- We end up replacing the AC control Switch & it still didn’t fix the fan speed unfortunately. Then we go on and replace the rear end fluid.

The vibration could be one or a number of things. I own a 2000 classic and had a bad vibration, changed shocks, set the ride hight on the suspension( made sure drive line straight and not in a bind)and the sleeper. Changed the bearings on the rear ends. In the end it was a bad yoke on the rear diff. Check those things out. And if you change your yoke out make sure to put a new nut on. They are fine threaded and pretty much done after you remove them. As far as the clutch goes, I never had one cause a vibration problem. Your metal in the oil looks pretty normal.Oh yeah,, my ac did the same thing, all I did was change the switch and got all 4 speeds. But every rig and setup is different.
I got a work truck that is a Volvo and it is doing the same thing right now, don't sweat it, you figure it out and the truck is looking awsome can't wait to have my own some day
Had the same vibration problem. I changed two you joints and the carrier bearing. No more problems
Hey trucker Ak love watching your channel alot every day u are awesome RUclipsr and the amazing truck driver keep making awesome videos say safe and healthy with your family i hope this will get better soon so we can get back to normal life soon u my favorite RUclipsr 😀
blower motor resistor. chevy pickups are notorious for this too, and this is exactly what happens when they go bad
The joys of owning an older truck is stuff happens but that monthly doesn’t so don’t sweat it just fix one thing at a time. Your vibration is most likely not the diff they usually make noise but vibrations are hard to chase down. Good luck with it the only vibrations I’ve had with my classic was unjoints but you have them covered.
you doing just fine, keep it up! That XL is badass :
Thanks man
Hey AK. Just started watching your stuff a couple weeks back, and i love it.
You may know this, but your "favorite tunnels" on 285 where you always hit your Jakes on your way to Union City are actually two of the runways for Hartsfield International Airport.
Didn't know if you knew that or not.
Be safe, man.
Trucks looking good Nice work!! It's a labor of love. Your doing a fine job nothing wrong with wanting things to work like there supposed too!! Enjoyed the video's!! Be safe out there Brother Peace
Yeah it’s all part of the game but thank you !
Great video can't wait The next video👍
That is a normal amount of metal shavings on the magnets and it seem like the problem could be the clutch or the pilot bearing on the flywheel
thanks for the info
No problem bro
I will agree with this
I feel ya brotha, I’m the same way. I can feel the stress off ya lol
AK I going to tell you this no lie, Me and the brother in law had an FLD I pulled the front and rear AC apart and we replaced all the resistor's and I clean the coils front and rear I the rite way with coil cleaner then rinsed with water, but we also replaced with the artic freeze synthetic (Yeah High Dollar) and you couldn't hardly stay in that truck after it would get so cold at night's Take your time and just do it right! you really want to clean Look for a coil cleaner called Blue Max at a AC supply shop that distributes to AC shop's but you have to rinse with water if you want your coil's lol!
Hell yeah a new video
I tell others to loosen the fill in trans and diffs before the drain. Have had them towed in because owners couldn’t refill when the fill plug was frozen.
I chased a vibration for 5 years. Changed everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Ended up being a worn spindle on the rear axle. Vibrations are like ghosts. Good luck.
love this my dad use to drive trucks
My ac blower was doing the same thing. I switched the relay, and I got my 4 speed back. It's on top left roll. Mine was the 2nd, but numbers 2 and 3 control the ac blower. One is for 1,2, and 3 while the other is for 4. Hope this helps you.
My FLD had a wicked vibration that we could never Trace down and then one day we found it. Something was going wrong in the pinion area and it actually broke the pinion. So we put new u-joints in, a new ring and pinion and yolks on the rears
It’s the relay bro. Had the same exact issue on my 2000 FLD120
Samo napred buraz
You ever thought about changing the U-Joints and carrier bearing? A lot of times that’s what caused vibrations in any of my trucks
AK I watched 1 of your video's with you tilting the steering wheel, anyway I have a 1995 fld120 classic and maybe you can tell where to find that bolt you took off your neck of steering wheel.
That's normal wear what was on the magnets. To really address the issue is pull out the whole pumpkin physically inspect all the gears and bearings. Check axle bearings flush it all out a simple oil swap won't tell you anything unless chunks cone out. I replaced 2 front rears before I learned it was the drive shaft and yolk was slightly off balance and misaligned. I was chewing up bearings.
Wow a RV truck
100% relay I did it before 3 days
I am hoping you replace carrier bearing
Have you checked the resistor
Change that melted plug. Speed 1-3 go through the resistor, speed 4 get full battery volts. I had the same issue and it was the melted plug.
so im guessing i should just cut off the ends and put new ends on it
@@TruckerAK that’s what I did
You are gonna have metal in you oil. Vibration could be many things. Drive shaft, U joints, ring gear , transmission , or clutch
I fixed the drive shaft completely and trans is a reman i put in last year and the u joints are new but i didnt have the vibration i think until i put the alliance clutch
Check position 3 and see if its 12v.
Where did u get that ignition key
That's fuzz,no worries
For the amount of miles that are probably on that truck, that's probably normal doesn't look bad that all on that rear
How are those continental HDL2 tires holding up ?
they are doing pretty decent my next set will probably be bridgestones
Has anyone changed spring bushing lately?
Put some lucas in the rears
If your not sure about the vibration. Get ya an old school driver to roll with you or take your truck for a spin and try to figure it out. I'd hate for you to spin the money on something that's not the problem.
Where did you get those dash, panels
Rip it up customs look it up on facebook guy custom makes em
Check your engine mounts, that will cause a vibration
Chassis really needs a good degreasing and power wash …the old girl is looking shabby kinda …hopefully you get a nice step deck to pull maybe a new one I hope
I like custom trucks and cars
But omg that plastic Crome stuff cost so much
Also wouldn’t three be enough??
Dang man I must’ve missed something because I don’t remember dashboard that color .
Oops asked before watching the whole video
👍😃😁✌️
Thought you switched to step deck???
Im in the process still trying to buy equipment and stuff
Grease throw out bearings
Possible relay
Same issue on my classic still cant figure it out 🤬🤬
If you run out of ideas, get your driveshaft checked - after awhile they will bend -- your truck is pretty old - it might need replaced..
Just watched some older videos-- looks like you covered that - my bad
Bro. Double check your ride height. Before you spend the big $$$
i did i set it freightliner spec 2 & 5/8s
@@TruckerAK I thought you might have done a video about that once. But I wasn’t sure.
I don’t kno what the spec is. But I have had problems. With that. Either way it’s all part of the game. Best of luck with it , my man.
Gentry and sons Use a heavy duty farm equipment clutches they are the best
Can't believe that the clutch is gone already. You never said how many miles are on the rears. If you can get a good set of 342s. I would put them in instead of another clutch. Probably the rears are just worn out. Of course you won't know until you take them out. Just Saying.
I think the clutch was bad the day it was put in i think the shop i had do it messed something up
Go buy a new rig and call it a day. Lots of good paying loads around and you need good equipment to run steady. Open an LLC and go for it man! Thanks for uploading all these videos. Ziv bio i samo nastavi!
Dont ever go and buy a new rig..that would be a huge mistake lol
355. or 373

You need a rack to pull dry van? 🤦🏼♂️
If you were a perfectionist you would put that blower access panel down on the bottom
No reason to put it on if the AC isn’t fixed yet
Whatever you say hero
Actually I was first
Who cares
Am first here
