I have the fc3000 and absolutely love it. This will definitely be the next purchase on my long list of things to get LOL. I’m currently using a mars oversized 2 x 2 and the coverage is absolutely phenomenal.the fc4800 and fc6500 are both going to be up and coming soon purchases...
I've used Spider SF series and the Mars FCE series; they are nearly identical and plants love them both! Whatever you choose you'll be happy you're doing next gen lighting. The biggest advantage of bar design vs boards is that if a bar goes out you can replace it or the driver. When the board and driver are integrated as one single part, often with rivets, you can't do anything if something fails. I like that I can actually repair my unit. Not that I've had to yet, because Mars does quality work.
Big thank you for this high quality video!
I really appreciate your videos. They are a wealth of knowledge and a great reference.
Love my Mars 600!💚✌
great video, really awesome testing gadgets Justin
Thanks dude 👍🏼
Justin great content great video like always I always check you out before I buy some your the man thanks
Thanks!
Those lights are so good, even Amazon can't keep them in stock. The price point for that piece of gear is killing the game right now for sure, I got 4 of those bad boys :)
@Samuel Emrit genetics play a huge role. But I got 2.15 GPW dried and cured.
Could you run the light at 12 inches, turn the power down get the same ppf and even coverage with this light.
Another good reveiw.
Thanks!
I give you props on the fact you use the proper size tent ! Mr Grow it review a (150) watt. 1500 in a 4x4 and uses a corner. Like really lol
Hey we all gotta do what we gotta do. I have tested plenty of 2x2 lights in a 2x4 because that's what I had.
Awesome bro .....
Awesome !!
oh nice this is the next light i was planning to buy
@@indoormagicgrows9486 Justintime2grow coupon code for HLG, Justin or J2G for mars. Lots more on my website.
@@Justintime2grow I bought the light, tried using your codes but they didnt work on the mars hydro uk site unfortunately, still got a bargain cos its the 420 sale atm
I just picked this up for my 3x3. They had a limited time deal and allowed me to use a discount code. This will be replacing my old ts3000. It worked great in the 3x3 but i think its time for a upgrade, if its even better idk yet
I ran this in a 5x5 with incredible results! I did add an FC-3000 for the 2nd half of flowering. Mostly ran at 50% and pushed it to 75% mid day sometimes.. I did notice more heat on 100% compared to 75% which is why i didn't run it at 100%..
I think It would be a very good lamp for a 5x5 tent, for my opinion is too much light for a 3x3 Bro, thx a lot for all your reviews, because of you I bought a Tsw 2000 and I am happy with the result, it's my first Led lamp, thx..🌿👍🌿👍
Nope 4x4 it’s perfect
Is there a placebo effect on the plants when you turn up it to 100% from 75%
That should do nicely for my 1m x 1m tent, been looking for a replacement
for me the same! lol
Spider farmer SE5000 is nice too I been eyeing that one it’s the same but with uv and ir
Hey nice video man! I wanted to get your opinion on this. Do you think this would be good for a 3x4? I can't get any test for this tent size anywhere, and I know you got one just like mine (with 3 sections). I removed the divider to open it completely! ✌ thanks! oh and if it's not enough, I also got a few SF1000 I could supplement light with if it's not enough. thanks again!!
Yes it would be fine, might dip to 550-600 at the 4' edge.
A decent review
Got mine yesterday its a great light looks like they sent u the older model as newer one I have has uv
They sent me this one a few months ago so it's possible.
Either way great review 👍🏾
@@hornz22 Thanks. The difference in a few diodes won't make much difference either way. Especially in this 3x3 lol. Technically it's marketed as a 4x4 light but I'd rather see it in a 3x3 personally.
@@Justintime2grow yeah I totally agree mines in a 3x3 hopefully get the big dense colas lol
The other 25% is for when you add nitrous and turbo
Do you know how much % is 400watt on the Dimmer ?
Its a great spectrum.
Mars kills it with the spectrum.
hahahaha fucking hilarious! i want one just for the microfiber cloth! the light looks sick too!
would one of these and two tsl 2000's be enough light for a 4×8 in flower, or would you add a little more? a few sp 150's maybe?
It should be enough to get a decent crop but the sides will be a little lower in the 500-600 par range. Good coverage in the majority of the tent.
how much is this one? I actually may go back to Mars.
thanks for the great video bro . very good content . can you please tell me the name of your par / spectrum device?
thanks, it's a hopoocolor OHSP-350P amzn.to/3tazKp3
I got it cheaper direct from the manufacturer in hong kong but amazon has a great return policy if for some reason you dont like it.
What tent is that?
What par meter is that ?
Can you please tell us what the meter was that you used to test light. It had a color display with graphical information on light output in all spectrums.
It’s a $1200 par meter with spectrometer. Hopoocolor ohsp-350p
@@Justintime2grow ty brother
Looking for help can’t find any reviews on this hydro crunch 4x4 tent that came with 2 600 watt led I guess you’d call them blurple lights although they look more pink to me, anyone ever used this set up before and if so how’s it go?
I have a 3x3 with a 1000 watt rohs don't know actual draw wattage same with my blurple 1500 watt and I definately can say a 400 watt hps light would have rocked that tent or a 2x4 I'm not impressed with so called cheap lights they ain't cheap when if I saved my money I could buy this light you see what I mean
Would the hlg 650R be a better decision for a light? it's the same price as this light in canada
Yes 👍🏼
oh shit, testing the big boy
The big boy is the 6500 lol.
@@Justintime2grow i would buy that light but i only got a closet and a 2x3 Tent. the osram red diode's are better. and that is why they upgraded to them. That's why i like Mars hydro, they are like Honda, you get a good deal, not the best in the business, but they always perform good.
Is it exactly 36"x36" that tent because mine is 34"x34" and wonder if that light fits
Yeah it's 36x36
Nice! Is that a phuturprimitive remix at the intro??? Love that music!
Thank you for the detailed reviews! This one is pricey! In your honest opinion, is this any different than the BESTVA BP4000 LED you reviewed later?
Mars is pricey? That's a first lol. Yes bar lights are better in many ways than board lights. Boards are a bit older design. Some companies still do boards well like HLG and Grandmaster LED but it's mostly bars taking over.
@@Justintime2grow Probably seemed pricey because I'm still new to growing and what everything costs. Thank you!
@@Nice-music585 Mars is considered more of a budget to mid range brand depending on model.
Soo, Is this the best for a 3 x 3 ? For the money ?
4x4
So u think u could run 4 auto flower plants with it
What version is that mine has blue and red and Uv diodes?
This one was a few months back.
@@Justintime2grow I sent you an email with video of my fc-4800
Can you sent me an video to?
Holy driver batman, wonder how hot that thing gets
I show that in the video, no need to wonder.
I have a 4X8 what do you suggest I should use
For mars 2 FC 6500.
Others:
2 HLG Scorpion diablo
2 Chilled x5 or x6
2 Growers Choice ROI-E680 or 720
2 Spider Farmer SF-4000 or 7000
There are a lot of options really. Discount codes for all these on my website in the description.
Hey man ! any chance you can do a review about lumatek product ? Like the zeus 465pro for a 4*4 ? Cheers
Tell them to send one. I only review the lights companies send. I don’t ask.
What brand tent is the 3x3 ? Thanks 👍
It's plant house from growers house. growershouse.com/plant-house-indoor-grow-tent-3-x-3-x-73/?aff=47
@@Justintime2grow Thank You Sir, Appreciate it.
Hej try the new fc-e3000 in 2.5x2.5 tent
It'll probably make its way here eventually. I have a 27"x27" tent.
👍
"Excellent fitment"
75% (somehow 100%?) power, 1,119 PAR.
Yeah, nah. I wouldn't suggest one of these for a 3' x 3', without CO2.
Badass light though. ✌😆🌿
Knob was not on straight. I’ve since fixed it. I regularly run 900-1200 par without co2.
This light kills in my 4x4 also.
Deamlight
I don't see any light diodes
I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t disclose which Samsung and bridgelux diodes they are using. Sketchy to me.
I think the cloth is for my tears when dealing with their warranty department.
😎9️⃣
how many tents do u have holy shhhhhhhhhhh
2x2
2x3 - 2x2+1x2+1x2 separate spaces
3x3
4x4
5x5
nice nice.... this is a nice one. for sure.
Some crappy warranty for a $600 light
At least the FC series uses name brand parts that really should not fail. Their FCE series not so much.
Red light.
You better run co2.
You can at these lighting levels but I don't. I run well over 1000 PPFD regularly. Never use CO2.
The dial wasn't set to minimum before the knob went on. It made for tampered results. In no way your fault but should have caught that the knob went below min.
Meh, no way of knowing that. They may all be like this. Either way I gave the ratings in a very traslatable way. Just add 25% to every value since it maxes at 75%. Or you can just go by wattage I showed as a watt meter is much cheaper than a par meter.
You're absolutely right! And I'm sure it should be really easy to fix that by popping out the knob, turning the dial to minimum and aligning back the knob over the 0% line. 👍
@@fabricantdarbres Unless the whole potentiometer is off line. A lot of times knobs only go on one way.
@@Justintime2grow No disrespect. I dig what you doing. I used this channel as a buying guide and it's filled with solid info. Your efforts are appreciated.
@@Justintime2grow I must admit, it is also a possibility! I guess there's only one way to know 😉
488 is not too much for any step of the grow. The plant requires as close as possible to 1500 for veg and flower to be as close as possible to sunlight conditions (without extra co2). Do the DLI math you'll see
I don’t need math when I have experience at these levels. You should try that maybe.
You’re trippin
overkill
Maybe if you don't like high yields and quality. I run 900-1200 PAR in my flower tent. Higher than this can do.
I'm not looking to create a popcorn farm here.
@@Justintime2grow Try an FC6500 in a 2 by 2 professor, lol.
@@nowhereman6130 Well it is a folder.....😉
Exactly what i was looking for. Peolle ignore the nuances. Its built for a 4x4 but would perform perfectly. A 3x3 light wouldn't get the proper full coverage the entire way.
