Just a little piece of advice. For me to get this lens to work with my Canon m50 mark ii I had to go into my camera settings and change a setting to get it to work. They don't tell you this anywhere. You have to enable the shutter
I have a Viltrox 23mm 1.4 e-mount with updated firmware, on my Sony a6600 I have some problems with AF-C (even in AF-S actually) but only when I use the camera vertically. I state that I tested the problem even in perfect daylight conditions. But let's get to the point. If horizontally The focus is almost always perfect, a marvel! in portrait mode it is almost never right, it starts a focus breathing loop, constantly, with small and very fast movements, even having the square in the person's eye .. and when it finally confirms, the focus is wrong or slightly wrong and , only rarely, completely right. Has anyone else had this experience?
same issue here. Almost pulsating as it is looking for the correct setting. But, could also be some issue with the lens searching through aperture ranges also ? Did you ever get it resolved?
@@ChristopherBurress Should I consider this lens over Sigmas if I really like the focal length ? I know Sigmas produce more sharp and creamy bokeh but they dont have this focal length. What would you do if you were at my place ? I want it for Travel and Cinematic videos !!
Sigma is always remarkable for their build and image quality. If you want the focal length of the viltrox you will not be disappointed by going with it instead of sigma.
Not everyone knows what "send it to the viltrox" means. You didn't show what you did. Never assume your audience is as savvy as you are. If they were, they probably wouldn't watch the video.
@@ChristopherBurress Thanks Christopher. I’m still using that 18-105 I procured from you last year. I bought the Sony Bluetooth remote and really enjoying being able to zoom without the on lens controls. I really want to try out the anamorphic lens you reviewed. That may be next on my list.

Thanks for sticking around dude!
How is the chromatic Aberations on this lens. Is it terrible? I want this for videos. Will it ruin my shots??
This lens performed very well across every metric considering the price.

@@ChristopherBurress Ok thanks for guiding 😁
I will go with the viltrox. This will be my first lens with A6400.
Whats the file name for firmware ??
Slower is more cinematic. Better imo.

Good Point! I had the same question.
