Charlie Wiltermood ye he isn’t bad, but he’s American, it just doesn’t fit. You got English humour which is funny when Englishmen talk. Top gear is English program (there is top gear America if u want) so I’d prefer Mat from carwow over anybody in new Top Gear
Just ordered a fully loaded XC60 T6 R-Design in white with 22" rims. It's a true beauty. As far as exterior and interior are concerend, X3, Q5 and GLC do not even come close. Can't wait to get it in 3-4 months.
I'm jealous!!! Nice car. It's a long-term loan press car from Volvo UK press dept. Volvo UK management and press cars are always high spec, or the highest spec with powerful engines, lots of toys and Mat was just given one off the pool of available cars. And of course Mat did not choose any of the options, they just came with this car! No costs to Mat! He can do as many max launches and as much drifting as he wants. He does not pay for tyres; or damage to the interior (he admitted on camera). At the UK dealer there is a long waiting list for customers. Will Mat ever go back to a car without heated steering wheel, massage seats, Traffic Jam Assist, LED's, HUD, digital instruments, pano roof - Ha! - perhaps not if he had to pay for them...! Nice car!
the things you didnt like: 1- automatic folding mirrors: have you checked the options in the infotaiment system? 2- the boot cover is not automatic like in the V90 and there's no option available either. 3- that's super odd but I have seen other cars with the same oxidation in that silver trim
I love that and I also like the design of the white interior better than the black interior the white interior just feels posture and more expensive than the black interior and plus the white lights the cabin up quite a lot
What bothers me the most is that we still don't have a review of the XC60 with standard suspension. Volvo is offering to journalist cars with optionnal air suspension for obvious reasons and they all underline how "confortable" is. Please do a review of this car with standard suspension.
You went with the best options, these are what I voted for! Inscription Grey 360 camera, adaptive suspension, and if possible bowers & wilkins then panoramic sunroof :). I would have gone for a 2014 X5 50i full option with under warranty till 2021 for that price though...
How weird, electrical folding mirrors is standard on the entry-level here in Sweden. Really surprises me that its not even included on the Inscription model in the UK. lol
I like your XC60. My V40 is "power blue" and "blond" inside. On my car, electric folding mirrors was standard equipment, look for them on your user's manual.
Lucky sod - what a gorgeous car. Such a huge Volvo fan and the new XC60 is bloody amazing. Shame it's not a T8 :P But the D5 is deeply impressive. Enjoy!
i believe you can set to automatically fold the mirrors once you lock the car, although maybe it's an additional feature in UK, but here in Malaysia its a standard.
Chrome does that on all newer cars, if you spray degreasing on them (agents that remove tar spots). The headlights start to fade for the same reason. Also, expect the black polished plastics on the pillars and in the grille to become scratched whenever you wash the car. These trims can only be improved by polishing and they will never look new again.
Mat - the wing mirrors made a whirring sound when you pushed it in, clue to they wil.go in automatically when you find the option on your screen. The left wing mirror will dip automatically when you reverse, so you don't kerb it. Clever stuff.
9:00 that's just some fluid (probably water) that didn't dry up before it was exposed to the sun and oxidized, I think something like that :D. just spray some water on it when the car is in shade and wipe it off with an towel of som sort.
I think volvo SUV's are the only ones i would every buy, (and i hate SUV's) the interior looks and feels brilliant, and there's the epic swedish body design and bulletproof build quality.
So again you have a full spec press car not many people will get... a D4 with a lower trim level would be more relatable for more people.. but it's good that you choose white seats, so people can see how easy / hard it is the to maintain the color... but well a 235hp full spec car is more fun and you can show more features
The inscription is much nicer than the R design i think Luxury is better than speed as you can't really find anywhere to go fast without getting in trouble and it is nicer in traffic tooo be in luxury.
Charlie Wiltermood i go for luxury, modcons and comfort over sports car speed everytime. Im not a play boy so i dont often get to my car up to 5 gear driving in london traffic
I have the previous XC60 almost fully loaded, great car. It's was £15k cheaper than this inscription, I love Volvo's but they are pricing me out of a new one, shame!
exactly the same here re costs.the light interior looks great but is a nightmare to clean , and the awd version we had ate through cv joints , that are a really expensive repair as only come with the balanced halfshafts, seats were not supportive enough for my mum, she alway felt she was sitting on top of the car rather than in it, I still thought was a lovely car though, but really are getting overpriced.
If you got this one because they had it in stock there then I'm pretty sure you didn't pick any of the options because the car was already made like that lol so results are just luck that it matched
@carwow , The folding mirror should be standard as it has been on any Volvo Momentum level and upwards for years now. Check the menu for car settings to make sure the fold mirror option is ticked. Should be under mirror settings. Cheers!
Yeah you are right?! But as volvo is only introducing Inscription models in india that too at a fair price.. there are no confusion for the buyers on the options available! And also there are a nice amount actually bigger amount of features packed in the only Inscription trim level! 😉.
I really like this particular configuration of the car, but definitely wouldn't go for the diesel engine. The plug-in hybrid is a much better choice in my opinion.
With these cars that can steer themselves, if a police officer were to catch you driving with no hands and claimed you were driving with due care and attention, does anyone know if you overturn that decision if you have this fitted to your car?
I'm pretty sure the wing mirrors will go in when you lock the car, together with the windows. I just got a XC60 with the same color as yours, thx Matte!~
Matt to fold the mirrors you need to tick the box in the settings/my car/mirrors and easy entry. can't believe you didn't find it and you faulted the car, it's a standard feature on XC60
The new top gear guys are not that good, i don't even watch it as much these days. I watch a lot of carwow now. I like that guy. He is funny and practical.
The reason the silver trim on the car looks weird, well the silver is actually nickel, and nickel changes color . So if you own the car you have to have silver polish to get it off clean.
Mat the side mirrors are definitely auto fold on the inscription pro, looks like you better tell the dealership about this as well when you take it back about the chrome problem.
+Samuel Brooks - quite! A nice loan car from the Volvo UK. (I think he knows about mirrors/parcel shelf, but had to include a few 'problems' for feedback effect).
Found it (on carwow.co.uk): "Range-topping Inscription Pro models come with the same high-tech infotainment system, upgraded leather seats and plush wooden trims as Inscription versions but come as standard with adaptive headlights, a heated windscreen, 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension and a massage function for the front seats."
Blimey! I recently looked at three possible new cars and had five replies on each one within 24 hours. It just so happened that my local dealership was the second cheapest for the car I chose. The best price came from CarWow but was 360 miles away. Local dealership won the contest.
Connor Depetro the SQ7 is like £20,000 more max. Plus it comes with better equipment meaning it could be cheaper if you don't want any options. This XC60 isn't even in the same class so if it's that much more like £20k more it's pretty damn affordable
Clarence Boddicker sq5 0-100 in 5.4, xc60 t8 in 5.2, 5.1 with polestar performance package. They are 420 hp. Max speed is 230, but only because volvo decide to stop it at 230, the car would go at 260/270 without limiters
Check the settings for folding wing mirrors I'm almost certain it will have it. And with the parcel shelf, the one a looked at in the show room retracted as the boot opened so again maybe check settings or fitting
The law prevents motorists from continuing in lane two when there is no reason not to return to lane one, which is the default lane. I don't follow your argument regarding merging traffic, as motorway junctions/slip roads are normally several miles apart.
It's your car, do what you want, you don't need to listen to us
TheAsianAviator You're right
TheAsianAviator Yes, exactly. I mean we will never sit in his car, so it's his thing.
siemenssx1 shut the hell up
you are right
He shouldn't have to listen to some viewers on how he spends £55,000 because it IS his car and his money in the end
Get this guy to top gear, he's much better than current new top gear crew
Frank Eve I completely agree.
He should just mention these will be "made in China" in the near future...
Matt leblanc is great on there and i actually prefer topper now to when jeremy clarkson, richard hammond and james may did it.
Charlie Wiltermood ye he isn’t bad, but he’s American, it just doesn’t fit. You got English humour which is funny when Englishmen talk. Top gear is English program (there is top gear America if u want) so I’d prefer Mat from carwow over anybody in new Top Gear
I agree
Have you checked the "Volvo XC60 car review" by carwow before you bought this car?
no, but he checked it on carbuyer`s
Gergely Kondás no but i think he knows the guy who made that review
Just ordered a fully loaded XC60 T6 R-Design in white with 22" rims. It's a true beauty. As far as exterior and interior are concerend, X3, Q5 and GLC do not even come close. Can't wait to get it in 3-4 months.
You picked exactly what i voted for.
Alexander Barr same
I love how safety features are always extra...safety should not be an option.
I know, right? And don't forget that this is Volvo, safety is one of their main selling point!
basic safety features like city safety are standard, what's an option is the Pilot Assist and other driving assist functions...
It's new tech. It's always gonna be an option. Give it a few years and they'll be standard. But I know what you mean.
Those are not safety features. They're moron driver features. No person with a working brain needs them.
Cunts will complain even when they have no grounds.
basically you bought whichever car you wanted and if it matched the vote then lucky enough
Make due for me to get one plzzzzzzz
The windmirrors should go in automatically, i dont think it's an option. On my 2011 volvo v60 it was standard
he must have pressed something, they are automatic on my v90 cc too
Not all V60's have it, our 2012 V60 R design doesn't have electric folding mirrors at all, you have to push them in yourself
Somalia is my city me too in my 2015 s60
Was a setting in Sensus in my '12 V40.
Same. My S80 has it but you have to go into the settings to enable it.
The mirrors go in automatically. You have to look up in the settings of the car.
Im sure because we also have a xc 60.
Why so many dislikes anyone who dislikes these videos obviously doesn’t know what a car is. Brilliant video may keep them up mate
The moulding trim is from degreaser being sprayed onto it. I work at Volvo, have had to fix some myself
Hi Matt - I have this same issue on my xc60 - will Volvo replace/fix this under warranty? Thanks.
Honestly, you drive it and changing a few stuff to make it more enjoyable for you, the driver, is completely ok and justified.
I'm jealous!!! Nice car. It's a long-term loan press car from Volvo UK press dept. OMG that interior is soooo gooddd

I like your XC60. My V40 is "power blue" and "blond" inside.
On my car, electric folding mirrors was standard equipment, look for them on your user's manual.
Its alright, as long as you like the car
Thanks for doing the Non - sports car reviews. Went for the Volvo and couldn’t have done it without this.
Lucky sod - what a gorgeous car. Such a huge Volvo fan and the new XC60 is bloody amazing. Shame it's not a T8 :P But the D5 is deeply impressive. Enjoy!
RichieRouge206 yeah same. I have two Volvo's a v60 and a v40
Well i'me envious of you.I love the v60. I wish I could afford one.
Yeah...well,it's not the same good old 2.4L D5,highly doubt it's near as good as old one,but of course car looks nice
The 12v outlet in the back is super useful for my family, I am quite thankful that you point them out.
Mat is the best! If carwow loses him, carwow loses itself!
i believe you can set to automatically fold the mirrors once you lock the car, although maybe it's an additional feature in UK, but here in Malaysia its a standard.
Looks great! Adaptive suspension is a must! Comfortable smooth ride, flat cornering.
Your trousers will make the interior purple!
Mat - the wing mirrors made a whirring sound when you pushed it in, clue to they wil.go in automatically when you find the option on your screen. The left wing mirror will dip automatically when you reverse, so you don't kerb it. Clever stuff.

Charlie Wiltermood i go for luxury, modcons and comfort over sports car speed everytime. Im not a play boy so i dont often get to my car up to 5 gear driving in london traffic
go into my car settings>. mirrors and easy entry. select fold mirror when lockd to activate/deactivate ☺
I have the previous XC60 almost fully loaded, great car. It's was £15k cheaper than this inscription, I love Volvo's but they are pricing me out of a new one, shame!

Matt has such a charismatic and charming personality. Absolutely love your work.
I love it. The xc60 is just gorgeous. 😍😍😍😍👌🏻
I like it, the XC looks sleek, clean, matured 👍🏼
i have the v90 cc and my wingmirrors go in automatically, im guessing that you have pressed something. and yes the cargo cover can be automatic
The rear lowering thingy should go off on its own Everytime you open the boot
"stitched effect on top of the dash" You mean a leather dash vs a plastic one.
bentleyspotter it's not leather, its leatherette, sooo...
I love how matt penetrates that 12 volt socket with his finger
I'm shook, never guessed a car price correct before
I voted Inscription, this colour, the blonde interior, the three options and the D5 engine! 👍🏻
If you got this one because they had it in stock there then I'm pretty sure you didn't pick any of the options because the car was already made like that lol so results are just luck that it matched
The B&W system is shockingly good. Just amazing.
Excellent choice ..but you shouldn't ask the "internet" for opinion!
There is a reason we come here. Just trust your judgement as much as we do.
@carwow , The folding mirror should be standard as it has been on any Volvo Momentum level and upwards for years now. Check the menu for car settings to make sure the fold mirror option is ticked. Should be under mirror settings. Cheers!
Awsome congratulations man, interesting since volvo will only release inscription model in India.
Yeah you are right?! But as volvo is only introducing Inscription models in india that too at a fair price.. there are no confusion for the buyers on the options available! And also there are a nice amount actually bigger amount of features packed in the only Inscription trim level! 😉.
this car i going to be around 40 lakhs (good price) btw volvo has released the r design and the t8 for xc90 in india
You can choose automatic mirror folding at locking in the Sensus menu, just as you can choose auto locking of the doors as you drive away, or not.
He did like the Brits are doing with the Brexit - completely ignore the vote results. That's what I call consistency! Well done :-)
How is going with the 52% of people that voted for Brexit ignoring the voting results
Matte black the whole thing. Would look super cool.
What a beautiful car.
I really like this particular configuration of the car, but definitely wouldn't go for the diesel engine. The plug-in hybrid is a much better choice in my opinion.
It's your car, configure it as you want! In the end, you have to like it! :)
I can watch & listen to the lovely Mat all day long x
With these cars that can steer themselves, if a police officer were to catch you driving with no hands and claimed you were driving with due care and attention, does anyone know if you overturn that decision if you have this fitted to your car?
thelegendthatismatt you are not supposed to take your hands off the steering wheel
The spec is way better than what people wanted
Ok next step is windows tints... asap
inscription/ inscription pro is soooo much better looking than the r-design
Great presentation
I'm pretty sure the wing mirrors will go in when you lock the car, together with the windows. I just got a XC60 with the same color as yours, thx Matte!~
that is literally the same car that you reviewed 3 months ago lol
Marco Troxler hasn’t he reviewed t6 petrol 316hbp?
Uh.... it was LHD though.. hello...
Matt to fold the mirrors you need to tick the box in the settings/my car/mirrors and easy entry. can't believe you didn't find it and you faulted the car, it's a standard feature on XC60
Should have got a Dacia Duster. Much better. Plenty of room, new technology. Everything you'd want from a 21st century car.
Except it is cheap and plasticky and Volvo are better quality and more luxurious Dacia are good if u r on a budget if not get the volvo or a mercedes.
Nah, Dacia is more in hthe category of lada, fiat, ssangjong or tata, not Volvo, this is a really ignorant post from you.
That's good banter. Sad how ppl dont get it
foysol ahmed Dacia duster is a horrible car..
The new top gear guys are not that good, i don't even watch it as much these days. I watch a lot of carwow now. I like that guy. He is funny and practical.
Why not the T8?
Jeppe Werring because it’s expensive as hell, of course...
I'm glad you went for this instead if the R, I wanted to know more about it so keep being awesome, thanks!
How dare you? I feel betrayed. I'll never trust anyone ... ever again !
Atchiii good.
The reason the silver trim on the car looks weird, well the silver is actually nickel, and nickel changes color . So if you own the car you have to have silver polish to get it off clean.
Congrats Man! Love It How U Speced The Car Hope You Enjoy Your Time With The Car! :)
52k is an awesome deal for the inscription pro. 52k here is like the base XC60.
Can't believe that you bought a new car with a Diesel engine anno 2017.
BokiXI - Mat did not buy this car. It is a loan car.
Mat the side mirrors are definitely auto fold on the inscription pro, looks like you better tell the dealership about this as well when you take it back about the chrome problem.
But i vote and "we" won the Swedish blue colour. Give us back the blue car!
Good choice man apart from the colour the blue is stunning
Sweet volvo mat nice☺☺☺☺
I love the new XC series, especially the XC 40!
If someone gave me a £52K car to use for free for 6 months, I wouldn't be moaning about non electrically folding mirrors or the parcel shelf... 😒
Samuel Brooks actually you can turn the mirrors on in the settings!!!
My car has that parcel shelf and I have no issue with it, I have had for 3 years.
+Samuel Brooks - quite! A nice loan car from the Volvo UK. (I think he knows about mirrors/parcel shelf, but had to include a few 'problems' for feedback effect).
I mean they gave it to him for a long term review
He's a car reviewer; of course is he going to point out little flaws
Agree 100% on active radar cruise, my last 2 cars (MB) have had it and I will never not have it in a daily driver
What is "Inscription PRO", and how does it differ from "Inscription"? I can't seem to find it when I try to build my Volvo (Sweden).
Found it (on carwow.co.uk):
"Range-topping Inscription Pro models come with the same high-tech infotainment system, upgraded leather seats and plush wooden trims as Inscription versions but come as standard with adaptive headlights, a heated windscreen, 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension and a massage function for the front seats."
Alex Johansson he talked about it in the video
You ned a T6, D5 ore a T8.
Alex Johansson Yes he did
Yes this guy is the superior. Why any TV channel not hiring him
Glad I bothered voting........
The overall car's configuration is great. That exterior colour, though...
@carwow - I tried the Carwow dealer quote process a few months ago and only heard back from two, not five...?
Hi! If you send an email over to help@carwow.co.uk they'll be happy to look into it for you. What car were you searching for?
Blimey! I recently looked at three possible new cars and had five replies on each one within 24 hours. It just so happened that my local dealership was the second cheapest for the car I chose. The best price came from CarWow but was 360 miles away. Local dealership won the contest.
Blue will be good
Please do 2018 BMW X3 full review soon. Guys like if you agree so he can see this comment!!!
I would have loved to see it in the blue r-design spec, but it is a gorgeous car nonetheless 😍
Nice car! Who chose that?
Gray is the best colour to fit any 🚗
You do not respect the viewers unsubscribed just now
I didn't vote because I felt you're driving it you decide. Which is what you've done
Nah should have gotten the SQ7
Clarence Boddicker only for the engine .... but the t8 version is faster so .....
Lorenzo Emili
The T8 isn't faster than the SQ7 if that's what you mean.
1betterthanyou1
This Nigga said he was considering the SQ7 that's why I'm surprised he picked the Volvo.
Matt remember that driving without holding the wheel and all these systems won't protect you from the idiots on the road. You won't be able to react
why does it have to be a soccer mom car
Because the ride high.. Did you also vote for Hillary with that stupid question?
Adnan-عدنان-Àdnane-アドナン why should everyone drive a sports car?
His got a camera crew, daily. He has a Porsche 911 for other things.
Check the settings for folding wing mirrors I'm almost certain it will have it. And with the parcel shelf, the one a looked at in the show room retracted as the boot opened so again maybe check settings or fitting
There is no such a thing as an Inscription Pro. There is just the inscription. What a brilliant sales pitch by the Volvo dealer LOL
Oh! God! Another typical bloody Volvo driver who'll just sit in the middle lane just because he can. :-(
The Zanzibarbarian what ?!
The Zanzibarbarian: I doubt it: but it is an offence to do so in the UK.
There's merging from the right (left in the uk I guess?), and the left is the fast lane (right for the uk?), so where else are you supposed to sit?
I thought those were Skoda drivers....keep up with the times!
The law prevents motorists from continuing in lane two when there is no reason not to return to lane one, which is the default lane. I don't follow your argument regarding merging traffic, as motorway junctions/slip roads are normally several miles apart.
