What a great job Cameron did following my son's journey of recovery. This documentary is very emotional for me to watch and is extremely well done. Thanks Cameron for avoiding blood in the surgical shots. I have been to many of Adam's races, but was not able to be there for his Hard Rock come back - a race I would love to have been at. I will be forever grateful to Nick, Dakota and all the search and rescue people and medical professionals for such a good outcome and to my amazing daughter-in-law for being such a rock through all of this.
Watching this in January 2020, sending Adam my deepest condolences on the loss of his Laura, and wishing him all the peace and strength that the universe could offer.
after watching this... i cried... and cried..... 🙏 i hope ur fine now.. ur a legend ur a inspiration ur my hero now (along with Dean karnazes and late terry Fox) Respect from India 🇮🇳
I watched this movie at Arcteryx Alpine Academy in Chamonix and really wanted to give props to the Director Cameron Sylvester and to Adam Campbell as well. STUNNING film boys, gave me goose bumps from start till the end.
Fantastic. I’m struggling returning to ultra’s and indeed just running after an ankle injury from botched Osteopath treatment. Been a long road, I was never at your level but same love for the sport so your story and film has helped me. Thanks.
Wow, powerful video. His comments really hit a cord with me. "When you untie you laces, life still happens". For a sport obsessed person, thats probably just what I need to hear. Thank you.
NOT EVERYONE OUT OF THOSE MILLION PEOPLES WHO HAVE WATCHED THIS VIDEO , WAS/IS CAPABLE OF UNDERSTANDING THE EMOTIONS THAT CAME OUT OF ADAM'S WORDS , IF YOU DID , IF YOU HAD THE CHILLS THROUGH YOUR SPINE , THIS IS A REASON TO MOVE , THIS IS WHY ONE SHOULD BE " IN CONSTANT MOTION" .
I had heard about your accident Adam, and read a little about your recovery online. What a tremendous accomplishment. In a life spent engaged in sport, this may not be your best placing but surely it is one of the most meaningful. All the best, to you and your family.
"For my entire life, my physical self is being, how i define myself, i think better in motion i'm happier when i'm in motion i'm just a person in motion, if you're not moving you're dead, that's always how i've seen it. " - Adam Campbell This quote really hit home for me, i couldn't agree more.
Good movie about a moment when one comes to crossroads. It's only after having been back in the sport for a while after an accident that you will know how the accident has affected you. It can be live changing in many ways, but it's not necessarily like that.
Great film about a great guy. I found Adam impressive for his athletic exploits, but after the accident I found him even more impressive for the recovery he made and his outlook on life. I never had a serious accident, but I can vaguely imagine the drive and the hard work (both physical and mental) you need to recover from something like this. He's certainly a guy I would like to have a beer with!
Great film about a great accomplishment. Emotional for most of us involved in mountain sports, especially those of us who have been injured to one degree or another. I work in orthopedic surgery and my gut tells me that these scenes were recreated for the film. Too much slick camera work for most operating rooms. Even still, they were well done. Can't wait to see how it goes this year.
That was a generous surgeon letting him into the O.R. Many would not. That took some quick planning to get that in line I bet and the film is better for it.
Hey Brian, the surgery shots were actually from the extraction of the hardware from my spine which happened in November, not the initial accident footage
Hey Adam. Thanks for the reply. That makes way more sense to my surgical brain. As you know, most operating rooms don't let just anyone in the door. I imagine Cameron had to get some shots and be vetted to do what he did. Still, it was a key element of the overall impact of the film. Welcome back!
Yes, this is terrific display of human spirit and effort, but why...? I also aim at ultras, but fawking why turn your life into race? It's just our ego that pushes us beyond and keeps whispering that this and that and that is not enough... that we are not good enough and thats why we have to push more for more more more more and more races by screwing up our bodies completely. Whats the point anyways? Just do few ultras a year and be engaged in something else instead burning yourself in the trails of your ego. Dont think that I cast Adam or his achievments down but this is complete mess.
I think the point is to trully face yourself. This is who I am. I'm changing, my body is changed. To me Adam is just being himself. And that is probably the bravest thing to do. Face yourself.

This 14 minute movie had more emotional impact than most blockbuster 2 hour movies.

Passion knows no Limits ....kudos to Adam for his grit coming much stronger then he was before.truly an inspirational story ...
A very touching film!! The beauty of it is acceptance, from personal and recent experience, healing comes from acceptance.

What an emotional journey, the human body is nothing without the will to be something truly special.
What a story. And told with such honesty and grace. Adam, you embody what the amazing sport of ultra running is all about
Amazing story Arc'teryx! Keep stuff like this coming.
Riveting. And so moving. It's emotional even for those of us who have never met Adam. So much love and guts. Beautiful.
Thanks Alison!

Heartfelt story and amazing sceneries along the way. Very much touched and gave a strong motivation to start running and run for the rest of my life.
Thanks!

Beautiful story Adam. You're perseverance is very inspiring.
You are an amazing inspiration Adam. Great movie.
Needed this to see before my own 230km ultramarathon journey next weekend.
Even after almost dying and getting your body destroyed, you're still in great shape and have a lot of heart. That says a lot about you.
What an inspiring video. Thank you for putting this together!
Thanks for watching!
Powerful film. Nice work guys!
Amazing story and filmmaking! Very inspiring!!!

It was actual footage in the operating room. Cameron did an awesome job of it

A story of a man, crying, for 14 minutes
Isn't that a wonderful sound when you think of what the alternative almost was.

Dihuda someone who just doesn't get it. That's fine though.

Yall sure do cry a lot over nothing. Ever run 100 without crying?
Why do people injure themselves in the middle of nowhere and then brag about it on RUclips? You should be embarrassed!
