The reason I like this exact one is the speed variable, its on the main playing screen and when you slow it down, it makes subwoofers hit way lower. Like completly drops the hz down but somehow the voices stay same pitch. Super wierd but i love that. I got 18s so I can just make my bass as deep as I want. lol
My issue has been that when I separated all the mp3 files into separate folders and placed them on the device, the separate folders do not show up. Rather, it just shows ALL the files in one huge playlist. Which with 400+ filed will be impossible - I'm new at this and simply don't know how else to get these files to separate.

How does it do for audiobooks? Will it keep your bookmark while listening to a longer track? Very tempted to buy one for myself and one for my 5yo daughter. We don’t do screens but if she had a way to listen to her audiobooks without the bulky library CDs, that’d be fantastic. And if I got one of these honestly I’d happily ditch the smartphone, I miss my flip!
I was hoping that you would have at least recorded the sound output from the 3.5mm jack, as I bought a cheap 32GB MP3 player (about the same price as this), it distorts if you change the EQ settings, it has absolutely no low end response, it does get pretty loud, but with absolutely no low end response it's like you're listening from a speaker with only mids and highs, now if I'm using Bluetooth the sound has lows, but the distortion heard from the 3.5mm output is there when you change the EQ setting from anything that's not off.

Hi, mine stopped linking to my PC after 3 weeks. I use Windows 10 laptop. When I connect the cable to the USB of my laptop, it starts charging but no longer offers me a link for file sharing. Can you suggest something? Thank you.
I would usually just avoid the Chinese software that the player comes with and do this instead: 1. Find a preloaded video, record something using the video camera if there is one, or otherwise find a video in the correct format for your device. 2. Open the working video in VLC media player or something else which can tell you the video codec, bitrate, audio codec, etc. 3. Find an online converter for your format, or use something like MiniTool Video Converter and set it up manually. It works great to convert videos to MPEG-4 320x240 to run on my AT&T Z431 ripoff Blackberry.

Just bought this and so far is a downgrade compared to Ipod nano 7 Gen. The biggest issue is how do you get the mp3 to display the music track by numerical order? It's in a weird alphabec order and for the last of me CANNOT change the listing order eventhought I had manually edit the tile name to display the number like "01_music title"????
You can tap on the timeline to go to a certain timestamp of the file (it can be pretty precise). I tested on a 100 minute audio file and it takes between 15 and 30 seconds to complete the seek, based on how far from the start you want to go to. You can then long tap on the previous/next arrows to enable seeking by increments of 15-20 seconds. The player has a Now playing functionality which retains the position on the timeline. You can switch it off while the file is playing and it will immediately start playing from the last position upon turning it on. From what I could gather until now, it doesn't work on multiple files, so if you want to retain the position on one particular file, you have to be careful not to select another in the meantime. Seek by timeline tapping doesn't work on video files.
I Highly recommend to improve a better sound quality you need Shop for Hi-fi golden plates of 3.5mm Aux cables for clear & high definition sound quality. So, that way your audio recording sounds like HD clear sound quality for your Mp3 music files. You welcome.

I have this player. I hate it. Screen is supper dark and very hard to see when outside. It does not display the artist only song title when playing a song. I have it on shuffle but it seems to play the same songs again and again.
Anybody that has owned this for at least a year have any problems? The battery still holding a good charge and whatnot? Trying to decide if I should get it. It's a phone with no phone functionality, so no, not really. It's an MP3 player with bonus features, but they're strictly bonus items not fully fleshed apps like on Apple or Android, or even Symbian. It's about as basic as a Sony Ericsson T610, from 20 years ago.
Two comments: 1) WHY do so many players have the headphone socket UNDERNEATH????? I never knew of a cassette walkman that did this! 2) WHY do reviews NEVER cover whether there is a resume playback function? I listen to a lot of audio dramas and often have to leave them midway and pick back up later. My old sansa fuze does this perfectly, but it's dying and I need to find another player with the same function. They put so much useless shit on these players nowadays yet fail to cover the basics.
Really disappointed with this MECHEN MP3 Player. Got this mp3 player from Amazon. The audio output is really poor. A ton of audible distortions at low end and at very high end. Tried every sort of available equalizer settings including custom equalizer settings but no luck. My tiny Philips GoGear Vibe Mp3 player from nearly 15 years ago still sounds 10 timer better with no distortions. I decided to return this MECHEN MP3 Player to Amazon and get my refund.
Why would you purchase this when you could just get a small phone like 3 inches big and use it for music and other thing and it most likely has Bluetooth.
I would have prefered to see the file browsing function and the bluetooth pairing handling over the Tom & Jerry video.

According to the Computer Active magazine, 16th August 2023 it has this function. You can listen to music, fall asleep, and it switches off.

Hi, so the sound with headphones is loud and clear. Just like my cell?
Much louder than my pixel 5, with the cheap headphones that are provided with it. Decent bass too for little earbuds.

It's loud and decent quality. Reasonable bass response with the included headphones, but it has sufficient output to drive large headphones well too.

It's a bit bright for me on most EQ settings. I just leave it on funk, which gives a good punchy low end and not too much treble.
