I have a 2020 platium awd and love it. CVT transmission is for a retired person who do not care about going fast out of a bend or turn. That's why I like a murano since 2003 the 3.5 engine is proven to be bullet proof. Nissan put this engine in most of it's vehicles for years! For me, it's not about how fast the car can go, no not at all, it's all about going from from point A to point B in comfort, and that's all what the cars was invented for.
I have a 2015 Murano and I LOVE it. Best car I ever owned. Great gas mileage on highway. Super comfortable on long trips. I think getting another one this year.
Well even Toyotas and Hondas aren't as reliable as they once were. Between Toyotas recalls and Hondas oil dilution. I just think the Murano is their most reliable per consumer reports. The Rogue and Pathfinder seem to have more tranny problems overall.
Greetings. This is our third experience with Nissan and we can't fault it including a 2000 Xterra with over 250k miles and it came out great. I just bought this model, I hope to continue with the same positive impression. congratulations for the video
While I'd be angling for the Maxima, this is pretty cool. I don't understand why the Murano is so unpopular. From the outside, she's unlike most crossovers/SUVs on the market today. And she's got the powerplant to go with her sporty looks.
The CVT has damaged Nissans reputation, which can only be redeemed by getting rid of it. The cramped interior is a problem too, which the Maxima also suffers from. Which doesn’t makes sense since considered a full size car. They should also divorce themselves from Renault as fast as possible (ala Mazda/Ford).
Imagine buying a car that is a bigger suv and still using the same brake size as an Altima, constant issues with brakes and wheel bearings, can't forget nissans a/c compressor issues, mass air flow and cvt issues.
Great review as always! My wife has a 2017 Murano and absolutely loves it. No issues at all. I wish they come up with a redo for it like the Pathfinder. But a terrific vehicle!

I absolutely love how you present your vehicles. But you know what would add that extra sauce that I don’t think anybody else does. 1. Let us know if the DC outlet and USB’s still function when the vehicle is off. 2. Let us know if the radio stays on after the vehicle is shut off. Two things I currently hate about the Altima I drive now. I would love to know if vehicles have or not have these options.
I own a 2018 Murano Platinum. 1. DC/USB's power off when the engine is off. 2. Radio also turns off when vehicle is off. Only differences between 2018 to the 2022 is exterior styling is a little different from the lights and grille, and they added that USB-C port starting in 2019. Otherwise it's pretty much unchanged. My dad has a 2021 Rogue Platinum and they also do the same thing, I'm thinking it's a Nissan thing to shut everything off once the vehicle is powered off. For me personally, not a dealbreaker at all, although my only complaint would be that the CVT transmission can make the ride a bit dull and doesn't take full advantage of the V6. However, the absolute comfort makes up for my only complaint. I love the Murano and did not regret buying it!

Never understood the hate for the Murano. I always thought it looked sleek and futuristic. But I do hope they upgrade the interior soon with a new generation
Probably because it uses a CVT, so towing capacity is very low. The V6 VQ engine has been around since the early 2000s and without any major updates. Last but not least, when fully loaded, it gets very expensive.
@@jul5385 But why tow with a Murano? It’s clearly a family vehicle/daily driver. To me a more rugged vehicle is what you would use to tow with. The third Gen Murano is in its 9th model year without significant changes. That's VERY long in the tooth in this segment. Not sure what the sales figures were for 2021 but I'd guess they were near the bottom. My answer to your question about whether it's possible that the Murano is disappearing forever would be yes....

Work at the Nissan dealer in 2017, still same exact car! That’s 5 years! Nissan dropped every ball possible it’s sad. Gtr, S chassis, maxima, xtera had a lot of cool cars back in the day
When I saw Midnight Edition I perked up as we own a 2021 Pilot Black Edition. I was amazed that the Murano edition was so basic.
The Murano and Maxima really have a great look. It's a shame what they did to the Rogue, and the Altima just looks like a Dollar General Maxima. The Midnight Edition Murano looks great, but it's always looked pretty good.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
I agree. No need for the silver chrome!
So very true!
The third Gen Murano is in its 9th model year without significant changes. That's VERY long in the tooth in this segment. Not sure what the sales figures were for 2021 but I'd guess they were near the bottom. My answer to your question about whether it's possible that the Murano is disappearing forever would be yes....
Abouth 50,000 sold in the US for 2021.
This is so very true!
Does anyone have a third gen murano with high mileage? I’m hesitant about the CVT, but used these are $10k less than anything else comparably sized and equipped
