I have recently just started doing this stuff and I'm not vary good but when I get better I will definitely come back to make these also you got a new follower :)
I’m a fan since your previous tutorials! I love this design.💕 I’ll make these as soon as I get 18 gauge wire. Right now I only have 24. Anyways, could you please make a tutorial on earcuffs? I love the fairy earcuffs with beads and the ones that connect more than 1 part of ears.🥰 It gives the illusion that you have more piercings than you do.
i made these just now.. thanks a lot for such an easy to follow tutorial. I have a question though, I made the heart chain bracelet few days back using brass wire and when I wore it to college yesterday and came back home, I realized that the wire turned a bit black.. so do you have any tips to prevent tarnishing?
I'm glad you enjoyed this tutorial! As for tarnishing, it is pretty hard to prevent tarnishing without getting higher-quality wire. The wire I use right now is silver-plated, but even that can chip and tarnish after a lot of wear. I'd recommend buying silver-plated for now! I am thinking about upgrading to gold-plated wire some time, but that is an investment and I wouldn't recommend that unless you plan on using all a lot of wire :)
It depends on what wire you get! All the wire I use in this video is labeled as tarnish resistant but does tarnish over time because it’s made out of brass or another cheaper metal. To get actual tarnish-free wire, I’d recommend stainless steel wire for silver colored things (just be warned that stainless steel wire is very hard) or sterling silver wire (which is way more expensive), and gold-filled wire for gold colored jewelry. Lots of people also use gold-plated wire, although I’ve never tried it so I can’t say with certainty how good quality it is.
Thank you for watching! It depends on the gauge and strength of the wire you use - I use mostly 18 gauge from Joanns or Wire Elements, and find that it is strong enough to make good earring frames. Of course, if you step on them, they will likely bend out of place, but as long as you’re careful you should be good!
Hey! I love your videos!! Have you heard of "Plasti Dip"? This helps coat the pliers so they won't leave marks on the metals. Since working metal to metal reacts. Let me know if this helps
