For a german i have to say, the Walkin wardrobe and onsuit bathroome is the least realistic XD the monument protection office would never allow to ripp open the walls for another bathroom XD
But I think it is super cute and the balconie is so creativ.
This is the case in Italy too. Can't tell you how disappointing it is to see a beautiful, inspiring building that merges so nicely with the street and then you walk in and its white walls and Ikea furniture :/

@@Iluvpie6 i went to New Orleans once. I was walking in a crowd of tourists and this woman came bustling through us, just hoofin er up the street, no shoes on, only wearing her underwear. A couple of people behind us tittered, and this lady made a crazy ass u turn and charged toward me screaming "Im from Louisiana, b****!" Bf yanked me out of the way and she started going after the people behind us. NoLA is wild!! Fun times.

It's so nice to see him working with it and it came out amazing too! ETA: Getting to the end of this video, I genuinely think this might be my favourite ever James build.

One of the reasons James is my favorite sims builder is that he always tries building something outside of his comfort zone. James’ builds has a lot of variety so it’s always interesting to watch and he excels at every one of them.

I'd definitely consider it! Windenburg is one of the prettiest and biggest worlds, especially if you like that style, plus the club system is still very useful and versatile depending on what you're doing with your Sims. There are also cafes you can visit which gives you a new public lot type for meeting friends and if I'm not mistaken, there's a public pool. If you have Seasons already, the whole world gets a lot of snow in winter (lol in fact also blizzards if you want to risk Sims dying out doors.) I'd just wait for the next sale because none of them are really worth full price unless you're super duper excited about it. :)

@@jorinschepers2376 Awww... Yeah, they're still expensive. I guess just try to save a little bit every month while you're waiting for the discount? It can't hurt and if you're unable to, at least you won't really be set back since it's an unnecessary purchase. (You could also ask for it as a present and see how that goes!) And if you're on PC, you can see which mods come close to matching that style, then try building up Newcrest in the meantime.

It's so much fun watching someone being really good at building and enjoying it! Meanwhile my houses are all still just boxes. The other day I built a "rustic style" house and it's just a box with wooden walls.

I’m actually infatuated with this whole build!!! It really reminds me of my parents house because they have drastically contrasting decor styles and my mom is always trying to figure out how to blend them together properly. I think you did a marvelous job! I will definitely download it!!

James, you and deli should choose each others best features of previous builds (say top 10 builds) and then merge them together to create the ultimate build. I.e: best kitchen from one house and best bathroom from another. Can choose best floor plan as well and then alter the other areas to fit within that floor plan.
Trick is, deli has to choose your top ten and you choose hers before you create your own best builds with those areas chosen.

When I saw the roofing, I was blown away. It’s so fun!!
I did not realise how much unconventional non-American suburban roofing I needed in my life prior to this.
I started watching this video expecting an entertaining but hot mess of a build, but ended up loving it - seriously, this build was superb.
Only thing I wish was included - that backyard is begging for a lush garden that takes advantage of the sloping elevation change, and maybe even a little pond. If you ever want to demo the new pond tool when it comes out, this might be the build to do it in. 👍
This house is so dreamy. The round turret wth the platform is an ADORABLE idea, and perfect for the storybook/tudor style you were building in!

The likes and dislikes are definitely one of my favorite additions to the game. It definitely pushes me out of my comfort zone with decor and even CAS. This house is gorgeous! Not my usual style but I want to create some Sims to play here.
Idea to expand on this challenge. You ask a series of sims for their likes, that has to correlate with a specific room. Make a list of rooms e.g exterior, entry, kitchen, bathroom etc. The response you get from Sims builds the house. Frankenstein dream house 🤣

James! It looks so great! You really need to do more storybook builds, with modern additions - without any restrictions. I think you've unlocked a style outside of your usual wheelhouse that you're genuinely good at!
I know this video is two years old but I really like the house you built, I wish I was a good a builder as you are. The outside of the house is beautiful and the inside gives it character, I love architecture and interior design and I think you did a really good job despite such limiting categories.
I think three liked colors, two decor styles, and one hobby would be perfect for this challenge!

Love the house! It has a 'French Country' vibe to it, which is my favourite architectural style.
This house is really cool actually, I love contemporary style and hate dusty and musty old furniture but cottages have a lot of charm to them. This is a cottage that's actually liveable with wi-fi and without spiders dropping on your head :P
I’m only 11 minutes in and I truly adore this build. I think Reginald may love this house as an aesthetic, OR one of the descendants in future. ☺️

I love the storybook style of the house! I would have mixed it with cottage and used green, brown and blue. Looks great though!
