The Batuu renovation was so wholesome, love it. Keep your four R's when you do a gig: RENOVATE (the gig itself), REDECORATE (with your painting), RAID (steal something), RUN (self explanatory).

But at this point its like I don't even wanna pay for things when they first come out because of the issues. Mine as well wait for it hits the sales, and it's been played awhile. Idk. Oh man the bugs in this pack later in the career are so bad, I really really hope they fix these soon because I’m not buying this pack until they fix it. Also I’ve noticed that when the original father winter dies, the random ones that spawn are so weird and slightly buggy. I currently have a father winter who won’t leave my lot in my 6th generation legacy challenge, he just stays watching the kids network on tv. 😅
Yamachan is currently hanging out in my Sims' house. You can take a selfie, or do the wave. That is literally the only interactions that you can do with him.
Father Winter isn't supposed to die. He's supposed to be immortal as a YA. They fixed that bug, but in older saves (like one of mine) it is still present. I have his age and career frozen using MCCC. Before every Winter Fest, though, I check him, and my family is friends with Father Winter so he comes to most of the parties and I check then. Actually, 10th gen were triplets by him.
I absolutely live for going between Kayla's and James' videos. Kayla's constant despise for Batuu, then you get James' "Aww Yeah, Batuu!" The balance feels right. Like yin and yang.
Batuu hype aside, i feel you have found your groove back in the sims4, it is bugged but it is also a lot of fun to play, and a lot of fun to watch you enjoying the gameplay. Keep them coming!
The speed with which Lilith takes off, when the renovation starts … I bet she couldn’t wait to rush over and visit her children and grandchildren again. 😄
I think the random club invites happen if you do a lot of “their” activities… like for the garden gnomes it’s obviously if your sim does a lot of gardening and I think the renegades are really into mischief.. 😅

Umplayed Sims generate likes and dislikes wherever you play, so your townies most likely spawned into the mountain area where you played Brodie there to get his aspiration done, hence they got likes for skiing and snowboarding. My interior decorating sim was hanging out in parks a lot and most clients liked fishing, cooking and fitness 🤓
That shows one of the weaknesses of the likes and dislikes. It's interesting that sims will begin to enjoy things they do but if they just end up having all the same likes as my sim regardless of traits or situations because the the simulation only functions on lot and just doesn't do anything off lot then it's poorly planned at best.

They're talking about townies who live in other worlds showing up to community lots and liking the things there; so it's like if someone went on vacation to a ski resort and they liked skiing. Edit: But for that reason, I think it makes more sense to make it more random... you'd get more variety. You can live on a mountain and hate skiing or be neutral.
Honestly I think it’s random. I have played a *lot* of this pack and I have seen zero correlation of likes/dislikes at all. Townies in sulani like snowboarding, others randomly like cooking or programming and my sim is an artist.

The second renovation’s preferences actually made sense for once… “Yeah I’d really like to make the place a lot more modern but lush with a lot of greenery, and I’m really feeling some warm tones like browns and oranges.”
I spent an hour giving Tina Tinker a gorgeous new kitchen last night and she said it was nice but not to her taste as did Yasmin and Olive and I got zero Simoleans and arrived back to my lot to hate mail from a previous client who's dead. This pack is super glitchy. I had gone to their home and set up the likes just as I wanted them.
Someone asked me to do a renovation. He likes gaming, fitness and mixology. It was for a renovation of the local library. Wtf am I supposed to do with those likes?!
In my experience the likes generated on the job panel matter more than their personal preferences when it comes to getting paid, but their reactions are based on their own ones. And if you go to the lot then give them likes/dislikes it seems to bug out and revert to the original ones in those reactions, so you need to set them before the job starts.
I can’t believe James forgot Elsie, I mean, he killed her at an absurdly hot New Years party and spent the next year trying to make ambrosia to resurrect her. All the while trying to pay off his inflated student loans. I realize he plays a lot, but that was one of the more memorable story lines.
Not gonna lie... am I the only one who likes Batuu build and buy? James just use it from now on, you don't have to restrict yourself. I'm so glad you enjoyed it today ^_^

I agree! I hate that the hobbies take up slots in the gig. Like how does the fact that you like cooking help with a bathroom Reno? I think the hobbies should really only be used for specific rooms, like if they wanted a photography room or music room but it shouldn’t take up a slot though. I was thinking about the likes and dislikes should more like for every like, there is a dislike, or something along those lines. 2 likes and 2 dislikes etc. Also the addition gig bug is super annoying 😬

I don't know why on earth they don't just give you what you ask for. If you ask about colours they should give you a colour, if you ask about decor they should give you a decor style, if you ask for hobbies, give hobbies. It's really not that difficult?

Carl tested it and found out you can add dog poop and get paid still. There seem to be no loss conditions or at least I am yet to see anyone fail :/

Clip the audio, download it to your phone and then set it as an alarm if it's an MP3 file

I agree! I hate that the hobbies take up slots in the gig. Like how does the fact that you like cooking help with a bathroom Reno? I think the hobbies should really only be used for specific rooms, like if they wanted a photography room or music room but it shouldn’t take up a slot though. I was thinking about the likes and dislikes should more like for every like, there is a dislike, or something along those lines. 2 likes and 2 dislikes etc. Also the addition gig bug is super annoying 😬

I've found out if you just ask them under friendly interactions about favourite colour or décor you can get more info, doesn't lock in the actual job but haven't had any issues yet
@@Chris-lz8jm yeah I’ve been doing that too! it’s a tiny little work around that takes up some time but it helps give a bit more direction if you weren’t given much.
I don't know why on earth they don't just give you what you ask for. If you ask about colours they should give you a colour, if you ask about decor they should give you a decor style, if you ask for hobbies, give hobbies. It's really not that difficult?
