      Actually Roger never became a dentist but did get a degree in Biology! All four super educated and all four genius musical artists including songwriters.

      so true - this is called the best live performance of any time - and they are right to say it.
      If you see the vid, this was meant as the most famous live aid for africa, in 1985 millions were in danger to die. So they made - in the USA and UK this project. Every famous band of that time (and before) were there and performed. But all loosed to Queen - and Freddy was ill at this day, he had an infection at the throat. Boy i am glad that i saw that performance on tv at this day. 14 years old, but VEEEEEEEERY impressed. It is told that Elton John came backstage and was pissed of because he had to challange Queen. Every other group knew they would not be able to perform only 50% of the quality of queen.

    I enjoyed your reaction. No one could belt it out like Freddie, not then, and certainly not now. Roger the drummer, and Brian the lead guitarist could both sing better than 95% of artists around these days, who all rely on auto tune too much. Please continue with Queen, can I suggest White Queen, live at the Odeon Hammersmith 1975. It’s amazing!!!

    Freddie's stage presence will be unmatched FOREVER! I have NEVER asked anyone who did not ABSOLUTELY ADORE Freddie! He is, easily the best frontman in history!!! Love him!!

    As others have said, Roger singing while expending a LOT of energy, drumming his heart out. It's a wonder he could find enough breath to sing! AND he's having to sing with his neck twisted to one side for the mic. Extraordinary!!!

    Baby girl, check out Queen at Live Aid. It's about 20 minutes long, but worth every minute. Considered by many to be the greatest live rock performance in history.

    George Michael did a great cover to this song..it was also a live version of the song which he sang at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert after Freddie passed away..it's a brilliant version of the song performed with the rest of Queen!

    I had the pleasure of seeing them live 4 times. They didn't recreate their albums they transcended them. Roger has a 5 octave range btw. He isn't just drumming and singing he is singing harmony over Freddy.

    The best singer to ever grace this earth. This was Freddie's favourite song.
    Roger Taylor had a fabulous voice as well, unbelievable high voice. Check out "I'm in Love with My Car" Live at Hammersmith 1979.

    It was really a blessing when I twice had the opportunity to see them live in concert in Vienna, Austria - I will never forget that extraordnary performance they gave. I always liked them as a school kid. And now I even love them more than ever before. I miss Freddie, his talents, accurancy and awsome melodies. This year on November 24th it is already 30 years ago since Freddie passed away. R.I.P. Your Majesty ...

    i saw them in 1975, right after the album came out and out of all the gazillions of shows i saw, these guys were top 3. on my seat from beginning to end in a tiny, 1500 seat theatre. good times.

    Yes Roger Taylor is a beast on the drums. Drumming and singing is really not easy.
    I was lucky enough to experience Queen live in the 70s. Incredible energy. They were one of my inspirations to make music.

    Roger Taylor was Scottie Pippen to Freddie's Michael Jordan. Incredible vocal duo and Brian May on guitar completed the trifecta. Absolutely incredible band fraught with once in lifetime talent.

    OK I'm old, I saw Queen live 5 times. I suggest you watch them at Live Aid, to this day it's the largest concert ever held. It was in aid to raise money for the Ethiopian Famine in the early 1980's. I was in the Royal Marine Commandos working in a Refugee Camp at the time, we listened on the Radio. But when Queen came on, oh my, they stole the show. I only watched it for the first time last year, my son put it on the TV. A lot of memories came back.

    Check out the official video for Somebody To Love. While the live version is great, they can't replicate the harmonies produced in the studio. The high falsetto is the drummer, Roger Taylor, and together with Freddie, Brian, and John, the harmonies are insane! Freddie displays his incredible pipes in the studio version as well.
