Honestly I'm glad team asobi didn't just tack on a VR mode. The thing that made astro bot feel so amazing and revolutionary was the fact that it was built completely for VR.
If some of you are totally new to PCVR, I recommend the latest VR Humble Bundle: $10 for Serious Sam 1-3, Serious Sam Last Hope, Talos Principle VR, Gorn, Tentacular and Blockhood VR.
I’ve played a lot of games like it that I didn’t enjoy, but Pacific Drive has a nice balance of quality, creativity, and Narrative so far to keep me interested. I’m also into sci-fi so I like that side of it too. Good so far!
If there are those that are unfamiliar with cdkeys, g2a, kinguin etc. be mindful that some keys are for accounts, some are for region locked games, some are the actual game. It’s pretty clearly marked if you’re not just looking at the lowest price and buying. This is especially true for ps5 games that have been released on pc.
Subnautica and below zero are crazy af on pcvr. Got both modded also with hands!!! Ui was completely reworked for vr by these modders which is amazing😁both are breathtaking in VR. Also welcome to PCVR land. I think you got the bug now. Lol I came from psvr 1 but once I got bit by the pcvr bug and learning how to mod..it was over lol
@@AndrewEhrenreich again be aware that some compatibility may not be there at launch, especially for Mods. They can be very finicky about what they can work with and how. It MAY require some additional steps or updates from modders first. There is also a chance that some drivers may be compatible, but no way in knowing til we get the adapter. I would think it needs to be programmed first, unless by some miracle there is something that can connect the functionality.
Picked up paint the town red on your recommendation, enjoying it for what it is, total carnage ( I don't regret it). Hopefully max mustard gets a release in july early August, it would be a nice stop gap before big hitters land and i think it would do well in that window.
Yeah man 2024 is gonna be so back-ended it's ridiculous. Despite the heat I would have absolutely released one of the big hitters right now just because it's gonna be crazy crammed later. Glad you're enjoying PTTR so far! Definitely try the superhot mode while you're there, and all the game modes, it has a lot of cool fun stuff!
So i just bought a wheel & chassis & GT7 for $35. It looked like dude spilled some greesy crap on it cuz the artwork is discolored & greesy & it looks like he tried to cut it open cuz the artwork is cut and the plastic that holds the artwork. Had to move up the chain but theyre replacing the game free of charge and letting me keep the old game so i tossed the case in the trash, the disc is flawless so will soon have a sealed copy in the collection yay me
Nice AJ thanks for the suggestion, I've picked up Half Life 2 plus the two episodes! Another great cheap option this sale is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice for 3 bucks, it includes the native vr version and the flat version which could be played with UEVR and has upgraded graphics. I think UEVR should work with the upcoming adapter since I'm using it on my Psvr2 right now with the ivry driver and I don't think he made any special effort to get it to work with it. Atm I'm limited to play games with a gamepad though, so I can't wait for the adapter 😁 But it's not too bad as some games can only be played with a gamepad anyway, I'm able to play GTA 5 with the Luke Ross mod and my Logitech G29 and I have no words how amazing it is 😅
That's what I'm hoping for, but definitely approaching with caution just in case there's some issues. I've had different drastically experiences using the same headset wired vs wireless, controllers etc. But I'll be there day 1 testing everything.
@@PSVRUNDERGROUND No you're right, we're talking about Sony here 😅 Who knows maybe it turns out that we're only able to use it on PC in cinema mode, can you imagine? 😂 Jokes aside, there might be some issues with the controllers and UEVR, I hadn't thought of that before as they're probably more different than the headset itself. Anyway keep up the great content, it's always fun to watch the stream, especially now that you're covering PCVR and mods too 😄
I have a rough game plan in place and once I get the adapter will kind of go from there. Still have some unanswered questions as to what it will look like day 1 (settings/config/options)
Does it help to play Crash or another 3D platformer in VR? My main gripe with those games is not being able to gauge distances when jumping and landing.
My main gripe with the flat version was that I was just kind of getting bored with them. VR makes them fun and magical again for me heh. I don’t know if it would help you with that, but it does look amazing in 3D.
@@PSVRUNDERGROUND Metro is about to make VR history, i wasnt expecting the monsters to look like that, after the trailer they shown of the thing jumping at you that looked more like something from an N64 game
Hi there, I heard you say in one title running on uevr you were at 60 frames - so that is alright and doable for you/on pc? Seems a bit low in standard from what I’ve mostly heard about keeping an frames standard ie 72, 90, 60 repro - otherwise extent of people could be affected adversely by too low. Wonder is 60 more doeable on pc/uevr, and/or more vet, experienced vr tolerance people such as yourself and extent of others with more iron vr legs? I wonder if extent of some others couldn’t handle 60 frames/hertz, at least most initially or at some point have get better adapted to managing 60 if individually necessary.
Hello! I only need to use 60 FPS for games that can't hold a steady framerate on my PC, like Returnal. For me, it looks and runs great at 60 FPS, you need that speed to play it. Other games I can run anywhere from 72-120, maybe even more, it really just depends on the game. I usually try and leave some headroom and set it slightly under what my pc can handle. As far as motion sickness goes, people can experience this at any framerate because they do not have their VR legs, so it's pretty subjective I would say. It kind of just depends on the game but having a smoother experience will definitely help. It is very hard for me to get motion sickness, VERY hard, but I haven't even experienced a little discomfort from what I've played so far (When the settings are correct)
@@sandman7167 yeah you will need a gaming pc, I will have a setup video once I have the adapter so I know what works best at the best budget, but in the meantime I’ll try and post some recommendations soon. There’s definitely specific specs you want to target.
@@PSVRUNDERGROUND ok, my hope was that you can run it with 60fps native without reprojection. My graphic card is similar to yours, maybe al little more faster. I have a RTX 3070 Ti. I am looking forward to the adapter for my PSVR2. Keep up the good content! 😊
It felt weird saying no to GT7, Resident Evil, and Horizon, and saying yes to FNAF 😂 but it was mainly because the versions of those games were the wrong versions to get. Except maybe Horizon. Not a bad deal but It feels more like a 30 game for the sweet spot. FNAF rocks and you are right I messed up lol.
Sony letting me down in 2024 wasn't on my Bingo card, I'm happy you will be exploring more content but unfortunately with a child on the way I will not be getting a PC capable VR setup anytime soon. Gonna feel very left out watching these channels in the future. 🥲
Congrats on the Jr! Don't worry, despite experiencing a little fomo there's no rush, it's only going to be better the longer you wait and there's still some awesome PSVR2 games incoming that will spend plenty of your money lol.
I hope RE9 being delayed by roughly 1yr enables PSVR2 mode to release same day. It'll be so much scarier going in to VR completely blind.
Unfortunately I will never play this game unless VR mode is announced.
Thanks AJ. Awesome Returnal footage.😊

I would absolutely pay $50 or even $60 for a Switchback / Synapse double exclusive physical copy from Sony. Use your pull Mr Underground
