Obsidian has a thing with annoying priest characters who make you want to throw them down a cliff. Seriously Xoti, by the time you have met Pallegina you should have an idea of how right she is about the gods.
Not necessarily. For some reason, Pallegina and potentially the Watcher (if you play a passionate nay-theist) are the only two reoccurring characters to come out of Sun-In-Shadow being upfront about what they saw and heard. For some reason, even cynic-version Eder tip-toes around the subject with her (mostly because he's somewhat embarrassed of how he used to act and sound, on top of all of this and how it contributed to the Saint's War). Autonomy-Aloth will only make inside snarks and references to the Watcher about the gods, not full blown misotheist like Pallegina can be. At best, Aloth, Eder and the player character are alatristic. I kept getting the impression Sun-In-Shadow is treated by your group of older companions as an inside only, 'you had to be there' experience. Naturally, not everyone is going to believe your ragtag group of Engwithan ruin divers yelling about the gods being constructs because the Engwithans couldn't handle a little cosmic absurdity and nothingness.
I still upset that we got this naive and downright unreasonable priest and a narcissist entitled waterboy with confusing moral compass as a full-fledged companion. Ydwin and Rekke deserved those seat way more than them.
Nah Tekehu is a giga-chad characyer if only for his one conversation with vela alone. Although to be real I wish they did more with his character Huana wise. We kinda got a glimpse when he seen how shit the Huana way of life really is for the majority of his people, which he never would have known since he is basically a minor demi-god in the eyes of the Huana and treated as one.
Xoti reminds me too much of the fanatics down here in the bible belt of the USA, they're fine so long as someone shares their beliefs, but the moment someone challenges those beliefs in any way they turn hostile.
I haven't gotten very far.. But.. Is there really no way to tell Xoti that the "gods" are a fabrication? Yes, the constructs are powerful but they aren't almighty and they sure as shit aren't infallible.
Why is this idea trying to tell a Watcher what happens to souls? Hell, don't all faiths acknowledge the wheel and the cycle of reincarnation? Why is she on about damnation and ruination as if there's a Hell in this thing?
So many fanatics among our companions in POE2. Pallegina and her "republicz'. Xoti and her 'holy mission oh my Ghaun' . Maia and her rauatai. All women. Its fun to watch them arguing though. I imagine Aloth and Eder are constantly facepalming during these ladies conversations xD
that is until you touch upon ANYTHING bad about Huana. Godforbides when you trying to comment on how retarded Huana's social caste system is and that their superstitious traditions allow sacrifices and deaths.
Like Aloth's much better. He's my fave but you sat a word about animancy and woof. Here comes the dog fight. Then on top of that he can be the leader of a radixal religious organization in POE2 so there's that.
Why is the only Priest option as a companion and sidekick so annoying and with such a cringeworthy accent? There's a couple of spots in POE that you can sacrifice a companion... we'll see if there's one in Deadfire because I finally have a companion I'd toss down the pit.
A little too eager and excitable. Plus the accent, plus the fanatical faith, which I guess the preachy part should be expected from a priest. I've been playing my main as a Kind Wayfarer Paladin/Eothasian Priest and it looks like I can get by on Veteran without a dedicated Priest. On the other hand, I can easily make due without a Cipher n my party but Serafen is just way too fun of a character to leave behind.
@@ger5565If you read the class descriptions in PoE 1, they make it clear that priests are not regular people, just like Paladins. Their powers require a level of zeal that goes beyond reason. In that regard, both Xoti and Pallegina fit quite well.

atleast Durance was entertaining..
Man, I love these interactions! Don't often hear companions in games dig into each other this hard.
I like how calm pallegina is, in contrast to how loud xoti is when angry hahah
Wow, geeze... I am so through with a Xoti romance. She dared insult my Pallegina.
Xoti is a lot more charming when she's angry.
Its like listening to rabid dogs barking at each other
More like one yappy dog and one tired italian mall cop trying to read from a newspaper.

My first reaction : okay....good thing I have diplomacy skill I am going to hire priest adventure replace xoti before two of them start a crusade
This dialogue tree giving me ptsd with that southern accent
Xoti was the first person I scrapped...

The exact same can be said of the most vocal anti-theists that will preach their lack of belief like missionaires of misery.
@@silverblade357 true, I've never come across one of those people but I Imagine that they are just as bad if not worse.

There isn't. There was no character development left to hand out when her turn came.

She can't accept that anyone else's beliefs are different than her own. Sounds like a lot of people I know 🤔
Which is so wierd because Pallegina is the one with the Crusader-build!

Dan Danovich Tekehu best companion.

@@mickymcbryan4814 hes at least calmed down on that this game, even made some friends amongst them
I like to think they'd be asking how the Devil of Caroc, a serial killer in a robot body, was more agreeable than most of the women!
God this was tense

Gerald McBride What?! I love Xoti, she's great
