www.neilfiore.com, I choose to start vs. I have to get it done Summary of upcoming Webinars on Overcoming Procrastination and Optimal Productivity, Stress & Time Management
Just finished The now habit, halfway through your book I noticed drastic changes in my behavior, by the time I was almost finished with the book, I completed 4 hours of work when for a year I was unable to even finish a 15 minute task most days. I tried therapy, becoming a "morning person", sheer will. Nothing worked. For me, the chapter called "The unschedule" is what did the trick for me. This book is a bible to procrastinators.
I had read you mantra and I cannot understand next text "Allow your mind to roam over a typical day" what did you mentioned by roam ? If I'm not fun of social networks and films or video games, but I'm a fun of software engineering and during a typical day I have 1-2-3 ideas for startups. should I stop and write them down? it's just an idea that cannot generate money, but I invest my time into development of this idea - I may earn revenue in a future, but might be I may loose a time for nothing. how should I rework this issue? currently I'm using GTD and it saying that I have to write down and put it out to a folder called for Weekly review and at the weekend to decide whether I still need in. and because of that I'm spending/loosing 2hrs from existing 6hrs - is there better solution?
