Everyone's talking about how Jaden shouldn't have attacked Dark Guardian with Tempest on his turn and I'm just sitting here wondering why he didn't use Spark Blaster to take out Defence Wall
I don't understand why the twins didn't switch gate guardian back to attack position on their turn to attack and end the match (the turn after it was switched to defence by spark man and his equip card)
This episode prooved that Syrus is an underrated character even if Jaden did help him he won the match and in season 2 he almost beat Zane who is 10 times better than him and he is one of the best proggresing characters in the yugioh franchise like yuma. He envolved from an unsecure and unconfident characters to an obelisk blue from all the rank up he did all with his skill
This episode just proved that the plot armor is strong with Syrus. That fusion monster was also the wackest thing I have ever seen. That’s the one thing I thought was dumb, Syrus convinced Jaden to not rank up to Ra Yellow because they wouldn’t be able to hang out as much. But Syrus took it without question. When it didn’t even matter because they could still hang out at each other dorms

Just in case anyone's wondering why the fuck Jaden attacked with tempest: It's explained in the sub. Since they can't share strategies with each other, he was trying to show Syrus that you don't have to destroy a monster for the opponent to lose life points. The move WAS basically pointless, but it gave Syrus the confidence to use power bond.
KingVegeta009 , he wants to confirm if the dark guardian is really cant be destroyed,by sacrificing his own tempest with the same attk points because he knew,he can save tempest by destroy 1 card on the field.
He did it so his Tempest would get his bonus 1000 ATK points, he wouldn’t of got the bonus 1000 if he didn’t attack, which didn’t really matter at the end so I guess he had a strategy, but it was ruined by the 1v1 trap card
Hmm. Jaden could have used Spark Blaster to put Defense Wall into attack mode (you can use it 3 times, no once-per-turn limit), then Syrus could have attacked Gate Guardian with Drillroid and saved Shield Crush for later ... if I recall how all this works right.

Just in case anyone's wondering why the fuck Jaden attacked with tempest:
It's explained in the sub. Since they can't share strategies with each other, he was trying to show Syrus that you don't have to destroy a monster for the opponent to lose life points. The move WAS basically pointless, but it gave Syrus the confidence to use power bond.
That makes sense.
And to show him that he can use his partner's monsters to summon his own, since Jaden sacrificed his face-down card.

He did it so his Tempest would get his bonus 1000 ATK points, he wouldn’t of got the bonus 1000 if he didn’t attack, which didn’t really matter at the end so I guess he had a strategy, but it was ruined by the 1v1 trap card

Sadly Drillroid doesn't destroy defense position monsters without damage calculation. They would have used shield crush regardless.
