I am sorry I have been away on here for a couple of days. The issue on ground then required an “emergency response” but not to worry, your baby girl is doing just fine now. Many thanks! and I hope you enjoy watching sweet fam. xoxo
BABYGIRL,it is great you are back but you have missed one of the greatest LIVE performances EVER. Please watch this again in "Free Bird-Lynyrd Skynyrd-Oakland,California 1977" and be AMAZED:)
I'll be 60 this coming December. It warms my heart to see you discover and enjoy some of the best rock and roll!! There is a whole music library out there to listen to. I also agree Kansas would be worth your time.
0:21: "Seems like I'm in for a ride".....Baby girl, that's an understatement. "Free Bird" is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Mo, Skynyrd has so many great songs, too many to list here, but "Sweet Home Alabama" is a must listen.
When you wrote on the screen the music was making you feel calm I thought, "Give it about 4 minutes Mo, that' feeling is gonna change!!" There's a wonderful live version of Free Bird as well (that I so happened to be at) that you should watch with your sister. It's a real eye opener on the way we used to watch concerts back in the day. It's great having you back Morenikeji😘 RNB
Over many years in the US, this song was played at a lot of young men's funerals, especially those who were bikers, or middle aged men who had to leave before their time. Very emotional, especially in that context.
One of my personal favorites since childhood is "Tuesday's Gone." The instrumentation and the smoothness of it just hits my soul. But they have a lot of great songs, like: Simple Man, Mr. Banker, Four Walls of Raiford (the raw version where it's just Ronnie and the dobro guitar), On The Hunt, Gimme Three Steps, the Ballad of Curtis Lowe, That Smell...and more. That's just what I remember off the top of my head.
Imagine being played at a High-School dance in the 70's. It was a "Slow Dance"... sweet and mellow for the first half. Wonderful memories. Then... the Bird "Cannot Change" changed the song. Then it became a wonderful, full out rock dancing event. The Best. I'm old enough to be your Grand Papa. You're beautiful. But, 40 year ago, I'd loved to have taken you to our dance. 🙂
"Green Grass and High Tides" by The Outlaws. It's another Southern Rock song with a similar build - slower start into an extended "jam". The normal version is nearly 10 minutes long, but there is a live version (Capitol Theater, 1978) that's 23+ minutes long. It's such a tremendous version and if you ever need a similar "pick me up", I recommend the long version (no need to react).
This was their closing song at every concert. Performing 2d for Rolling Stones the band had to figure out how to play their set in 30 minutes leaving 9 minutes for Free Bird. Basically they just went from song to song without taking applause. Ed King is on lead guitar. Ronnie Van Zandt (on cover, left on back line) is lead singer. Two of their early songs you should check out: Ballad of Curtis Lowe and Simple Man. BTW Mo, you have one of the greatest smiles on the face of the earth
BABYGIRL,it is great you are back but you have missed one of the greatest LIVE performances EVER. Please watch this again in "Free Bird-Lynyrd Skynyrd-Oakland,California 1977" and be AMAZED:)
Possibly the king's of harmony guitar! Three guitarists in this one! Eagles Hotel California another good example of harmony guitar with two guitarists!🥰
Both wings going at it. One of best is my vote too. Just an anthem to simple complicated living. We are here now. That is from the past, but it tells alot of history from there to here
That smile lit up my day. This is what great music does. I highly doubt when Skynrd wrote and recorded this in 1974 they even for a moment thought that 48 years later a woman in Nigeria would be rocking, jamming, and enjoying as much as we did in the States 🙂
I saw Free Bird played live by Lynyrd Skynyrd just months before the plane crash. The song played live to me seemed like a plane after a smooth take off soon became very intense, sounding like they were searching for a place to set it back down. Outstanding live performance. Wish you could have been there. But it all happened many years before you were born. So glad they left a "Live" version for you. Check it out! Three lead guitars makes it all the more amazing to watch.
Its the way the smile bursts out on reactors faces as the transition hits. Everybody watching knows whats coming , then the reactor ‘gets it’ and realises why they were prompted to listen. All time anthem. Shake it baby girl, shake it 💃🏾 Your smile is like a ray of sunshine on a dark and gloomy day Mo
They were my very first concert in April of 1977 Nazareth opened the show. Then Skynyrd brought down the house. I had just turned 17 I'll remember it till I die.
So glad you got to hear this it's been a favourite of mine since before you were born when it played on what was called pirate radio station's loved your reaction as the guitar's kicked in you just can't help head banging to this it feels so natural
I love your infectious personality and the way you fall into the music, makes me smile. Hope you keep it up and love to watch you reactions. I would love to see you react to Dust in the Wind by Kansas.
my favourite baby girl is putting down some cute moves!! 💖 💃🏿 💖 yes, sometimes when difficult things happen, music can be so uplifting... (btw, you were right - in the middle it was a guitar with the drums). Much love to you and your sis (and her continuing recuperation) 💞💞
It's nice to see just people enjoying music you love it like I love it red yellow white black we all bleed on the inside. Just nice to know somebody feels like I do, see Peter Frampton
When lists of "greatest rock songs" get produced, this one is almost always in the top 5 (along with Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin). If you liked this, I'd recommend a few other Southern Rock groups - Allman Brothers and Marshall Tucker Band.
Hi Mo, good to see you enjoying this Lynyrd Skynyrd classic so much and glad that it was just what you needed! Loved your reaction & moves when the epic guitar ending was in full flow! Keep smiling beautiful!
I saw them in concert in 1977 a few months before the tragic accident that killed three members of the band. One of the best concerts I ever went to. Shake it baby girl!
I'm glad you're back. I was just about to ask kilode? Always remember you and family come first, what ever problem you had I'm happy you're better now. Beautiful as always!!
Ohhh man!!! My friends band plays this song at their backyard shows. They did in 15 minute version of it last weekend and it was amazing. Just a song by itself on this album is very touching as well
As someone who was fortunate to see them live in the mid-70s...I love watching younger folks get to hear this song for the first time...and your smile at 5:19 says it all...🙂
I am so glad you are back This is a great song and yes it fades too soon! I love the fact that you have your heart on your sleeve, once the shoulders start moving and we see your beautiful smile and your face cannot hide the joy you have in the music. Its wonderful to see. Take care❤❤❤❤
We all need a little " freebird" in our lives. I never tire of hearing the guitar solos. Watch the live version and don't let the confederate flag bother you. They were not racists, just southern boys.
To me, this will always be the best freedom song in the world. The beginning of the song is saying, "Hey, it's not your fault, I'm just not ready, I don't want to be saddled down." Course, you can apply it to anything that you feel is holding you down or back, such as a bad job, parents, a bad friend, a boring town. The second part of the song is when you finally shed those problems and that feeling of absolute freedom and relief washes over you. You hop in your car, windows down with this song blazing and you just drive, anywhere, doesn't matter, why make decisions, you're free, absolutely free!
The original song did not have the guitar solo at the end. And the record company hated it. Allen Collins decided to throw in a ridiculously long guitar solo and it became what it was.. One of the greatest rock anthems in the history of rock and roll.
Watching your video reactions is like the highlite of my day.I always so look forward to seeing them, they always cheer me up when I'm down.My day would not be the same without your cheeful winning smile, your smile, your cheerful personality are like a ray of sunshine. And I so enjoy watching you and your sister together, you and your sister never fail to make me laugh and smile. And Lord knows we all need alot more smiles in this world, and laughter's certainly the best medicine for when you're down. You and your sister are so comical together,I so love you guys!.John M Guinto
An ode to freedom, written by guitarist Allen Collins. By the way, he plays the guitar here with a bottle neck, which elicits this singing tone from the instrument. Great reaction as always, Mo.
So glad to see you back, Morenikeji! I've been saving this reaction until today as a treat for myself. We were on vacation last week, so work this week and catching up has been rough. I was so happy to see this tonight. I was right about what a treat it was!
When you tubes "babygirl" is having a bad time we feel it but we all send you love and hugs . This is one very underrated tune just a total feel good tune and it was nice to see those eyes shine as you listened . Much love always from Northern Ireland ♥️
Iconic song and guitar workout by one of the best at this kind of rocking epic. For something in a similar vein, try the classic Green Grass and High Tides by The Outlaws, more great southern rock to get lost in. You look great as always! Nice reaction and Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
Hello Baby Girl. I needed this too, was feeling down and having a bad time, but seeing you reacting to such a classic southern rock song was uplifting, specially your pretty eyes and beautiful smile, you made my day Morenikeji, Love you baby girl I' am relieved to know you are well, stay safe and God bless you! I was literally just watching another one of your videos when this one popped up I love these classic songs your smile and reaction makes my day !
We missed you
Welcome back sunshine!
some where in the deepest part of time and space this legendary guitar solo is still playing out in all it's majesty and glory!
Damn straight! All hail Skynyrd and Ricky Bobby!
Along with Hotel California and Sultans Of Swing. I could listen to all 3 outros forever.
Fuck! I had the thought that there is a corner in heaven somewhere where skynard is playing an infinite solo...
They're waiting on Gary to play that slide part.
I'll be 60 this coming December. It warms my heart to see you discover and enjoy some of the best rock and roll!!

"Free Bird" is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Mo, Skynyrd has so many great songs, too many to list here, but "Sweet Home Alabama" is a must listen.
This is one of the most iconic, most famous rock songs ever made. You can see why.
Great reaction as always.
Makes me cry now, but in the past, made me carry on with ...this life
I’ve heard this song a million times and I still get goosebumps every time!!!
With this song you forget your problems …free bird …fly again …voila !
Freebird - Live in Oakland 1977 is must see, hear and react. Absolutely blazing.
I bet she cries when she hears "Simple Man" for the first time.

Thee Official Southern Rock Anthem. The only way to listen to this song is LOUD! When I listen to Skynyrd so do my neighbors 😎💯💪✔️
great song, great band, great reaction. Beautiful smile. please never stop smiling.

Those are all great songs!! Not cliche hits
Mine also.
Ronnie Van Zant was a genius!
There is a live version of this on RUclips, well worth watching.
At the school dances we'd start out dancing slow as a couple but then had to transition to rocking out at the end. Good times.
I had the same feeling too😁
Ronnie, Allan, Steve, Cassie, Leon, and Billy would be so proud to see this Nigerian Princess rocking out right now.
I am doing fine, thanks a lot.
I really really appreciate the detailed info too❤️
All time guitar solo. Great reaction!
A beautiful girl rocking out to a fantastic piece of rock! Suddenly the world is a beautiful place again!
Real Rock and Roll classic, Love this song . Some places in America you better stand when this song plays. State Law
wow
Your smile always makes my day brighter !
Glad you enjoyed the song !
May Gods Blessings be with you !
aww, Amen, thanks a lot!
We all needed this one!

One of the best guitar solo in history
My friends band played this at their backyard show couple of weeks ago and it still blew my mind.
This isn't merely just another song; it is an anthem!

Possibly the king's of harmony guitar! Three guitarists in this one! Eagles Hotel California another good example of harmony guitar with two guitarists!🥰
Love your smile - you light up the world. Great reaction - I knew you were going to love the guitar solo.
So good!

Where she says “whoo!” just as the guitar solo ends was priceless. Yep! It’s like a musical roller coaster. 😃
Its the way the smile bursts out on reactors faces as the transition hits. Everybody watching knows whats coming , then the reactor ‘gets it’ and realises why they were prompted to listen. All time anthem. Shake it baby girl, shake it 💃🏾

They were my very first concert in April of 1977 Nazareth opened the show. Then Skynyrd brought down the house. I had just turned 17 I'll remember it till I die.
Back in the day people held up a lit lighter and scream Freebird at a lot of concerts. Even ones where Skynyrd wasn't on stage. LOL
That guitar solo at the ending is legendary.
