clean Garage are both excellent PA distributors.
My Walmart got rid of Jay Leno garage products, I loved JLG Radiance!
Brian, this was a very good video to show some of what is available locally. It does depend on locality but I was surprised with some of what you found. No need to panic when you need something. Thank you for taking the time to show us this. I was surprised they let you in some of the stores with a camera. Being a former news cameraman I ran into that problem allot… John

Who goes to stores and buys stuff these days, lol...thanks amazon! Anyway i go to the detail aisle every time i go to walmart for shits and giggles, suds lab has decent interior scrubbers and their demrrssing applicator works well. Also ollies can have a gem or two from time to time. Right now they have TW one and done and to the max wax for 6 bucks. Its hit or miss there though, usually miss.
Alot of stuff on amazon is overpriced.
Apex would like to see start to carry product that meets your standards if not something of a list with affiliate links to your go to products!

I forgot to mention Cerakote Trim Restorer, costly in a business but good for an individual. A couple products I will use, Purple Power Vehicle & Boat Concentrate, (Do Not Use Purple Power Degreaser on Paint), Super Clean, Dawn, & Stoners Invisible Glass Non (Ammonia).
This video reminds me when I first got my IS F back in February I was going to correct the paint because The previous owner, my close friend had Joe from OCD detailing out in Fremont, California coat, the IS F in Cquartz finest reserve unfortunately my close friend thought that this coating was superior, scratch resistant, yada yada yada type of coating and ran it through the swirl maker 5000 anyway Brian long story short I ran out of perfect finish and I gave my other bottle to my friend, went over to my local O’Reillys looking for some old Maguire 105 or something professional all they had left was that Maguires Swirl remover 2.0 and I was like oh what the hell we’ll see what happens. I have to tell you I got the car corrected about 70% of where I wanted it to be so what I thought was a subpar product worked quite well currently for sealant, I have Jes car ultra lock on my ultrasonic blue Mica.
I still use your Tide Coldwater clean mixed with Dawn, Oxyclean and APC. I still use that formula for some trashed upholstery/ carpet disasters 👀👌 When you showed that formula I knew I was watching a bonifide detailing channel.👌👀🤜🏽
NOT to upscale you, I use Oxyclean, Dawn & Ammonia glass cleaner as my carpet & upholstery mixture...

I’ve tried two chemical guys products and both are fantastic. Silk Shine for interior & Tire Kicker Tire Shine. They do have some good products.

Brian went fast on the chemicals, if you are new to detailing here are a few recommendations. Walmart will be your least expensive retailer, sometimes an auto parts will match their price? You can't go wrong with some of the Megs, Turtle Wax Hybrid, Griots, & Adams products. Some are professional grade? I have heard some good things about Jay Leno products @ Walmart but I have never used them. The Kirkland towels will stand up for a long time if taken care of...
Now thats scary they made purple power stronger than the original one. Whats ph off new stronger puple power??off the chart..
Yeah purple power is some strong stuff. I read its lye based so its really corrosive too.

I know what you mean about gloss enhancers in shampoos, the hydrophobic properties can be rubbish and it doesn't last.
