A great thing about Ireland is that nothing is extreme. There are no tornados, tsunamis, hurricanes, monsoons, earthquakes etc. There are no deathly animals or insects. You don't get bitten by mosquitos. It's never extremely hot, but it's also rarely extremely cold ! We literally have nothing to worry about 😄

You should never ever drink out of a hot tap. The hot water comes from a different source than the cold water, thats why they have two taps. In a kitchen the cold tap is always drinkable water, the hot tap is rarely drinkable. It normally sits in a tank, and in the tank bacteria can form. This is rare and you could go your whole life drinking from the hot water tap but should be avoided. When it comes to a bathroom, the cold tap might not be safe to drink, if you dont know drink from kitchen cold tap instead. The cold tap in the bathroom might be linked to drinking water or a cold water tank. Normally if the bathroom has two taps then it means you can probably drink the cold water, use it while brushing your teeth, washing out your mouth, etc etc.

Hi! Thanks a mill for sharing this useful information!
I was doing some research after filming this video and found out this info as well. Looks like the water on the hot tap is not safe for drinking and cooking so it's best to avoid it.
I've also heard that the tank with hot water should be permanently cleaned, something that people might not know about.

I've been watching a lot of RUclips Videos since the isolation of the pandemic, and one day I noticed one of your vlogs about cultural differences in Ireland. Having been to Ireland a couple of times and visiting Dublin on both occasions, I checked out your vlog out of curiosity. I am Irish American and have dual citizenship of Ireland and U.S.A., and also have an Irish Passport, which is now a Euro Passport, and I always use when traveling in Europe because it gets me through check-points faster by not having to wait in longer lines for non European citizens. I found all of your observation to be very interesting, both the positive and the negative, and also your assimilation process. The info you convey about all phases of living in Ireland, it's economy, politics, business environment, etc. are of great interest to me, especially coming from a person who grew up in the East. Now I have viewed some of your vlogs on your side trips to other locations in Ireland, thus learning new sites I must visit the next time I travel there. Your other vlogs about survival matters are also interesting but are life dynamics that fortunately I'm way past in my own life. So make more vlogs on points of interest that you travel to in Ireland, because I'm writing them down to remember for my next trip there.

Hi Anamaria, there are a lot of videos by foreigners commenting on life in Ireland, the good , and the bad. One of the topics that always comes up for criticism is the climate. Don't live in Ireland if you need sun, go to Miami for example where the sun beats down relentlessly all year round and where the authorities do massive spraying to control the mosquitos. You are the first person to mention this so important point. You cannot open windows to get fresh air in Spain , Mexico, South America and most if not all of Europe. What a terrific bonus not to have mosquitos. I have lost a complete nights sleep because of mosquitos in all of those countries. Look at the geographical position of Ireland on the edge of Europe facing the Atlantic , that is the climate you will get. Spain on the other hand is losing vast amounts of land to desertification because of lack of rain. The Norwegians say there is no bad weather ,only bad clothing. Your english is vey good. Did you get to that standard in Ireland. With three languages and being also very attractive physically I guess you have a pretty good job, what do you do if that is not to personal a question.

    • @AMEditionYT
      @AMEditionYT  4 года назад +2

Hi!!! Thank you! I wasn't expecting the mosquitos can be such a huge problem, but it's interesting to see a comparison between different countries! :)
I think all these points are very individual as well as we all had different experiences and have different goals and things we like. I was just sharing my point of view and hope that this can help people who want to move or travel to Ireland.
Thanks for the nice words :) lovely to read! Yeah, I worked and studied a lot to have a good management position and good work experience :)
      Hope you're doing well!

I've watched your video about things you don't like about Ireland, I just need to clarify: I have lived in the Netherlands for 5 years, and I have been in Ireland for 16 years, I have family in Poland, Italy, Spain, UK, Norway, and I can verify that Ireland is a great country to live in, our salaries are the same, or even higher than those from Netherlands, UK and Germany, which are very expensive countries. Rent prices in Dublin are a real problem, but so is in Amsterdam, London and they are as expensive, London is dearer, and Dublin's salaries are similar to London's salaries. I don't know where you work, but your comments about low salaries are incorrect, unless you work in a shop, or do some sort of entry level job, then yes, Dublin is not for you. But outside Dublin is cheaper, I live an hour away from Dublin, and my mortgage for a 4 bedroom house is €650. I pay €550 for car insurance, when I was 25 with a foreign licence I have paid €1200, taxes for the salaries you might be on are not 40% taxed, you pay 20% income tax for salaries up to €35500 for a single person and up to €44000 each for married people, the rest is taxed at 40%, you also pay PRSI, and USC, which combine makes 6%, you also get €3300 per year back in tax credits divided monthly in your salary. The average blue collar salary is €35K, construction workers earn over €50K. IT salaries where I work are higher than London, Netherlands, or Germany, nearly at the triple digits. Perhaps you need to re-evaluate your job, or get a higher education, which would be nearly free for people over 23 years old. In Ireland, specially in Dublin, entry level jobs might not be as good, but middle to higher levels are higher than most European countries.

You are right, although what I found was that it’s harder to find a job in Dublin above the 150k mark (base) than it was in Amsterdam. Also in the Netherlands you have the 30% ruling while in Ireland you have nothing, only SARP which is unusable. The tax credits you get in Ireland are shit for higher salaries. They tax shares (RSUs) as normal income and destroy you in taxes. Also, they tax you for shares which are vested although you haven’t sold them which should be illegal since it’s unrealized gains…

I do not know what roads you have been driving on in Ireland saying they are great, probably the new motorways and bypasses. The old roads in Ireland are just as bad as Polish or eastern block roads. The weather may be mild but that means that the summers are a mix of a little sun and mist and the spring, autumn and winter are wet but not very cold. As you have mentioned that there is nothing to do outside Dublin I would suggest you seeing some of the countryside and especially the panoramic west coast Atlantic. Other places you should visit are Cork and Galway cities which are cheaper than Dublin but with everything that Dublin has. As you say, the majority of the people are warm and welcoming. Enjoy your stay.

Ireland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Our beautiful Island has amazing people, scenery, hotels, restaurants, shopping, castles, and education to name but a few. At this time of Covid 19 we have an amazing Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Health Minister Simon Harris who are leading our country. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who returned to help Ireland and to those who have been here. Our population has been amazing too, following the difficult guidelines. May Ireland be even more beautiful after Covid 19.

Agenda 21 (depopulation (Eugenics) via Vaccines & 5G). UN Agenda 2030, u own nothing & are controlled by 'social credits' like China.

Bottle water here is from council tap water. Also we do pay for water. A new state company called "Irish Water" charges for water and they took over the water infrastructure from councils who ran it into the ground with poor investments and upkeep. Water is cheap. In the past you paid for water through Motor TAX. Strange I know.
Buisnesses pays more for water than residential homes. Water charges are often part of the rent when renting. If your house is connected to the sewer system you pay for that usage.
We do have mosquitos in Ireland. They are a tiny size here. We call them "midgets" and they like been near water bodies under the shade of trees, especially the evening. They do bite.

The most toxic mosquitos probably live in Ukraine lol) After the bite you will have a swollen spot for days and it will itch like hell. In the UAE, mosquitos are harmless so you can barely feel the bite and it will go away next morning. My friend from Sudan also told me they are constantly terrorized by local mosquitos that develop malaria.

There are many wonderful things about the US but it has been infected by political discord and Americans appear unable to have a civil conversation with people who disagree with them. It is a festering sore which is destroying the country in my opinion. There is also a massive wealth gap and a great deal of poverty as well dilapidated infrastructure. I found American people really lovely though, very friendly and hospitable and it has wonderful cities and awesome and varied countryside.

Snow is marginal in Ireland. You might get some light snow in winter, but it's not guaranteed. however every 25 to 30 years nature dumps all the snow we didn't get on top of us and the country simply shuts down because we cant handle it. Our mild climate is a result of the gulf stream which bathes us in water from the tropics. after all our latitude is 55 degrees north.
