This is not new it has just gotten worse thanks to what is going on in social media that never ends when it comes to any political post that has endless links, copying of the same comments and posts endlessly, the use of bots, fighting, arguing, and memes that trigger people to continue have heated debates. That is not all. There are never-ending political interjections where politics do not belong and are irrelevant including in chat activity of live streams that do not have admins and mods keeping the chat activity from getting out of control including political interjections getting out of control. Even comments from anybody who posts anything that has nothing to do with politics and not even political at all have political interjections. Offline, people are arguing and get into fights over politics as well as go to extremes including damage to property or someone ending up being injured or worse over politics. That is why there are voters. Cast votes not bashing people over politics. Not registered to vote? Register to vote. Who cares what people say. It is what is on the ballot that matters to vote. Not voting is the same as voting no and being silent. There is an increase in voters not going to vote in November because of the political turmoil. That will mean their voices will be silent and automatically vote no for the entire ballot. Then, people will complain more as a result of voters not voting or voting no on the entire ballot as well as get upset over the choice for voters not to vote leading up to the problems persisting or new problems arising.
TL;DR: The less you use social media, the better your mental health is
