I loving the vids bruv!! This video is super simple and I don’t get how folks make it into rocket science. Not the other 46 comments just generally. I’m a black dude but human first and fellow viewer of bs in our world. I’m a sucker for originality but for folks to see that Disney, if I’m alive long enough to see it is just as quick to make an Asian, Mid East,African mermaid etc is corny! The lack of originality is what kills me inside. It’s like they said in the episode, in essence Miles isn’t a “Black” Spider-Man; He’s just a Spider-Man that happens to be black 😂if you get me. The Xiaolin Showdown vids have me marathoning top to bottom right now. Don’t lose that wholesome genuinity I hear in ya voice and vids brotha🫡
Thanks man, I really appreciate it. South Park is always a touchy topic online because if you don’t fall into the rage bait, or points that go over peoples heads, a lot of fans will get mad😭 but yeah I love those aspects to the episode, the creators made some really interesting points about representation where I don’t know how any side can say it makes them alone look good / bad.
I'm sorry but the woke (Which I assume you are since you complain about "centrists" and using probably the worst strawman comic at 5:20 of how "stupid and evil" centrists are) are the last to call anyone a griftor when you have youtubers and companies that try to pander to everyone. The point of the satire is to say that Diversity will not make a show great. Matt and Trey essentially are on the side of how it's lazy and shitty to make a story with diversity, but clarify the difference in rationally being against washing away men and white people(Kyle) with the ones that are over the top with being anti-woke (Cartman). The scene with Kyle and PC principle sums up the entire point.
Isnt south park specials usually parody of BOTH Extreme sides..And panderverse IS that: nostalgic fanboys who workship The orig trilodgy And The BS pandering of Disney activists.. And All this would had Been evaded If Disney would had done its new trilodgy Heroes/villains likeable/Cool And D no.. maybe NOT DROP KICK EXPANDED UNIVERSE of SW
Watched the Panderverse special and, as usual, the wrong people get the wrong message from this special. This special in no way validating the "anti-woke" crowd at all, despite what they want to believe. Any real South Park fan knows Cartman is always used to make fun of the people that actually agree with him. Cartman represents the absolute trash of our society, whose opinions are so warped and overblown they aren't meant to be taken seriously. Anyone who watched this special should hopefully have enough brain cells to see the message wrapped up cleanly at the very end, that it's the racists/bigots/misogynists etc. who caused the issues, to which the other side reacted poorly against. The ironic thing which is what makes the creators so fucking brilliant is the "anti-woke" crowd LOVED this special despite the fact they were the target joke the entire time. They were PANDERED to without realizing they were being pandered to. Irony cannot be more pure than that. And to top it all off...the real important message gets forgotten. Billionaires need to be taken down and we all really need to learn how to do shit instead of relying on someone else to fix it.
Thank you for being one of the few comments that actually watched the special, let alone UNDERSTOOD it, totally agree with your points. I really enjoy South Park, but there’s always an ongoing joke online that “South Park fans don’t watch their own show”

You the anti "Woke" Crowd won't be mad at a White Tokin Character like how they weren't outraged by a asian girl being replaced by a white girl in the live action winx show. yea that happened look it up.
If I remember correctly didn’t they replace an Asian girl and a Latina girl with two white gals? I did hear a few people talk about the whitewashing there, but I do think whitewashing a role has a lot worse implications than making a white character not white, like L in the live action death note on Netflix

South Park isn't doing anything new, they've always satirized society, and it's hilarious.
Yup, and both sides will post the same clip of cartman and say “see, I’m right!”
