    No discussion on the ratios specially standard deviation which is really important for long term investments.
    Other than that great video. Showing their mistakes which I guess everyone makes when starting their investment journey.

    How do you strategise to take out the money from funds that are not doing well given the ltcg, stcg, exit load, etc?

    • @pranayk37
      @pranayk37  27 дней назад

      Usually I give the fund 3-4 years anyway. So it falls well beyond all lock ins and LTCG thresholds

    How do you pay taxes on your US investments, I've been able to download good reports from IND money for the annual tax filing in India and ever since I bought US stocks I always had to use a CA to file my taxes. Do let me know how you do your taxes and what are the artifacts available from IBKR to help you in that.

    • @pranayk37

      I use a CA too. IBKR has a section where you can download your transaction and capital gain statements from, just share them with your CA

    How do you fund the interactive broker account there is no option to do it via INR? Through which option do you fund it?

    • @pranayk37
      @pranayk37  2 месяца назад

      Never faced this issue. I’ve been funding it from my icici or Kotak depending on the exchange rate. You can directly remit it from the apps of these banks (fund transfer abroad)and inputting the Interactive broker bank account details. Let me know if you still face issues

    Great video.
    Can u help with information which indian bank account to link with interactivebroker so that forex charges are least? Advise which one do u use and why?
    Which subscription type do u use TIRED OR FIXED?
    What all charges are in scope for buy and sell of US stocks ?

    • @pranayk37
      @pranayk37  3 месяца назад +1

      I compare between kotak and ICICI Banks (those are the two accounts I have). And I've almost always found icici bank to be cheaper when it comes to forex rates. You'll notice there are some coupon codes available while transferring on the same page of icici. So do keep on the lookout.
      Fixed versus tiered, i have tiered because it makes sense for my volume. I don't invest in crores and the minimum commission is lower in tiered. If you're investing 10-20L, you'll be better off with tiered too.
      See the spreadsheet on this link below and you can compare on when fixed becomes cheaper.
