Being a total hillbilly from starr mountain in se Tennessee, its shocking i know, but yall i absolutely love these videos,on my 2 days off work a week this is what i watch ,and so proud theys a american getting to explore and see all these royal homes ❤❤
What a beautiful countryside. Julie, you are so lucky to live in the UK. That would be a dream for me to live there. Your videos are interesting and intelligent. Thank you for doing this for those of us who are Anglophiles.
I love Georgiana's delicate voice! Such a lovely place to have tea! Beautiful tea cups! It must be wonderful to live there! Thank you Julie for sharing! Congratulations on your cold water plunge! The flowers are pretty!
So amazed by the oldest treehouse in the world! The views are spectacular. It is amazing to think about all of the work that has gone into restoring Pitchford.
Never knew that piece of history! I wonder how young Princess Victoria would be to see the 'Tree Houses" being made today. LOL, she'd never go into a castle 😂
It must have been wonderful, not only to take tea in the oldest tree-house in the world, but also to meander through all that wild garlic as you headed to the plunge pool.
Hello. Thank you for this lovely video. I believe that you have made a new friend. You two seem to get along so well. It's wonderful to make good friends all throughout your life.
Well, I’m gobsmacked! 😂😂😂 I live in the US and just wanted to say that because this truly is a very special video. Makes me want to go wild swimming! But I’m 83 so might think twice. ❤️❤️❤️
I want to congratulate their family for getting it back. The dedication to have their family estate returned to them must have been hard but very rewarding if you look at their kids. Stories like this are good. You can make another series from it. Historical building and Estates getting returned to their original family. I hope there's more of them out there.
As an American. I am always intrigued by the admiration for all things Queen Victoria in the U.K. Why do you think in 2022 she still fascinates the world? Is it because she was the one who ties our modern world to the past? I'd be interested it what others think. Thanks Jenn
I have loved each video in this series! The history, the restoration, the family’s challenges and perseverance of getting the house back-just incredible!
The "Priest Hole" is really interesting! My father was a priest. He would have loved seeing this! I enjoyed Georgianna telling us about Princess Victoria's time at Pitchford and the lady who lived between the Orangery and the tree house! Georgina's stories about the house are wonderful! Rowena's bathing outfit is awesome! Fabulous video!! Love from Vermont
I was smiling all the way through this sweet video! You and Rowena are so daring to go into the plunge pool! The house in the tree is sooo cool! I just loved watching this video!
My husband has heard me say ‘I wonder what the people were like who have walked here before us?’ 100’s of times when we visit Europe. You bring the answers to this question alive! Brava!
Cheers Julie and Rowena, for the plunge (someone had towels for after, right?); and a lovely chat in the tree house with Georgiana. Pitchford is an amazing place.
I adore this family and their beautiful home. Their plunge pool is so pretty. I swim all year around and my tip is to keep moving/swimming so that you don’t feel the cold. 🏊♀️
Delightful episode had me smiling throughout! Sad though to think Princess Victoria had to sleep in the cold part. What mother wouldn’t snuggle with her daughter to keep her warm. I can’t imagine. I read a lot of historical fiction and am familiar with priest holes. The cold plunge was the icing on the cake! What a warm welcoming family!
Julie i am so glad i found your channel . Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I reside in south eastern ohio . I look forward to your videos. I love looking at these beautiful homes , someday I hope to visit and see this history for myself. Loving the journeys with you thus far.😘
I love the story of getting their family house back. The tree house and all the surroundings are truly beautiful. I have to say Rowena sounds so enthusiastic, would love to follow their story, I wonder would they have their own channel on RUclips? Thank you for another great video 👏🏻
Love love love your programs! Both your series are so much better than the plethora of pay per view shows that certain streaming platforms have on offer. I mean it, SO much better! I just wish I were financially able to be a monthly contributor!
On history hit channel Dan Snow introduced a replica of a 18 the century naval cannon he fired it at a target it was very impressive. The type of cannon that would be used on the perimeter walls of a castle to protect it like the cannon known as Humpty Dumpty the firing range for this experiment in naval arms was in Dorset which I think is near Mapperton. So hope you like this bit of information Julie
Bliss! So much eye candy in the architecture! I'd love to know more about Lady Sybil Grant, the gal sounds like she'd be a great dinner party companion 😆
Hi there Julie I missed the live cosied up amidst the cold and thick fog😍👋How fabulous the history hidden doors Queen Victoria as a teenager the tree house so magnificent I loved treehouses even just to climb trees a sanctuary away from the world and ghosts😍👌Wild swimming brrrr but I loved as a teenager you inspire me Julie gracious hosts lovely family the history is riveting can’t wait for next week That room amazing Grazie Mille Amore❤️❤️😍😍👌👌🌟🌟
Not for all the money in the world could I convince myself it's just a sensation, I am cold when it it's 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but you girls make it look easy. The history of the hall is just so astonishing, just beautiful. Thanks, girls for bringing us along. love from NY.
Really love the content that you are putting out, these homes are much more than brick, stone, wood, lime mortar and lath and plaster. They are part of our national psychy. Our forebears would have relied on these Manor homes for everything, prior to the industrial revolution a lot of our families would have been either living as owners, living and working in them, as craftsman working to make sure they stayed as a symbol of that owners wealth or working in the surrounding areas as farmers or farm labourers on the lord of the Manors Farms.
What a Magnificent place!!! It must have so amazing to be in that Tree house... Love the Victorian bathing suit!! Congratulations on another great episode!!!!
Thank you for this series - my husband's grandfather was a Pitchford and went to South Africa from England, but I don't know where he grew up. I would need to do some digging. Great to see Pitchford Hall is still standing.

I'd love to see Julie visit Harvington Hall, where there are several priest holes. Many years ago (over 50 years, OMG, I feel old!) I was able to go into one of them, which was quite an experience.
I am truly enjoying the historical aspects of your Pitchford Hall episodes. So very informative. Tea in the Tree House how very special for the future Queen and for you. Cold plunge!!! You are so.brave. loved Rowenas bathing suit. Here in upstate New York there is a polar bear plunge into the Beautiful Lake George on the 1st of every January. You would do well here Julie.
NOTHING could get me into that pond! Madness! Treehouse was sweet.Julie, I presume you have been in the natural pools in Hampstead??I went there when I was younger and lived in London.
Oh Julie if you ever get to Austin Texas we have a natural cold pool in the middle of the city. It is called Barton springs pool If u get a chance to come here, you should definitely go.
O.M.G. THE CAR!!!! Twist my arm to get in already! How do you drive on the left side...ok, maybe you might be able to make a driving (motoring?) video? That plunge pool looks absolutely fantastic. (In an aside, have discovered that being cold helps to get my asthma attacks under control, as well as help with allergy-induced systemic inflammation. Long story short, I love being cold, it's my favorite sensation.)
You can keep all the holidays abroad I would honestly just prefer to stay in Britain and visit all the historical places and buildings we have here than lay by the beach

If priest holes is something else you want to look at, make a trip to harvington hall. It is an amazingly historical building.
Brave,l would be afraid of creepy crawlies
This is interesting
Are those ramps, all around the wading pool?
Interesting Queen Victoria was in the treehouse. Queen Elizabeth the second was sleeping in a tree house when her father died and she became Queen.
OK, Julie, are you thinking Victorian bathing costume is an appropriate must have now??

Julie, Where are your kids? 4? Wow!!
👏👏👏👏👏 😊 👍
Apologies if I missed this, but what is the kind of tree supporting the tree house?
In an earlier episode, they said it was a lime tree aka a linden
