  • Violet Melody is a composition written by a fellow RUclips pianist, Patrik Pietschmann. I love this piece's rich harmony and flowing melody. I would definitely recommend checking out Patrik's channel. Remember to like and subscribe, and let me know if there's any songs you would like to see uploaded.

    A perfect cover, this’s really sounds like his playing. I particularly love this one and Anni’s Ballad from Patrik’s composition. I hope I’ll be able to play his music like you one day, not just a listener :D

    Nice👏! Could you cover more songs from Patrik's original works? For example from his album "feelings and melodies"? These ones are so beautiful 🙏

    Well played!! You really did this great song justice. I think you might also enjoy playing "green rythms" by patrik pietschman. At least I very much enjoyed playing it ;)

    This is a great performance, though I must bring up that you are playing a wrong note at 1:31 and every other time that that descending riff thing plays. With the first one, you are playing G, F#, B, when it should be, G, E, B. Similar with the other inversion played 2 measures later, where you play C, B, E, when it should be C, A, E. This is minor, but I thought I'd point it out as it clearly wasn't a playing mistake, rather a reading / memorizing mistake. Or potentially just because you liked how it sounded.

      Thanks! A bit after this video was uploaded, I realized this mistake, but I didn’t feel like recording another take and re-uploading the video since I felt that the rest of it was pretty good. Thanks for the tip though!

      @@gammaraze5834 Yeah! It just kind of threw me off as I learned this piece rather recently. You working on anything at the moment?

      Right now I’m finishing up The Black Star by Musicalbasics, and that video should be up next week. I’m also starting to write another song, but that’s in its beginning stages for now. Do you have a suggestion?

      @@gammaraze5834 Not exactly, though Patrik's arrangement of Oogway Ascends would be cool.

    beautiful! I’m just starting to play this piece, how did you go about learning it? as in sections at a time, separating the different hands’ parts, etc.?

    • @gammaraze5834
      @gammaraze5834  4 года назад

      Thanks! This probably isn’t a good answer, but I just kind of just learned it by listening to it a bunch of times lol. This song is very pattern-based (lots of arpeggios and arpeggio variations) so I would try to get down the patterns for each hand individually, then work on playing the melody at the same time. It might help to play it sections at a time, but personally, I learn by listening to and thinking of the song as a whole. Everyone learns differently though. Good luck!
