Just to confirm, I did what you said… I turn the truck off remove the panel, pulled out the fuse and looked at it. It was still fine. I put the fuse back in started my truck, and now my microphone is working fricken Amazing!
Best video I’ve ever seen on RUclips! Not just because it fixed my problem, but you were right to the point and perfect in your explanation of what you did. I literally pulled the fuse out, blew on it like it was an old Nintendo 64 game, put it back in, and everything works perfectly. Thanks brother!!!
Glad it helped! N64? My 007 is still working right now zero bjs. But Contra on the NES... It takes some mighty strong lungs to make that baby load up. Sometimes gotta get the air compressor out haha
You saved me hundreds of dollars and five days of my car being in the shop to have the dealer in Van Nuys. Look at my stupid problem. This trick did it for me. Thank you bless your heart.
Worked like a charm; however, I broke the brackets on my mic, looking for the problem before I found this video. I would love a video of the mic install. I do appreciate the brief overview, and when the mic comes in, I'll see if I can knock that out as well. Cheers.
Found this video when the 2021 Yukon XL rental I picked up had no working microphone. Everything else (CarPlay, etc.) worked fine for playback, but nothing could pick up my voice (built-in Nav, CarPlay, etc). I did the factory reset, tried a different phone, had my wife try her phone/her voice. I tried tried yelling (maybe a little cussing). I could not find that same fuse so I pulled out everything that smelled like it had to do with the center infotainment (USB fuses, etc.). Specifically, I pulled the following out, let the car sit for about 7 hours, and poof. Microphone works. Hats off to you, @TopTepFenn. F3, F11, F12, F25, F26, F45, and F48
pull outward hard from the bottom. there are plastic inserts on the side facing the hood. pull in a hinge like fashion as not to brake the plastic tabs.
would not have thought to try this without this video, fixed my 16' canyon mic problem. Thank you!
